As a owner of the MOP dialed U 50 which I have for a year now I can say, the u50 is not only available with a black dial. Also it's called "tegimented" not "teglemented".
Great video. I’ve been a watch enthusiast for many years, and while intrigued by the U1, I never could pull the trigger. When the U50 came out I was in. Bought it on bracelet but I can’t get the sizing right so I’d really like to try the silicone/deployant combo - if I could find one. Dealers in my area never seem to have it, the adjustable T version. Looks like it drapes nicely on your wrist which is the same size as mine.
Thanks Mojosdad68 the new adjustable clasp for the silicone strap really helps when it comes to comfort but on this which I prefer the butterfly clasp as I feel it suits a 41mm watch more plus also it has micro adjustment
I just sold my U1. Now trying to decide between the UX or u50 i love my 104. I’m a machinist so I’m leaning UX. The U1 was just to tall. I also didn’t like how high the lugs sat. Can you do a video directly comparing the U1 and UX?
Another great review. As I said on another of your vids, I have two U1s. I must be one of the rare U1 owners who actually LOVE its bezel action!! I'm not kidding. It is "precise" in the sense that you can always stop it exactly where you want to. I don't give a whit about backplay. It is very easy and quick to turn, and yet it would never turn by itself. Although I don't dive, I think if I did, the U1's easy-to-turn bezel would be preferred underwater. Since getting the U1, I find that I like my bezels just as I like my women - fast and loose! LOL Kidding. If I ever sell one of my U1s, perhaps I'll look into getting a U50. Might be nice to have one of each. Although for a number of reasons, I've largely gotten away from the watch hobby. I have a large collection, but have moved away from the watch buying aspect of it. Now, any disposable money I have is normally put into motorcycles, knives, & occasionally guns. (knives are much cheaper than watches - that's kind of nice!!) Recently picked up a Spyderco Para 3 (two, actually) that I like very much. But I digress..
"I like my women - fast and loose!" that got me laughing mate , As for knifes I don't really have any myself but I do study knife and stick fighting (JKD Kali) and love sharpening my kitchen ones until the can cut paper without any problems
@@ClickSpringReview never thought about that mate great idea!! Have you any videos or tips on correctly sizing the silicone strap. I also mentioned to Ryan that the reason I became interested in the Sinn brand and himself was because of you're fantastic channel. Keep the great videos and reviews coming
@@MrLoughneagh Thank you Sir thats really nice of you to say I just did a video a few days ago on how to cut the silicone strap but for the butterfly clasp but its the same thing th-cam.com/video/PsJsaXy-Gm4/w-d-xo.html
Great video. Really making easier to choose the right Sinn. Thank you for that! However I still do have the doubt: how does the bezel compares to "the great one", the UX?
Difference is - U1 has locking ring with 6 spring pins, meanwhile U50 and UX has locking ring with 12 spring pins. U50 and UX are different dimetr so it may feel different, but system is the same. IMHO they could use same 12 pin locking ring for U1 if they wanted, but for some reason they wont. When U1 came first, they had similiar system as Damasko using today with springs nd pins, but it was changed later for more simple one, they using today.
Francis & Gaye have them in stock , The U50 I believe is available with a 10% discount at the min and they can post to Scotland no problem , Just give Ryan a can and say I told you to call him Sir
So since the bezel action in the u50 has become much better and more precise and tight than that in the u1 , so that means that finally sinn has admitted that the bezel action in the u1 was not good enough and needs improvement, as sinn watchmakers keep saying to customers that they made the bezel of u1 that way in purpose to allow the sand and debris to come out from the bezel , which seems that it was a bla bla piece of shit talking , as they have improved the bezel action in the u50 with more solid , tight bezel action with much much less back play .. I tried four u1's to try to find one with solid , tight bezel action with minimal back play and spongy feel ..

Sorry Dillon I don't have the U1 now but the UX is a bit slimmer than the U1 and lighter

Good morning,
Just been in touch with Ryan, now just need to decide between the u50 sdr or non sdr!!!! Any opinions appreciated
Excellent Sir to be fair I prefer the non SDR but you can always buy the SDR bezel after and fit it yourself

The bezel is tighter than the UX and feels much better then both the U1 and U2 but I still think the UX is King

I think the U1 looks better on your wrist. Both are amazing.
The U1 is cool but for comfort the U50 is hard to beat Jorge
i need to go in and try these on wrist
When you do let me know what you think
Are they available in Scotland.

Would like to see the EZM9 on bracelet……
Think I need to get a EZM9 in at some point

The U1 has been around for 18 years now and U50 just shows that improvements can be made
