Whenever I fly to London (from Oslo) I always visit your store and I was lucky enough to try these end of April. These were so yummy! I had bought some for my friends as well and they loved them too - needless to say I was REALLY pleased when you announced you were going to make these on the channel! THANK YOU!!
@@ulasonal I've done the research that shows it's Greek, turkey adopted it when they ruled Greece for a while and they did with a lot of other dishes. Baklava's origins are Greek and always will be. You could probably add filo in by getting some pre-made filo pastry, cutting it up into squares, baking that in the oven, and putting it on the top of the cupcake like a wafer almost. Might help catch all the errant pistachios as well

Went to the shop this afternoon, wow had one of these the lightest butter cream I’ve ever tasted, it was amazing! Bought the book as well, baking weekend here I come🍰🍰
These look so delicious!😍 I think they will also taste really good with a hint of orange blossom water😋 to give it more of that baklava taste Thanks for the recipe💗💗

Looks so good! However my family are not really fans of pistachio so I'm thinking of substituting almond butter and toasted sliced almond on top. Also I think I will take the easy (lazy) route and use dulce de leche and mix in a good strong honey . I will make the swiss buttercream and add a little almond butter, sadly though I won't get the lovely green, I loved the suggestion of a little orange blossom and I think it would work well with the almond flavor. Hi Jemma. This is Gaby from Austria. Had been in London for one week and of course i visited C&D. I was very sorry that i could not meet you, but I left London on friday. C&D is very small, but full of delicious sweets. I enjoyed it very much.
I love pistacios but wondering if you have done this with walnuts - that is the way I have always seen it. Maybe it is a $$ thing. I guess I could try and swap in the walnuts and adjust other ingedrients to be consistent to see for myself.
Maybe, and I don't know if that would work, one could place on or two little squares of filo into the muffin tin before filling the holes up with batter? :)
@@danielletushka8636 it's found and made all over greed and had been for longer than turkey ever knew about it. Many people believe it's Turkish but they just adopted it and say they created it. But each to their own

I transfer mine to another bowl around 2-3 minutes in because the metal will have heated up a lot and in reverse keep the egg whites from cooling down completely. Takes 5 mins that way.
Ahhhh this is so handy for Ramadan and Eid!!! Thank you xx
Turkish fan over here!! 🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷
I would also add a dash of rose water or orange blossom water to the sponge
Turkish delights
I thought she'd do this actually!
@thelostheroine Oh yes, exactly my thoughts! ✨
I am so happy that this recipe was released during Ramadan season 😄🌜

Use phyllo instead of cupcake liners, like a cupcake shell.
Great idea!!!
Filo
I think crispy phyllo pieces on the top would be awesome
And maybe a little orange blossom or rose water?
Thought the same!

Hi jemma! Just a question, when doing the caramel in that video. Can you just combine the honey and the cream together?
Isabel Pascua that would just yield a sweet cream :(. It wouldn’t thicken like caramel at all
