Okay, I've just started watching your videos and they're VERY informative about this game. :( I've actually been trying to get a treasure map through grinding in different locations like Isthmus keep, Steps of Galessa, Shiverland and Melvir sewers, but the problem is no matter how LONG I GRIND or no matter how many monsters I fight I still have no treasure map. Are there ANY SPECIFIC locations, monsters or monster types that could help boost the chance? It's my 4th playthough by the way.
Comment from @HaibaneLain which doesn't show up for some reason: Rather than using New Road for getting your map back, I think Vampire's Den is better. There's a bunch of demons on the first floor (guaranteed, regardless of ecology) and one of them almost always has the map. Compared to other species, demons have a much higher chance of having treasure map available to trade, so the consistency in Vampire's Den is much better.
I wonder if the remaster "fixed" this. I know with the new Treasure Hunter class' bonus you don't NEED as good of a treasure map to enable the best treasure reward table, but still I wanted to try it. But every time I traded the map away, the blue compass marker would disappear, along with the treasure. I even tried using Find Treasure to reveal the actual dig spot before trading the map away, but no luck. Oh well. No easy Shooting Stars or something for the whole team for me. :p
@@FarelTheGiraffe So right now as i type this i am trying to do the glitch. (remaster) It seems to be patched. I have lv 5 Trade with a lv2 TM. My TM is for the new road. Find a monster to trade with is rather really easy to find and i almost always have no issue trading out the TM. However as soon as i do the blue arrow goes away and so does the treasure.
@@Verdandi_P there's another way to get infinite TMs in the remaster basically start a new game+ with Gray cause he always gets one TM as soon as you get control save and use that save for a new game+ repeat till you are satisfied with the TMs you get even though they're all lvl 1s a lvl 5 or 6 Treasure Hunter fixes this you can still get high tier loots (Already got 3 shooting stars 2 farangi and 2 blue saber from this and I'm currently still farming for shooting stars)
@DarqueMinato Hard for me to tell.... I'd be forced to replay the rest of the characters anyways... But wait.... Both Jamil and Gray have a lot of footage to record... but Barbara doesn't. IF... if your recording software isn't that bad, you could perhaps have some material recorded for me? To at least spare me those 40 hours of playing through just for 1 ending cutscene? How does that sound?
As far as I can tell, the chance to get a treasure map are always 1%. I've beaten the game a lot of times and I can say that during a normal playthrough I got from 1 to 3 maps. You really should not see it as something absolutely obligatory to get unless you go for a big ultimate run. Also, thanks for subscribing, I really appreciate it :)
Fun Fact: There was 1 person who insisted that I experiment and proof that certain items do have a less than a 1 in 1000 chance of appearing, and when I said "no", he got mad at me :p

After doing this a couple of times
It stopped working for me
Emmm I don't even know where to start with this, heh. Sorry
@@FarelTheGiraffe At least I was able to get what I want(5 Last Leaf and 5 Pocket Dragon)
I'll just try it again if I feel like it

@DarqueMinato What? So you never pulled it off? ...... WAIT... a LP of Romancing Saga? REALLY???? Your going to do that?
