- We came all the way from Southern California to visit Covington, GA to see where they filmed The Vampire Diaries! We did our own self-guided tour of "Mystic Falls" and we had the luxury of staying at the Old Lockwood Mansion! Covington is known as the "Hollywood of the South" and is home to many other Tv Shows & Movies such as, Sweet Home Alabama, Footloose, Rob Zombie's Halloween and much more!

This is too funny! I stayed here the same week you guys did with my boyfriend in the Salvatore suite for my 21st!! You can see us at 16:11 😂. I was the girl at breakfast at the corner table that was talking about seeing the Salvatore boarding school idk if you remember me haha but I hope you guys had fun as much as I did and I’m glad you got to see the Salvatore suite I believe that was the day we left haha. Awesome video!!
Omg too funny! We do remember you guys! We actually wanted to ask you guys if it would be okay to take a look inside of the suite but we felt that was a little to ballsy 😂 Right before we left I realized the room was vacant so I took my opportunity hahahah. I hope you guys enjoyed your time there. We ran out of time and didn’t get to see the boarding school or the NOLA area. Guess that means we’ll have to go back eventually 😊
You should have! we would’ve say yes! 🥰 Somebody else asked us as well and we let them haha but I’m sorry you didn’t get to see the boarding school we actually didn’t get to see conyers (NOLA) either so we have to make another trip one day also 😂

I'm sad they removed it from Netflix so I can't re-watch the series lol. I hope you get the chance to visit sometime. The whole town is super cute and just really neat to see everything that was in the show.

Hey I went with my aunt and stayed in the hotel went to the grill got a blood bag and seen the Lockwood mansion and Caroline‘s house and Alayna‘s house but I wasn’t able to see Stefan and Damon’s house Had so much fun though hope you do too
I’m so glad you had fun! The home they used for Stefan and Damon was unfortunately torn down in 2015 :( But you can visit the “Salvatore Boarding School” that’s used in the spin off legacies! I believe it’s in Loganville.

We are definitely grateful we had the opportunity to visit! This was a 5 hour flight from us haha I wish we were closer still because we want to go back. Germany is on our bucket list! We would love to go during October :)

it's not the lockwood mansion, it's the house where the salvatore brothers lived during 1864 :) The lockwood mansion is private
Hi there! I’m sorry but it’s actually not the Salvatore home, this IS the 1864 Lockwood mansion. The Lockwood mansion in present day, aka Tyler Lockwood’s home, is private. You can see it through the gate but the only way to see it up front / be on property is if you book through the vampire stalkers tour. We got this information from the hotel employees :) I’ve put screen recordings / screen shots in our vlog that shows it’s the 1864 Lockwood mansion from the show.

Don't quote me on that but I think the outfit that you not too sure about with the leather jacket was Anna on the season 1 finale episode when the Founders Day celebration had the Gilbert device went off.....BTW Caroline Forbes do have a dad he is gay who was mentioned throughout the season but join the show in season 4.
I mention later she has a dad but he just wasn’t in the show very much.

We went on a Tuesday night so there was no wait at all! Even for lunch on a Wednesday it didn’t look packed. Not 100% sure what it’s like on weekends, I’ve seen from other peoples blogs that it can get busy. Probably just depends. Best of luck and have fun! :)

I know.. I'm still shocked by it too lol. Most people think that she is my sister. & OMG it felt like a dream walking around Covington. Definitely surreal seeing it all in person. It almost felt nostalgic getting to go to all the places that are in the show lol
were you allowed to explore the Salvatore mansion and can you also stay there?
The original Salvatore Mansion was sadly demolished in 2015. You can however visit the Salvatore Boarding School / House that is used in the show Legacies. I believe it’s a private residence so you can’t go inside but you can go up to the gate and take pictures in front of it. The gate has an S for Salvatore and a sign that says Salvatore Boarding School. We unfortunately did not get to visit since we ran out of time. But I left the address for this place in my description under the video! :)
You can stay in Caroline’s house, it’s an Airbnb & we stayed at the 1864 Lockwood Mansion. You unfortunately can’t tour inside of it unless you are staying there. (Which we did). I hope that helps!
was the Salvatore brothers study in the Salvatore house?
The Salvatore study that I filmed is a Bedroom inside of the Twelve Oaks Bed & Breakfast. AKA the 1864 Lockwood Mansion used in the show as well. The Bedroom was inspired by the Salvatore Study. I did make a hiccup when talking on the video but I put texts on the video clarifying that the room was only inspired by the Study. Unfortunately the real Salvatore Home was demolished in 2015.

We went there for my sister's birthday in December but it was raining on February 18th we went back into the tour I really want to take my fourteen-year-old cousin
We went in December too! We really want to go back to that we can do the tour 🥺 We love learning fun facts & there’s still some things we didn’t get to see. I hope you get to take your cousin soon, I bet they will love it.

I hope you get the chance to go! Plane tickets into Atlanta are usually not that bad! Use google flights to keep checking for cheap flights 🥰 and use the turo app for cheap but nice quality car rentals!

How much does it cost u living in Lockwood mansion
We don’t live there so we’re not too sure, but it would be awesome to live in that mansion lol. I’m curious to know how much it costs to live there as well!
Most of the people around covington do not mind if you take pictures of the houses from the sidewalk, just be respectful, stay off the property, and if the homeowners family or kids are outside come back later to take your pictures
We did all of the above. We were quiet and respectful. When the owners of Elena’s home asked if we could be further away, we complied. However, we’ve seen multiple pictures of people standing / sitting on Elena’s porch, we never went on the porch but that’s why we thought it would be okay to be in front of the home. We respected the home homeowners when they asked us to politely be on the side walk.
@@Haunt-N-GoSeekGreat video!!!! In order to take the pics near Elena's porch, you'll have to take the Vampire Stalkers tour. We got close to a lot of TVD locations, including going on the property of the Lockwood mansion with the tour. The family in the Elena's house has little kids. I think a boy and girl twins and they play outside so the family is strict on ppl on their property if they're not with the tour company. How were you able to use music from TVD without getting copyrighted?
I’d like to say Covington is not considered safe to us locals lol so if you’re gonna walk at night BE VERY CAUTIOUS.
That's interesting.. not once did we feel unsafe and the town was very dead in general. However, our walk from the hotel (Lockwood mansion) to the Mystic Grill was a very short / quick walk. We however did not feel safe in downtown Atlanta lol.

Hi there! I watched all of the seasons and loved the show! I can call myself a fan but acknowledge that I’m not an “expert” nor did I re-watch the seasons over and over.. i never claimed to know every detail of the show - especially since there’s so many seasons, it kinda is hard to remember every single thing. You can still be fan of something & have trouble remembering things :) Good for you for knowing the outfits, that’s a great memory you have there!

as i've explained before.. you can love a show but not be so obsessed that you remember every single detail about it. I watched all of the seasons & truly enjoyed watching it - I do consider it to be one of my favorites. But just because I couldn't remember some details / facts does NOT mean i "didn't watch the series". This show also ended over 5 years ago.

Are you talking about my mom? She never watched the show and said that lol. It’s me (Taylor) who’s the fan of TVD! However, I admit that I didn’t watch much of the Originals. So I did not know some of that stuff. But as I’ve explained before, you can watch and enjoy a show, be a fan, but not remember every single detail about it.
This other lady needs to understand that TVD is not shallow Twilight, she nees to watch it.
The other lady is my mom whom is 46 lol. She’s not always going to be totally into the same things as a teenager was or young 20 year old 🤷🏼♀️ But hey props to her for still having fun and enjoying the trip never having seen much of the show!
@@Haunt-N-GoSeek I am older than her, and TVD is not for teenagers, that is why they don't understand it. It's very complex and psycolgical. Twilight is for teenager, TVDis for well educate adults, into psycology.
