The deputy rings the bell and the killer woke up. He began screaming "Aaaaaaaaaaaahhh!" The deputy knew the killer was hiding in the belfry and continued ringing the bell. He knew it would summon the Sheriff and the townspeople.
The student told her she noticed it when she arrived. Now she'll never know by erasing it without studying the writing besides it resembles an adult's writing.
@@glendaperkins9231🤔 As my brother would say to me when I asked such questions... There wouldn't be a story otherwise. 🤓 I drove him crazy 🤪 with my questions and this doesn't make sense-tions🤭
It is very simple, you silly people! When she arrived at school that morning, she simply had not looked up at the blackboard until it was time to start teaching the children!!!
Seen this episode a few times. The one thing that always irked me, is how you can clearly see the bell's rim level with the top of the belfry enclosure (8:00) allowing it to swing freely, yet from the inside of the belfry (9:30), it's a half-foot lower, at his eye level, where it would hit him against the wall.
Don't know why, but there's something say's to me, it say's: "sooner or later somebody is going to ring that bell" -and don't you know, that is just what happened.
@@Irunwithscissors63 Pat Hitchcock was probably miscast - but I didn't think she did a bad job. She successfully hid her very British accent, and registered fear pretty well. She studied at RADA, Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, so it wasn't as if she hadn't earned a spot in a little episode or two. She was also in Psycho in a very small role, and in a larger role in Strangers on a Train. Give her a break, she didn't have her looks going for her.
Was trying to focus on the everyday so she wouldn't have to think about what just happened which is why she was accusing the kids when she did see it - don't know why she was back at work so soon
I am glad I am not the only one who knows that Bell would not kill him! I went to a one-room schoolhouse just like the one in the film, with a very similar bell on top, and the worst thing that would happen to a person if he was in the belfry would be a couple bruises to the head!!!
Everybody on here is complaining about how she didn't notice the message on the chalkboard-The bigger question is why did she blame it on the children after the little girl said that it was there when she came in?. Glad that all of you think this was such a great episode but I thought it was the most un Alfred Hitchcock episode I've ever seen, no twist no irony
Got Nepotism? Patricia Hitchcock was on 10 different episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents from 1955 to 1960. That was her entire “television career” . Patricia Alma O’Connor (née Hitchcock) was married from 1952 to1994. She always used her maiden name Hitchcock, so is it nepotism or isn’t it nepotism? She was only in 6 films, 3 of them her father directed. “Stage Fright” 1950 as Chubby Bannister, “Strangers On a Train” 1951 as Barbara Morton and finally “Psycho” 1960 as Caroline. All bit parts. P.S. I don’t know which spelling error was more offensive “I ll”, “Git” or “To”? (I’ll, get and too) I hope she wasn’t his teacher.
Am I the only one who's getting 'Lonely Room' from 'Oklahoma' vibes from this? In regards to Jud Fry, I do feel sorry for him but I didn't want him to win because I could understand why Laurey was scared of him
scootergurl48 There is only one episode of this whole series that is in the public domain. It's copyright infringement to reproduce any episode in full other than what I mentioned above. I researched this on google.
Alfred Hitchcock's daughter, Patricia Hitchcock, played the part as Ellie Marsh.
Oh cool! Thanks i love fun facts

Yes, Patricia was in a few of her father's episodes, and a supporting role in his film "Psycho." Good actress!

RIP Pat Hitchcock. Who I heard has passed away .
OMG!!!!
The Sheriff is played by "Reverend Alden" from the TV show 'Little House on the Prairie'😍😍😍😍
Patricia Hitchcock was in many episodes and was a fine actress
Stalkers since the beginning of time. If I can't have you, nobodu can.
I have had a couple of stalkers!! In the USA, Michigan to be exact!! I'm actually relieved and very happy not to be young and beautiful anymore!!!
I always had to stalk women because they refused to stalk me!!!😅

Edwina Godwin : the rope attached to the bell moved-
He just pulled the rope, he wasn't thinking about the Bell
Duh
Alfred Hitchcock this was a great episode thanks for sharing this episode 👍🇺🇸..
Notice how he was insane until the boy yelled out what he did? He instantly got sane and ran for cover! lol
😂😂😂
He was never criminally insane to start with! He was just insanely jealous!!!
The episode is called 'The Belfry'. Good episode.
it took her that long to notice what he wrote on the chalkboard 🙄
Okay , everyone go to daily motion and enter Alfred Hitchcock Presents to see the entire episode along with the theme song.
Shawn Malone It's not in public domain yet. So better hurry.
I worked in a church bell tower in new jersey a lot of birds and poop this guy's bell tower had not one drop of bird poop
Can’t believe she didn’t notice when she came in
Why didn't the teacher notice the message on the chalkboard when she walked in the classroom?

As Scotty Kilmer would say, "Ring that bell!"

If the bell didn't hit him, it would certainly deafen him.

Ms. Marsh got me upset blaming one of the children for writing that message on the board, they seem to care about her and had no reason for slander .
Plus she should recognize that the handwriting wasn’t any of her students’s handwriting

Right , so there is a psychopath on the loose and she is holding class with noone to protect or guard her or the children ?
She believes he won't show his face anymore. Then again she didn't expect to faint after her fiancee was killed in broad daylight.

I see actor Dabbs Greer, and I know the name of the presumed killer ( that actor reminded me of Bob Denver in some way), but I forgot it.
Greer played the older version of Paul Edgecomb, Tom Hanks' character in "The Green Mile."
