Some people noted that I fudged up some of the dates when I start talking about the new gen of Constellation members. I just didn't catch it in time but will try and do better next time.

Since you asked about other Sci-Fi series how about Mech Warrior. I recently became aware of how deep the lore is for that series. I remember reading all the lore accessed from the game menu of Mech Warrior 2 in the 1990's while I was in high school.
I have thought about it, but if I do that I will have to reach out to Tex of BPL.

It seems that a mistake was made at the point in the script where you mention Matteo Khatri, and all the dates you mention thereafter jump 200 years ahead into the 26th century, which was confusing, whereas the game's story supposedly begins in 2330.

Constellation is the last group of space explorers out of all mankind, and it only has a few people in it? Maybe it’s an exaggeration because I find that highly unlikely.
I think maybe it means like they are the only group that exclusively explore. And don’t do it for money or personal gain. Only out of curiosity.

I wish they explained more about what happened to Earth. It was one of the first planets I visited and it's just a giant desert planet with no ruins
It's explained in the main quest.
@@TheAstroHistorian like in the beginning? Because all they said so far is something about earth magnetic poles or whatever and everyone had to evacuate. But nothing about why there are no city ruins or landmarks on Earth

So Barrett is over 200 years old?
I was hoping the lore and timeline would somehow weave into fallouts timeline and lore. Like this group of humans left earth before the Great War between China and the United States that ruined the world. Maybe that story line felt too similar to how the clans and inner sphere separated.
I’d love for your lore to branch out into more games in this niche.

I love how the universe of this game ( as well as many tv shows) have humanity going out into the stars, but they take the best, as well as the worst, of them out there.
It shows a much appreciated richness that I see in tv shows like Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica and The Expanse, to name a few.
Star Trek, by contrast, is so one dimensional and flat in how everything in 'the federation' is nigh perfect and incredible machine tending to every issue in the organisation. Loved it as a kid, but grew out of it when so many questions I had about it were just 'hand waved' away.
I had to do a double take...the many similarities between this game and Star Citizen lore is striking, borderline sus.

Wow the stories of Stanfield and SC feel so similar. Obviously Bethesda would be smart enough to make it different but damn does it feel close to home.

It's so great to see actual lore from an actual real game and not a scam that people pray will become a game 1 day.
I love sci-fi, I love the tech, I love the accomplishment, I love seeing the pinnacle of mankind's abilities - however, I hope for the rest of the Universe we extinct ourselves before we achieve interstellar travel.

When we become space-faring. I can bet the gold rush will repeat in space. Even Elon Musk said he expects that to happen. Countries and private investors will want a piece of space rock. I have it pre-installed and waiting patiently.
