    Oh my gosh....I love it. I often 1/2 watch & mostly listen to these tutorials while at work but I had to restart this one 4 times...cause I had too many distractions & I was afraid to miss something 😂🤣🤦‍♀️🤣🤣. As I'm watching its Aug 2024 & my a/c crashed, it's °93 in my house..so, I picked up Whataburger, sat in my car in my driveway..ate & watched the whole thing. I'm going to get as many 🎃 frames as I can & make these. I saw a "similar" video that was a heart frame made to look like angel wings...😕 Do youbever wish you were independently wealthy and be able to do nothing but craft, paint all day?😂😂❤. Thank you for taking the time to do this.

    I tried to make the pumpkin wreath and had great difficulty with the mesh. It frayed quite a bit. It could have been the brand I bought at Michaels. I also had to add leaves to fill in some areas.
    You are a great instructor, but this wreath is not as easy to make as you show it. I will be attempting some of your other wreaths.

    Yours is beautiful. My squares are not as great shaped as yours. I even brought a wood burning tool. It seems to unravel a lot. Suggestion. I did get the mod podge also. Thanks

    • @ChristineFitzgibbons-ob4dw
      @ChristineFitzgibbons-ob4dw  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi there. I highly recommend the Mod Podge. Nothing will totally prevent fraying but this helps. I think mesh quality can also play a role. Unfortunately, I think some of the commercially available poly burlaps (like those from Michael’s, Joann’s, etc) can be a little flimsier than what you can purchase from online craft retailers.

    This wreath is Beautiful. I went to the dollar Tree they were out of the pumpkin wreath. Hobby lobby has the Pumpkin wreath . If I use deco mesh . I need to know what measurements to use.

    • @ChristineFitzgibbons-ob4dw
      @ChristineFitzgibbons-ob4dw  ปีที่แล้ว

      Using poly burlap, I use a 10” wide roll of mesh that’s 10 yards in total length. Since deco mesh is a bit thinner, you might want to use two squares of mesh layered per petal (so 2 rolls of mesh assuming its 10 yards per roll). Good luck! 🍀

      Using orange colored zip ties might help, particularly on the sides. You can also add extra leaves up top if you feel things look sparse. Good luck!

    Just saw your pumpkin wreath. Love it but is it possible to use the 6" burlap mesh. If so how many more petals would you have to use for it. Also how much would you have to buy?

    • @ChristineFitzgibbons-ob4dw
      @ChristineFitzgibbons-ob4dw  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there. I'm just not sure the 6" width would work as well. If you cut it into 6x6" squares, the petals may not be wide enough to overlap from left-to-right and you may get some gaps. If you do try it, let me know how it works out! Take care, Christine

      @ChristineFitzgibbons-ob4dw  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Frances. Yes, you could use scissors, but if you do, I’d absolutely line the cut edges with some Mod Podge. If you do, the mesh will fray less and make your life a whole lot easier! Good luck!!!

    My mother would make Christmas wreaths fold and gathering fabric the same way. Then she would take the petals or leaves and poke them into a styrofoam ring. Sometimes she would make the whole thing out of different greens and other times she made it look like it was a wreath of poinsettias with green leaves in the back ground. She was soooo very talented. I’m glad I got some of her creative genetics. I miss crafting with her.

    Really like your pumpkin wreath. Very cute. I have 2 suggestions use your wire cutters to cut your zip ties. Trey are made for tougher jobs! And maybe use shorter zip ties on the back, I’m sure shorter ones are cheaper. I’m surprised you cannot see the zip ties in the petals of the pumpkin. Maybe if you look really really close you can.

      Absolutely! You can either zip tie them all ahead of time and then attach them. Or, some people use mini clips, like the ones you use to close potato chip bags, and pre-make a bunch of petals before attaching. Take care!!!

    I picked up several of the frames last year and put them away until I'm ready to make them as they've been snatched up quickly when available. I've seen different designs but I like yours the best. I'm saving this video. Very pretty!

    So pretty. Love the pic you used and your hand bow. What brand of scissors do you have? It cut the ribbon nicely even after using them to cut zip ties. Enjoy your videos.

      Hi Sherry. I use Gingher scissors…they are well-worn but very reliable!

      @@ChristineFitzgibbons-ob4dw Thanks. I have heard that is a good brand of scissors.

    Been wanting to make several of these pumpkins, all in different ways. I'm definitely going to make one this way. Too cute!🥰
