    As a participant in these videos and playing with Controlled Pairs pretty frequently, the reason for using the light so much was because when these were filmed (December 21 and March 22), night vision in Ready or Not was ass. You saw that clip with the green phos, and it looks like dogshit lol. So we defaulted to using white light primarily. After the most recent update, NVG's are much more usable.

It's great to hear input from people like this for all those tactical geeks and nerds who play tactical games like Ready or Not more seriously. People always laugh at us for being way too serious but after joining military I realized how the tactical "dry drilling" in these games made me more efficient and quicker in learning these skills IRL.

    • @Likosak
      @Likosak 2 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      @@dl30wpb It's not about being badass. It's about education, knowledge and potential usefulness of these skills gathered through these tactical games. Look at Ukraine. I know it's hard to imagine for people in US being invaded but for European people this his harsh reality. People - usually civilians without military training are craving for some basic tactical, weapon handling and EOR education for defense purposes. People undergo 2 week long or a month long courses in other countries just to get back to their country to protect it. How much easier it would be for people to grasp all the concepts and basic rules of combat if they already come with some dry drilling from these games? Isn't it kinda benefitial even for defense purposes of the country? Try think about this way.

    Some of the actual former Military gamers who play these "realistic sims" are pretty fun to watch. Especially the "no-comm's" videos where they use nothing but in game hand gestures and flashing a laser at a doorway they want to breach and such. Idk how realistic it all is, but it shows what a team who trains together can do in game, and Im sure that's only a touch of what a trained team can do IRL. Cool video. I personally love Justinred87, Karmakut, and Controlled Pairs for their tactical milsim stuff.
    Some things are unfortunately limited to the reality of gameplay. Like shining lights under a door to check for booby traps and such. As well as fluid movement in a stack through a doorway. Upon further review, this sounds like at least some parts of this were taken from Controlled Pairs. Which is amazing.
    Sorry for making this such a long comment, but this game does actually have a feature where if the enemy see your lights flooding under doorways or through gaps, they will start shooting you sometimes. They can also spot you through gaps in wooden fencing or placers where there are cracks/holes in the wall and start unloading and killing you through the walls.

    We've seen, Marines, Army SF, Navy Seals, what about an Air force JTAC/TACP reacting to in-game radio etiquette when they call in air strikes and stuff? That would be interesting to see.

    Following a former Navy Seal instructions from another TH-cam video. While playing Tom Clancy's the Division 2 Season 11 Reign of Fire by myself (without a team). I know you need one.....but I couldn't get a team. So did this one alone using distraction to take out (believe it or not) his whole team & Charles "Chunks" Crawford a former Navy Seal on challenging. I use a tact shield & a Drone to take them out moving fro cover to cover. Some I would a frag grenade or drone as distraction to take his teammates out & kill him with very little damage to me.
