In this video I take over a college football program that hasn’t had a very successful history. With Texas and Oklahoma joining the SEC in 2024 I takeover South Carolina to ensure they don’t get left behind.

To answer the question you asked earlier in the video, a Gamecock is a fighting rooster, they were bred to be strong for cockfighting (yes that’s a thing, not a gay thing). The university adopted the name after the Brigadier General of the South Carolina militia during the American revolution, Thomas “Gamecock” Sumter. He gained the nickname because of his fierce and courageous fighting tactics, and a British general even commented that he “fought like a gamecock.”

We went 5-7 this year winning three of the last 4 games of the season despite being down 8 offensive lineman for each of the last 4 weeks, Go Cocks!

This makes me happy to see. As a Gamecock fan it hurts me to see how fair weather some of our fans have been but I still believe in garnet and black. Maybe one day we can get to this level
i loved the 60 year Rebuild. and i love this 20 year rebuild. such long rebuilds are just awesome and i like seeing everything developing over those years in game

NCAA football is weird when it comes to who will get drafted. Had a 99 overall, 2 time heisman trophy winning running back at fsu and for some unknown reason he went undrafted.

Rebuild the Maryland Terrapins please... My Terps have been historically MID. We have a 584-534-30 (50%) record all time, a 13-14-2 (48.3%) bowl game record, and haven't been ranked in the final AP Poll since 2010.😬 What's worse was that in 2010 we had not been ranked the entire season and barely snuck into the final polls at 23 since we won our bowl game. Also, since 2000, we only have 7 seasons with 8+ wins(8 if we win the Music City Bowl).

I agree lol, clemson n sc games were always so intense 2 top 10 teams playing head to head, Sc should have went to the national chamionship those years, they had so many superstars, its a shame, they lost 2 games and didnt even go to a bcs bowl.

@28:49 I hate cutting players too. It's so hard because you put so much time and resources into recruiting these players, only to have to turn around and tell them they weren't good enough. As a coach, the winning can be incredible but those moments - is what all the people just watching this ...will never understand.

One thing I'll say about Gamecock fans are they are loyal. I remember going to home games when they went 0-21. Williams Brice stadium was still packed. The fans keep coming and keep talking crap lol.

Year 4 when you got the first natty, you stated Georgia won the SEC but they were 11-1 going into Conference Championship week but were 11-2 when you played them in the playoffs so they lost the SEC championship game. I wonder who won, my guess being TAMU since they were 10-3 going into the playoffs.
