    Had to do this today. Thank you. Also EVERY connection on the bumper had water in them. I put dielectric grease on them after cleaning and drying them. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

    Thanks for making the video and sharing the cost of what the dealer charges and the prices you paid. Helps give a ball park for what to look for and how much we'll save!

      I got the new active grill shutters and it's still not working. I noticed there was no voltage at the connector.

      @@TWDIYWhen are these activated and are they wide open at over 20 mph?

      @@TWDIYI'm not sure why people are lining up to replace this when it's slamming off the air to the radiator making it run hotter. I have the '18 and am going to remove it and dremmel shave the wing slats off so it can still rotate avoiding the check engine light so the lower radiator gets full air 100% of the time👌

    I have the '18 Pacifica and took all my slats out just leaving the motorized one so I dont get a light..You should have done this, runs cooler now...Emissions or not no radiator should be purposely closed👍👍

    Great video!!! Any chance it was just the wiring that needed to be change due to corrosion?

      I would definitely try that first but who wants to take this thing apart twice? No thanks, lol

    • @TWDIY
      @TWDIY  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very possible, but that was what the dealership told me was wrong so I changed it all. Honestly, once you pull the front end off once, to pull it off again wouldn’t be hard or take that long.

      Thanks so much for the video, very thorough. Looks like it makes sense to just order and replace both parts while it's apart. How much time did you put aside for this?

      I'm not sure what you're asking.

    • @JimmyAnwar
      @JimmyAnwar 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It depends on the part number of your active grill shutters. If it is made for a 2017 then it's good but anything after 2018 then a new connector is needed which is wired differently.

    Hey I’m sure you had the CEL which is my case I have the same code on my 18 Pacifica and every time I try remote starting it it shuts off immediately but I came across your video and wanted to ask you that before anything

    • @TWDIY

      Hi there. I had issues getting the code from my scanner so I took it to a dealership to get the diagnostic test. They told me what was wrong, and I chose to fix it myself. I haven’t had any issues with the remote start.

    • @herrwabbaloo937
      @herrwabbaloo937 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So you're saying that your problem with the remote start, which I am having right now as well, has to do with the AGS?

    • @JimmyAnwar
      @JimmyAnwar 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Same here 2018 Pacifica my remote start wouldn't work because the check engine light was on.
      Checked code and it was related to Active Grill Shutters.

    • @Daybit76
      @Daybit76 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Guys, same problem here, it remotely starts but after 5s-ish it stops itself.
      Several months after getting the engine light and reading with my ODB scanner that it was the AGS, my starter and the two batteries died. Anybody else had the same issue?

    Can you access the connector without pulling off the whole front clip? Or would it just be best to pull the front clip to save time and energy?

    • @JimmyAnwar
      @JimmyAnwar 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can remove the bottom splash guard that is attached to the bumper. Then you are able to access the connector.

  • @loaderseven7283

    I have the same code, do you think I might just need to replace the connector, and leave the AGS alone? Seem like its just the connector's issue

    • @TWDIY
      @TWDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hard to say for me. I got my diagnosis from the dealership. You could pull the plug and see if there is corrosion and make an educated guess. I kind of felt the same way about mine, but the dealership said it was bad so I changed it. Best of luck to you. Let me know if you just change the connector. I'm curious of the outcome.

    • @TWDIY

      I can’t say if your wires are different colors. I’m assuming yours is a different year? Possibly google a wiring diagram for your year model. I would also assume if you order for your year it should match what you have. Sorry I can’t help.

    You didn’t pay them $200 to scan your car😂 you paid them to tell you what was wrong with your car. Codes are just clues 99% of the time. Also because you bought your part from eBay. I can confidently say with 100% certainty that you did NOT get a genuine OEM part. Maybe a genuine mopar box. But nothing more then that.

    • @TWDIY
      @TWDIY  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you go to Ebay and type OEM into the search bar, this will be how many Fake OEM parts are listed on Ebay................... 39,000,000+ results for OEM. Thank you for your comment, you made me laugh!!! There's always one in the crowd.

    • @jonsaircond8520
      @jonsaircond8520 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well you laugh but there are crazy amounts of fake parts on the bay. While it is possible to get something genuine your chances of fake are better. O got some genuine OEM Toyota fake parts off there that was indistinguishable from real based off markings and packaging. I will say a part like this may not be worth it but the Toyota parts I got were very very popular on a engine millions were made

    • @TWDIY
      @TWDIY  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would say research the seller if you have questions if they are selling authentic parts. The seller of the harness I bought was a Chrysler, Jeep, dodge dealership, so I feel pretty confident my parts weren’t fake.
