Thank you so much for sharing this process. I so often just turn to sketching and colored pencils for fear of wet mediums bleeding through my bible pages...even after applying on a test page. Gotta remind myself to have faith...it's greater than fear. And yes, God has done wonderful things. I pray to him every day and he helps me through it all. Thanks again.
Thanks for another great video and beautiful Bible page, Monica! I have a 24-count set of Master's Touch pan watercolors from Hobby Lobby, and the pinks ALWAYS bleed through for me, but none of the rest of the colors do. Also, my experience has been that any/all Crayola watercolors ALL bleed through as well. I think it pays to purchase good quality watercolor paints if you want good quality results in your Bible!

I don't prep either because in most cases it can be fixed by using acrylics on the other side of the page. :) Amen, there is none like our God. This year I'm experiencing just how true that is in a deeper way. He's so faithful to help me to change my heart responses to the trials I've faced this year. My desire is to become more like Him, to love Him, to love others and to obey His word. God's grace is amazing as He works in us to do and to will His good pleasure!!! \o/
Yes we are forgetful. Just like the Israelites in OT of the Bible..even though God already revealed Himself to us. I need to be reminded who God is and what He has done and what He is doing. Thank you for the reminding me from God's with your beautiful journaling. Am blessed.

I have the same bible and love it, although I use it for bible study notes rather than mixing in art, have a different bible for that.

Be sure to let the watercolor dry before you worry about the back of the page looking like bleed through.
