My parents played his shows as a kid and Im just now coming back around to them again. Why am I crying over all his jokes. I adore his take on God. Breaks up the fear I have in everyday life and replaces it with a little giggle in my heart.

    • @suziequzie1961
      @suziequzie1961 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Thomas Vincent, going from Baptist to Pentecostal is NOT changing RELIGIONS, they are both Christianity, it's merely changing denominations. Changing religions would be like if they went from Christianity to Buddhism, or Mormonism, or Jehovah's Witness. Not the same thing at all.

    • @thomasvincent9027
      @thomasvincent9027 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@suziequzie1961 I know that Susanne Fluker, but you have got to remember that a lot of people who say they are Christian think that if you are Christian and went to Baptist church and then changed to Pentecost that they changed religion.

I get it! I’m gonna live through COVID-19. I’ve lived through cancer and a lotta other stuff. I ought to have a better attitude about the mess we’re in. I don’t want to look out from the coffin and say that I would have had a better time if I’d know I was going to live through it. HE gave me a now life so I need a new attitude and stop worrying and complaining about the mess we’re in.

Tell yourself this: My God is far tougher and far rougher than the toughest and roughest of challenges and disasters on earth and the universe COMBINED! OUR GOD IS SO GREAT SO STRONG AND SO MIGHTY...THERE’S NOTHING TOO TOUGH OR TOO DIFFICULT FOR OUR GOD!! I also encourage you to remember this: “To live is Christ and to die is gain”! Having been born and raised for 17 and a half years in Mountain View, Georgia DIRECTLY across the expressway from Hartsville International Airport, with those commercial airplanes going & coming from that airport 24/7/365 and 3 blocks behind our house was railroad tracks mostly for freight trains, even those who would stop at the old FORD Automobile Plant 24/7/365, tornadoes do NOT sound like a “freight train”. In the 1974 Super Tornado Outbreak, a tornado went over our house in the wee hours of the morning while we were in the hallway with pillows to cover our heads(ALL 9 of us, 7 kids & both parents), that tornado, and the other tornadoes since before & after I was married, tornadoes sound as if thousands and thousands of those airplanes are going over at the SAME TIME and the sound of a “wailing woman” with them.

I’ve lived in Kansas Texas and Oklahoma. We had 16 tornadoes the other day! I’ve been real close to two going through my town and I thought it sounded more like a long extended explosion! I’ve tried to leave tornado Alley but in ‘84 there was a tornado in Hawaii while we were visiting my grandparents! And in the mid '90’s there was one in downtown Salt Lake City when I was living over there! I moved back to tornado alley cuz at least we’ve got underground shelters here. ( not really why I moved back but that is a plus )

We live near railroad tracks but trains usually pass through overnight...especially, the long freight trains.
We got so used to trains that we hardly hear it these days.
Nevertheless, depending on the train size, we can often feel slight vibrations in our top floor as trains pass by.
The first and only earthquake we ever experienced happened around 10 in the morning.
My husband was at work. I was playing with our kiddo.
I stopped to collect some clean laundry from the dryer and told him I had to take it “to mommy’s bedroom”.
It was a beautiful, super quiet sunny day...It wasn’t until afterwards that I recalled how quiet it was just before the “big train” noise...
I saw and heard no wind and the birds must’ve known about it, because I saw no birds and heard zero bird chirping that morning, which is completely unusual for this area.
When I first heard the noise, I looked outside from our bedroom window and said to myself
“Wow...this is one late train!” 😳🤣🤣🤣
Next thing I know, I thought we were having a case of “Poltergeist” and I was going to be swallowed by our TV...which was shaking along with the heavy armoire right behind me.
    I know, I know...you must be thinking “Poltergeist?? You’re a Christian...”
Okay, just give me a break, will you? That was my first and only experience through an earthquake.
I just pray to God it’ll remain the first AND the LAST!! 😰
    Anyhow...
I screamed then, as I yelled his name several times, I ran as fast as I could to grab our then 4 y/o son.
He must’ve been puzzled by the noise yet he didn’t appear one bit afraid of all the shaking and trembling happening around us.
When super frightened, frantic momma here got to him, he said
    “It wasn’t me, mom!” 😂😂🤔🤔
There was no time to concern myself with whatever naugthy thing he migth’ve been up to... LOL 😂
I just grabbed him and ran outside.
The tremors must’ve lasted something like less than a minute but it certainly felt more like a half hour to me!
Not at all funny at the time...but looking back at our clueless reactions, it’s pretty hilarious. LOL 😂
    I love Mark Lowry.
He always brightens up my day...not just through his God given humor but most importantly, through his reminders of Whom our God is and what He’s all about! ❤️

Having lived in Mountain View, Georgia DIRECTLY across the expressway from Hartsville International Airport, with airplanes CONSTANTLY flying OVER our house 24/7 365 days a year, for 17 and a half years, BEFORE we were bought out, when there was a Tornado going over our house in the wee hours of the morning, I thought, at first, that thousands of thousands of airplanes were, for some reason, flying right over the house at the SAME TIME. Two streets BEHIND our house were the railroad tracks that freight trains used, INCLUDING the trains for the FORD AUTOMOBILE PLANT in Hapeville, Georgia. Use to the airplanes coming AND going from Hartsville International Airport, AND the freight trains every day AND night, I can HONESTLY say that all of the Tornadoes we have been in do NOT sound anything close to the popular thing to say for years now “it sounded like a freight train”. wado,Ann Benson.

My first time in Illinois, in July, they told me if a tornado came it sounded like a freight train and I’d have plenty of warning. So in the middle of the night, I heard it coming. I got up and went out on the porch to see if I could see it. I stood there wondering if I should wake everyone up. About the time I thought I should probably go get everyone up and into the basement, I heard "woo woo".
    I went back to bed.

Believers in religion teach us that God will reward men for good actions, but men who are intellectually free, know that the reward of a good action cannot be given by any power, but that it is the natural result of the good action.
The free man, guided by intelligence, knows that his reward is in the nature of things, and not in the caprice even of the Infinite. He is not a good and faithful servant, he is an intelligent free man.

And for example an egg,, it is consits of yellow's egg, white's egg & the shell but the egg is so easy to broken + it's smells so stingky as time goes by 🙏🙏°🙏🙏

I am appalled at “Christian” people for enabling this man. Eph. 5:4 says “neither filthiness nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.” Laughter in itself is not wrong, but for a man to joke and jest in front of large crowds to force laughter from people in form of jesting is NOT convenient. He appears to be a proud, exalted individual because I know this from experience that “getting laughs” from others feeds a pride inside me. I believe what Paul is instructing here is that a freed heart, free from the chains of sin and self, will be joyful and that person will laugh easily, maybe at some antics from their pet, maybe from some humorous incident at work, maybe just laugh because we’re so free and happy. Nothing wrong with that. But we should NEVER laugh at the expense of someone else, or with someone taking cheap shots at others. And we shouldn’t enable someone to stand in front of us making fun, clean as it may seem to be, jesting, joking, etc. if anyone who says that with everything going on these days, we need to hear jokes to take our mind off of everything, just remember 9/11. The late night comics even shut down telling jokes. It was a serious, somber time in which people prayed who never had prayed. We need to be joyful, free, happy, always looking for the happiness of others, be merry, have a merry countenance but not speaking to exalt or draw attention to ourselves.
