    This is an excellent video, my next question is, is there absouletly any way that you can order an entire end cap with the plungers, springs and little filter intact? Ive looked everywhere but to of no avail.

    Thank you much clearer and concise than on other videos that don't show what they mean particularly well or block what they are talking about with their hands.

    Thank you for the concise and clear explanation. I need to do this repair on my TO35 23C diesel tractor and I appreciate such a quick and clear "how-to". Bravo!

      @@de0081 Thanks again. Repair done without any troubles thanks to your clear explanation. Well, at least no troubles with the CAV repair. I also choose the replace the fuel lift pump at the same time as "preventative maintenance" .... and the aftermarket replacement pump was defective out of the box. Old pump reinstalled and working fine!

    Great clear video. My old JCB 3c111 with the Leyland 4/98 engine has started leaking at this gasket, so this will be a great help.

    Thank you! I had a little problem lining up the fuel shut-off lever knob with the sliding plate. Can you make a video on the best way to prime a CAV pump? No one can explain what each bleeder screw should be done first.

      These pumps have two 5/16" hex head bleeder screws. I open both 1/8 to 1/4 turn and pump the diesel lift pump arm until fuel without bubbles comes out of both. Then close the bottom screw and almost fully close the top screw and repeat. If you had air in the system you will probably also need to bleed the fuel lines where they enter the injectors by cranking the engine.

    How much does this cost on average at a shop? Should I just go ahead and get it rebuilt?

    • @de0081
      @de0081  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Just the gasket replacement if you take it to a shop should be less than an hour charge. A whole pump rebuild would probably by over $1000
