Had a few of these container frames with out the plastic. I also joined 4 of them together with long lengths of iron across the back and top and sides. I also tow it from paddock to paddock . My girls love it.
havent really changed anything, i had intended for them to be moved around like a "train" but its a bit hard on them, so we move them round individually. But really happy with them they are cheap and work well, and you will see in our latest kidding videos we set them up as individual pens to help bonding of mum and kids and protection for the kids over the first few days. Glad you found us, and glad you liked the channel!
G'day from Gundaroo! Love this idea as I've been searching near and far for ideas for moveable shelters...have to ask though - where do you get 4 IBC's for $300.00?! We only have a small number (7) of Boers and have recently invested in 14 Australian White stud ewe lambs with a view to breeding same. Gotta tell you though, those sheep don't have an active brain cell between them! The goats are absolute geniuses in comparison - full of personality, predictable and affectionate, easy to train to "the white bucket"...just a dream compared to those bloody sheep.
ha ha yes i have heard that about the aussie whites in particular! Once you get the goats trained to the bucket i swear they are like dogs! We get our IBC's from a few places one is a spray joint that sells used ones for charity for $50 each they just need a pressure wash inside, and a seed company goes through heaps of them. Check out some of my latest videos as we modified the shelters into kidding pens which worked really well and then each day we just moved them onto fresh grass, worked really well! Glad you liked the video, good luck with it all!

Awesome video! I think I'm going to make two or three to give my buck kid grow-outs access to more shelter.
I’ve seen where they can put a light in the screw top for babies.
Necessity is the mother of invention. Great idea!
How do you clean them after awhile? Is the design successful overtime? Any design improvement? Thanks.
Nice idea .
Thanks a lot
What changes did you make. Thinking about trying these.
Great video.
