Beautiful video, Mike. The sad song, throwback vids and images incorporated into it and forlorn footage of this once great mall are just perfect. The photo of the atrium where the artificial trees and flags are brought so many memories back for me. Back in 1995-6 there used to be a Sam Goody's right next to that sunny atrium. I would spend time there after undergraduate classes at JSU picking up the latest CDs up from there. I also remember the movie theater at the rear of the mall - by the JR Lynch street extension road - which was torn down in the early 2000's if I remember correctly. I remember taking this girl I liked on a date there to catch a movie together. Priceless memories of my college years. Ruby Tuesdays Friday nights dates too. Sbarro pizzas at the food court. Barnes and Noble downstairs, right after you got off the escalator. Very sad to see this place in this sorry state, decaying with all our priceless memories. Thanks again for this.
I grew up coming to that mall in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. I watched the decline when anchor stores and restaurants left. Good memories man but Jackson as a city is on life support running on a backup generator that’s almost out of gas. Damn this video sad

@@MannyPhoenixi would love for someone to somehow be able to get inside
@@rockyrover173 In 2002, was this shopping center still in operation? Wasn't it already abandoned at that time?
