I know that the editing tortured you. Excellent job! It’s beautiful! This Gal is SO Happy! Well done and Thank You
@@dianefurlong2911 Awh thank you Diane! I really struggled with copy right so it's unfortunately been chopped down a bunch!!
@@TReacts. you did a great job! I love how you managed to include Henry’s beautiful, gentle hand Thank You! That wasn’t lost on me.
@@dianefurlong2911 I uploaded the video and it got blocked for some reason (not copyright this occasion) so i made a choice to blur that hotel room scene... and the video was fine! It's crazy rules on youtube ahaha
@@TReacts. Good morning/afternoon! It’s still quite beautiful the way you handled it. Thank You
I just might need to watch again this morning
can't believe a movie can be cheesy, funny, steamy, heartbreaking and emotional at the same time! I love it so much
RIGHT! Was suchhhh a journey all the emotions, covered everythinggg ahahah thank you for watching :)
🤣😂💕 Sooo wonderful how this lovely & lovey dovey work of art has brought together so many of us, from all over! Amazing!!🥳
but to answer you question more directly: i've been partnered with my (gay) husband for almost 30 years and have have been embarrassingly smitten by this movie. i've been curious what young gay boys think about this. of course there was nothing like this for me growing up, but you've had much more representation. yet you like this and that makes me feel good. to me, this is universal because Henry is trapped as way too many gay people are. that you relate to this is affirmation that this is universal too even for your generation. Alex is Prince Charming.
We are such a lucky generation! There is change and we are able to express our individuality's which is amazing! Thank you for sharing that, I love hearing people stories! I'm so happy to hear you are at a good place :)
@@TReacts. the struggle continues even for you and your generation. we've done our little part for gay rights when the video of our getting married in 2004 became the face of gay marriage on NBC for years (i can send you the link if you like), but now it's up to you to keep fighting. be out. be proud. never apologize for who you love.
We definitely need more gay romcoms to stop perpetrating the stereotype of being gay=death, trauma, drama. And also because what's hotter than 2 guys making out? Yessss give me more anytime🤭🤭😻😻😻
@@michaelthomas3821I'd love that! Please do share the link! Such wonderful words, thank you :)
@@TReacts. so here's the context. in 2004 the mayor (and now governor of California) of San Francisco decided to give a big fuck you to George Bush, then president. he decided to tell the county clerk to allow gay people to get married staring with the original two founders of the Daughters of Bilitis (a lesbian advocacy group), Del Martin and Phyllis Lyon, who started it in the 50's.
the town was completely abuzz by the next morning and i woke Aric the next morning with my marriage proposal: "you can sleep all day, or get your sorry ass down to city hall to get married". we arrived and it was mayhem with ever few minutes a huge cheer going up when another couple got married. NBC followed us around and we had friends from as far away as Norway and Brazil saw us.. it was struck down, but it was the start of the path to gay marriage in California.

🤣 Glad you liked it! I think a favourite moment for me is the look on Henry's face after he's been promised bad things... it just looks to me like his brain is rebooting
Thank you so much for watching!! Ahahhaha That moment (among many) wiped me out HAHAHAHA Such incredible moments!!
His face is so expressive!! Fantastic actor!! 😘💕😍🥳
The film was made even more fun by counting the shades of red you were turning 🤣❤
AHHHHH stop it from blushing to anger to shivers HAAHAHH too funny thanks so much for watching :)
I loved this sweet romantic film. The two leads had amazing chemistry which made it that much more special. A nice 2 hours of escapism from this crazy world. Thanks for posting!
✌🏻❤️✌🏻
Couldn't agree more! The casting was incredible! They did an amazing job, the hate to love was so believable!! Thanks so much for watching :)
i LOVEEEEE seeing reactions from people who had no clue about what the movie was about because it's the way I watched too and had such a great surprise! going in blind really is the best way to have a good time with a movie!! reactions from book fans or ppl who were spoiled by teasers are so underwhelming
I totally agree!! I love creating these reactions because i go in blind but on this occasion i knew NOTHING ahahah from plot to themes! I guessed it was surrounding a topic amongst the LGBT community due to the mass of requests on my Heartstopper reactions! Loved it so much and thank you for watching and your lovely words :)
@@TReacts.
@@mouiqneAwh thank you for that! I was worried at the beginning that the film would be based off politics completely... but luckily it wasn't HAHAHAH
This is how we want the world, and especially my country, America, to be. Accepting, loving, caring. That's the America I always thought we were supposed to be (I'm 60, btw), but the world that we apparently have to fight for. I love that this couple gets to be together in this universe; it's so sweet.
Couldn't agree more! Such wonderful words! Thank you so very much for watching :)
The irony of Stephen Fry playing the King 😂
I cannot believe it! Too funny! Thank you so much for watching :)
You watched it yessss!! ♥♥♥ Also your face when they first kissed...PRICELESS! 😂
Absolutelyy!! Omg stop ahahahah I WAS SO SHOOK I literally had no idea what this film was about 😭 LOVE IT AHAH! Thank so much for watchinggg :)
This film blew me away. As a straight 63 year old woman i found this so exhilarating.
The love scene in Paris was so tender and made me really cry.
I really related to the two main characters as they tried to navigate thier for each other
Great reaction! My favorite scenes are Nora saying to Alex, "You've been wanting him to dick you down forever" (I wished you had kept this one, it's so good), and Henry saying Alex is a mouthful (people's reactions to this one are always hilarious). I absolutely love this movie so much! ❤
There was sooooo many quotes i wish i could have kept but then the whole film would be here ahahah and unfortunately copyright is a painnn! Thank you sooooo much for watching :)
You were blushing for like 50% of the movie. ❤❤😊
AHAHAHAHA i really was!!! The film was done so beautifully!! Thanks for watching good to hear from you again :)
Love when ppl watch this movie completely blind and get this wholesome feelings for it! 🥰 I highly recommend you to read the book to understand more of their story, there's some differences but lemme tell you that I adore the book and I adore the movie equally!!😍 To me seeing on screen one of my favorites literature couples is a dream come true and Taylor and Nicholas are the most perfect Alex and Henry I could ever ask for!❤️🤍💙 Great reaction!!
Ahahah it was definitely a journey! Completely knocked me off my feet hahaha thank you so much for watching! And yes a few people mentioned the book, very good to know thanksss! and oh yes they made a great couple!!!! Ahahahah
I don't know where did they find these two lead actors, but they did a fantastic job!
The chemistry, intimacy is perfect!
On that scene , they really were making love! It wasn't just a s*e*x. It was the first time that I saw this gay s*e*x scene so beautiful. Most of them are very quick and rushy. And from behind!
It really showed that it was the first time for Alex ,and the first time for Henry with the one he is in love with.
I have red the book last year. I mean... great adaptation from the book.
And, I think that the museum was a sign that he could feel that he could easily and without fear walk among people and be himself. Dance with someone you like without anyone watching or judging you.
The rom-com movie we've been waiting dor so long!
You are soooo right!! Their chemistry was outstanding they really gave an incredible portrayal! Each scene you could feel their connection just from their eyes!!! Thank you soo much for watching and for your thoughts i love hearing them :)
When Alex is first talking with Miguel, Miguel asks Alex to hang out sometime again, when Alex says he’s busy with school Miguel says how charming Alex is and compliments his beautiful eyelashes.
Oh my goodness! I knew it was something like that! The eye contact was far too strong to not be something flirty!! HAHHAAH thank you so much for watching :)
you may not know this, but the homophobic king is Steven Fry who is a world class homosexual
Oh my gosh no wayyyy ahahah thats amazing thanks for that! Hope you enjoyed my reaction :)
@@TReacts. i did. did you like how they sat Zarah down in the wet spot in her shock?
but seriously, i've seen tons of gay content and the "making love" scene is the most realistic depiction of gay sex i've ever seen. most gay sex scenes are complete shit. Henry's gasp when Alex goes inside is so completely realistic.
@@TReacts. Stephen Fry is also the Headmaster in Heartstopper. We only hear his voice though
There are other openly gay actors in the movie such as Thomas Flynn who plays Prince Phillip and Sharon D. Clarke who plays the British PM and Dr. Who fans will recognize her as Grace O'Brien.
Also, I recently found out Alex has been married to a guy named Garret Gerson for almost 8 years now. Someone on the twiteersphere posted a video of Taylor(who plays Alex) and Garrett's pictures together and managed to unearth a video where he introduces himself as Taylor Gerson. It's great to see a young man in such a stable partnership.
Lovely reaction! You’re very cute and funny.
I’m glad you enjoyed this movie and it’s always a joy to watch the reaction of someone going in blind. 😊❤
Awh that is so sweet, thank you for thatttt!! So pleased you enjoyeddd thanks so much for watching with me :)
I watched the movie without having any idea of its plot and I loved it. Now I look forward to reading the book because the characters have faces and it will be even more fun...
It's so fun going in completely unaware! Takes you on such a journey! Ooo hope you enjoy, thank you for watching :)
Omg this was so fun! Thank you so much T Reacts 😊
Awh that is so kind! So glad you enjoyed thanks for watching :)
Alex and Henry’s first real time together in Paris is the highest form of love making. They didn’t have sex they made love, like Henry request: “let’s make love tonight!” Their next meeting at the hotel in Brooklyn they had sex! Their love making scene is a sensually and exquisitely choreographed ballet, it’s award winning! Kudos to the intimacy coordinator and director. Watching, yes, one feels like a voyeur and we feel every move: From Henry’s pressing his left hand and fingers at the small of Alex’s back (giving Alex entry permission) to his final little kiss on Alex’s right shoulder, après sex! Exquisite scene that should be ranked amongst the best sex scene in cinematic history. Your review was as much fun to see as the film. Felt all your emotions! Only downer is the unnecessary and extraneous interjected clips. Could do without them! None the less a wonderfully sweet review and reactions. ❤ Thank you. P.S. The Bi went out the window the minute he made it with Henry, unless he is planning to cheat!
Please don't propagate the stereotype that bisexuals are notorious cheaters or that they're "no longer bisexual" or "picked a side" once they commit to a certain partner. That rhetoric is extremely harmful to the community and we REALLY don't need that energy here.
Hey, no. Bi erasure is bad. A person doesn't renew their orientation credentials by counting sexual encounters. Orientation is who you're attracted to, who you _could_ fall in love with (if you were looking), who turns you on.
@@akinpaws hey! No erasure here! Bi is a way of obfuscating not wanting to be in a committed relationship. You can’t be Bi while sucking a C…K. (In your head you can put any label you want! But you are GAY!) Ditto if its the other sex. If you want a relationship, a partnership, you have to commit! Before I knew my preference I obfuscated by saying I was Bi! In my case that label is no longer valid! The label I claim is GAY. If you don’t want to cheat with a man or a woman you need to decide your preference, if not, you are being dishonest to one or the other, unless, that is your intention! Now! Don’t confuse it with having an orgy or group sex!
@@horacioyrausquin4601 Some people certainly do change which label they claim, as they further explore their own feelings, and as they gain the courage to claim a label that they might be given grief over. You don't consider yourself bi, and you know yourself better than anyone else. Other people exist also, with their own feelings. A person can be bisexual, and fall in love with one person, and be in love with and faithful to that person all their life, and still be bisexual.
@@akinpaws OK! Then forgive me, obviously the meaning of bisexuality has been updated! Your definition I don’t recognize! But hey! What ever makes people believe in themselves is alright with me! Thanks 🙏
If you liked the movie, the book is even better! I highly recommend reading the book or listening to the audiobook. The movie is great on its own merits, but it leaves out so many cool moments from the book. Also, one cool detail that a lot of people seem to miss - toward the beginning of the film, when they're in Alex's room, Henry mentions that he's never had a key to anything. Toward the end of the film, when they exchange mementos, the first key that Henry gets is the key to Alex's childhood home - or, metaphorically, the key to Alex's heart.
The books always are the best!! I will have to look at getting myself a copy!! I did notice that actually it really shocked me as it's something i have never thought about! And the moment he had the key for the gate was soooo sweet! I just unfortunately couldn't put it into my youtube reaction :( Thank you so much for watchinggg!!!
I just finished the book and I agree…I loved the movie but the book really has a lot more to it. I loved it!
@@michellebarry1555 I definitely need to find one then!!
@@TReacts.I highly highly highly recommend trying to get the collectors edition of the book. There is a epilogue chapter that is added that is in Henry's perspective in the collector's edition(the entire book is exclusively in Alex's perspective)... And I think it's an absolutely amazing chapter. Gives you a lot more insight into Henry's motivations... I mean the standard version of the book does that as well(compared to the movie where Henry seems much MORE mysterious and closed off) because we get to know why Henry acts the way he does through Alex's eyes.... But it's different to actually be in Henry's perspective, IMO. So the movie was kind of cool because we did actually get some scenes in Henry's perspective whereas in the book we only get those events through Alex's... In the book we don't know what's happening on Henry side... So it's definitely something that I like about the movie as I do relate to Henry significantly more than Alex... But Henry and I do share an anxiety disorder so I guess that makes sense lol. Just personality-wise I'm much more similar to Henry.
@@AnxietyRatOh wow i didn't know the book was from Alex's perspective! Thanks for that, that's cool to know and about the extra chapter in the special edition! That is definitely a little gem!! Awh that is so cool to hear thank you for sharing that :)
A must add to the list of best rom-coms of all time! Queer or not RW&RB is brilliant.
SO SO TRUE! A brilliant masterpiece of a film! Thanks so much for watching :)
Here ya go again! I step away for 10 minutes and you post this wonderful surprise 💕
Hey Diane! of course I'm back with a surprise ahhaahah glad to see you here :)

Thank you for getting excited like we all have.
Greetings from Argentina! And yes, this roller coaster of emotions reaches all corners of the world!
Awh thank you so much for your lovely comment, all the way from Argentina!!! that is so cool!! It really is incredible!! Thank you so much for watching :)
You said it best, emotions ran wild from anger to happiness while watching this movie. Loved your reactions.❤

I love that you wandered into it open eyed and loved it so much! Same, Teen, Same…Basically your review went: “ Ohhh My God!” 😮 SUBBED! 😂❤
Ahahahaha honestly was so much fun!! Awh thank you so much, so glad you enjoyed :)
Technical point. When you asked why he didn't change for the pictures when they first get together as "friends". Alex says he wants to but is told he looks fine.
I think that is so Henry looks "better" within the media? I don't know just seemed odd that they wouldnt want him dressing up too??
Great editing and great reaction 😁
Ah thank you so much Lucia that means so much :)

@@TReacts.Hi, just finished up. Thanks. Enjoy your weekend
@@TReacts.Hi, you get three guesses and the first two guesses don’t count about what I’m watching this evening 😉
Call me a romantic, but I genuinely love this movie; this along with Heartstopper and Young Royals, helped me come to terms with my bisexuality. I’ve read the book, the collection edition, and I’ve seen the deleted scenes which are amazing and I highly recommend reading and watching as well. I’m so excited for the sequel that’s coming!! Now all we need is a Broadway-West End bound musical. Just saying…
🇺🇸🇬🇧🏳️🌈❤️🤍💙🩷💜💙
well read the book, and watched the movie and I love them so much
Hmmm I’m checked into the hotel. I don’t need to get ready for the reunion for an hour or so. Yep, let’s watch again. Just because! Thanks
AMAZING thanks diane :)
I’m a lesbian and I love Heartstopper, young royals, skam, and this but I wish we had more representation of teen wlw representation, as a wlw teen, we need it but I never fail to end up loving these shows and movies
That is so true!! The representation js growing and improving massively! and showing accurate representation, it's amazing!! Thank you so much for sharing and watching :)
12:30 omg i was scared so much, u need to stop using that vid immediately lmaooo
AHAHAHAHAH IT HAD TO BE DONE!!
considering there is substantial evidence that Richard I, Edward II, Richard II, James I, William III, Anne and Edward VIII were gay or bi.... having the younger brother of the 2nd heir being gay shouldn't be a big deal.... I remember back in the 80s when rumors were swirling that Prince Edward (now Duke of Edinburgh) was gay- the palace did a lot of denials... hopefully things are better today- especially since George gives off some extreme gay vibes....
It really is crazy that they force it to silence! There is no need for it, royalty really is shocking when it comes to this! The film did a great job conveying that! Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts :)
Great review
Thank you very much that is so sweet :)

I really enjoyed your reaction, although the constraints of TH-cam made you edit it so much, I'll have to join your Patrieon. I am interested, however, that you have reacted to Heartstopper but haven't taken a look at Young Royals. YR is much darker than HS but is beautifully written, amazingly acted and at three seasons of six episodes each, not hard to fit it in. It's an extraordinary series and well worth watching.
ooo thank you for the recommendation!! i'll have to check it out!! so glad you enjoyed, although yes it is unfortunate how strict youtube are!! they're getting worse and worse!! ❤️

Nicholas is descended from Russian nobility..a very powerful family in Russian history ....
ooo thanks for sharing that, hope you enjoyed my reaction :)
I quite enjoyed this film and the sweet love story, though I did feel it was unnecessarily rough on the Royal Family it depicted.
Love your reaction ❤
Thank you so much that is sooo kind :)
The writer of the book wrote it in reaction to Trump winning the election in 2016- had to envision a world with a woman President and a happy gay story. The book is very good- but the film is better- it leaves out some confusing points and filler.
ooo thank you for that! and thanks for watching means so much :)
