very confusing. IMHO the slow step has to begin on four und on one is a stop with rotation. Forward step has to set at two. I cant imagin that there are different standards for international tournament

The international style and american Rumba styles have actually very different syllabus steps and they are also counted differently. There are many similarities as well. But for example there is no "box step" at all in the International style syllabus. But the box step is the main basic step in American style. This is the American style steps.
