Great video! Your are right, having another set of hands is help greater than the sum of its parts.

Cool vid! Exactly what I was looking for.
Question: How did you put the stop plate back on after you pinned the board?

Excellent question. I didn’t show this in the video because I did it afterward.
What I did was dug a small hole under the CB and lowered it till the backing plate holes were on top and I could access them.
However, my recommendation is to do it the way I removed them - with the pin out. I lifted the CB (with a rope or wire through the pivot hole.) that way I as able to bring the backing plate close to the top of the housing and it was quite easy from that position.
Bottom line, I stall backing plate before pivot bolt.

Thank for a very instructive video. did you galvanize the centre plate or painted? or considered the fitting of anodes to reduce rusting?

Good thoughts. I haven’t seen or heard of any anodes in CBs.

Some padding on the scateboard would have prevented the scratches.......but its only human to not be prepared for everything that can happen......

You got it. And that’s why I do these videos, so you can learn from Miss You mistakes.

What did you use to seal around the pin?

I put a brass bushing in the hole in the CB and the epoxy pour filled in the gap.

I haven’t done it yet. But my plan is to stuff some cotton in there and cover it with thickened epoxy.
