Thak you for the reaction!! I really recommend you to watch their dance practise they are so good dancers (vocalist and rappers). Its true that they dont look like rookies but i think its bc they have been training for long time and they are from SM! 💚
Before their debut they made their first appearance as a part of NCT opening for the NCT Nation tour in Japan so since they hadn't debuted yet or settled on a name they used "New Team". The show to create them was more of a watch SM do their inner testing they do, than necessarily a competition show, if you compare it to other shows. But it was nice to see them get so much advice from all of their legendary senior artists and their future NCT group members. Like WayV they will tend to have releases in Japanese then maybe a Korean or English version so you reacted to the Korean version of Wish. There is a slight difference in JP/KR vr MV's. Korean music shows aren't as accepting usually of songs in Chinese or Japanese so to promote on the shows they release English or Korean versions in addition to the versions they are promoting in China/Japan.
Yushi is the best visual I've ever seen so far in 5th generation ❤ his beauty is ethereal. Sion and Riku are right behind him.
Maybe you already know but they're making a comeback with a single album on 27th June.
The same case with the albums - they'll be released on different days for Japanese and Korean/global market.
The main goal of NCT WISH is Japan but they are going to promote in Korea too. The group had a predebut tour in October in Japan, now they are on a fancon tour in Korea.
Interesting fact. They work with BoA as their producer. She's behind the song "Wish" and also the upcoming track "Songbird".
I'm so so happy their concept fits them really well - young, charming and cute.

Fun fact. One of the members has trained only for 3 months before joins the survival show and debuted with WISH after that. He is the Korean member Jaehee and bet my words - few years later he'll be on Taeil' and Doyoung's vocal level. He's one of the best vocals in 5th gen and the best part is that he's improving very, very fast, kinda geniusly to be honest. He haven't taken any vocal or dance lessons till the early 2023 but see where is he now.

Being an Nct fan from 2016 n SHINee fan from 2008...i m use to seeing young talented SM artists...SHINee started as a teenaged grp, so did Dream n Wish debut age is d same as 127 members when they debut. What i m more amazed by is SM seem to get all d super talented kids in their company...great vocalist rappers dancers n all great looking!💚👍
Wish is their debut song the reason it came out at a later date is that they are NCT's Japanese Unit so the version that came out first was the Japanese version and you watched the Korean version that came out later which is fine though cause their really isn't that much of a difference in the MV's

Just a small correction.
NCT WISH debuted live on SMTOWN Tokyo on 21st February 2024, at that big grandeur concert and they were so so good.
The mv - both versions, were out simultaneously on 28th February, alongside the physical single albim FOR Japanese market (in Japan).
The physical version was released globally and for Korean market on 4TH March.

NCT Wish's debut is so cute ❤ the cupid concept really suits them. It's been a long time since a boy group have genuine cute vibes to them. I've been following them since their pre-debut days and was so happy that Sion and Yushi were confirmed members. Although out of the other trainees I did wish that Anderson would debut but at last it wasn't his time. Jungmin also was an official member but he had to back off at the end moment of shooting their mv cause of his health, hence we were left with 6 members instead of 7.

😊 Yay, the baby Neo's! I highly recommend watching the Japanese version of Wish mv at some point since they are a Japanese unit, but also because the video has different scenes/perspectives.
For context, czennie (nickname for NCTzens used by the Neo's) has previously been depicted as a redhead for some reason (see 127's Firetruck and Dream's We Young)... personally I interpret the end of Wish (Korean ver) as Sakuya jumping in front of the cupids bullet because he wants all of czennie's love. In the Japanese ver, czennie saves Sakuya after he falls from the sky into the lake, which is when he falls in love with her and low key starts sabotaging the groups efforts to help her find love.
(Sion is pronounced more like She on... 😉)
