I am celebrating passover on this tuesday, believing evening starts the first day of unleavened bread, which would be sabbath. And i agree with everything, wednesday crucifixion and all. But after seeing the confusion of the calendar, the next time such circumstances come up, i think i will celebrate passover twice in years like this. I don't think there is a problem biblically in doing such a thing to be sure. But where i am, it did seem springlike in march. And i do wonder, due to Josephus writing about passover being in aries, if we are suppose to make sure to calculate passover to land in aries. Currently, i was just calculating the start of the first moon after the equinox to be the the month of nisan/aviv. But because of the way everything appeared to be, march this year seemed very springlike. And winter felt like it was pretty much over by the end of February, and i live in Indiana. And there were barely crops available in israel by what would be the 14th of the last moon. Just a thought. I don't know if anyone out there might have more knowledge to make a more certain decision. But after this year, i think i may just celebrate it twice in years like this. But as of right now, i am still leaning towards just starting the month of aviv after the equinox as being correct.
The more I study the calendar, the less precise it seems to me to be honest. But I don't see any record of Christ and the Jewish leaders differing on the calendar (or when days begin). Fungame77 just posted this on twitter which I think is true: "You don't have to look for "new" calendars in order to obey God. God's church has been keeping the correct days for 2000 years.
