To me, she felt like an AP assassin with mana - so her CDs hit hard due to mana consumption, but she is balanced by their costs. I think Electrocute is 100% going to be the rune for her though, as it just feels too smooth - maybe Phase Rush in extremely difficult match ups.
Q-AA-E-W-Q makes for a one-sided all-in. Do that twice and I believe it can set-up an all-in kill/zone due to low health.
I found E can be cast right after Q, effectively buffering Q and removing much of its animation lock.
You can hop over the corners of bigger walls like dragon wall or Red/Blue mid turrets' triangle walls.
I liked your build path! Amazing content as always ^^
in her playstyle she reminds me of Lillia (with the high mobility and sustained damage, while lacking any hard ccs on basic abilities). I think she could work well in specific scenarios in the right lane matchup and with a team that brings many ccs. Love the design tho, very curious to try her :)
Yeah I describe her as a battle mage which is the same for Lilia
That makes me happy because I really like lillia’s hit and run play-style but I really don’t like jungling . Looking forward to trying her out.
Aurora is like a control/battlemage type of champion. you want to build her like cassi/ryze/asol and those type, but she has potential to run other mage builds like burst mage or attack speed/on hit. you play her kinda like Lillia, good kite champ, she scales, so her early isnt the greatest, which is also part of that battlemage type. she is also kinda like syndra when it comes to trading. i think she is pretty good overall, but i think long range mages like sera or lux are hard matchups for aurora
Definitely a great kite champ and I see her being really oppressive top versus melee champions. I’ve been testing her versus Lux’s and Seraphine’s mostly which definitely aren’t her most favorite matchups so that’s skewed my opinion of her mid a bit! You hit the nail on the head with your analyses of her IMO!
@@ErickDota thank you! yeah i agree. i've played vs Lux and its just annoying, so i know what i will ban when she comes live xD also i tried her jungling, and her jungle clears are really good, but her ganks pre 6 isnt greatest unless your team have hard cc, so she feels a lot like Lillia jungle, so i would play her as farming jungler like lillia and karthus. Idk, i just see so much flex possibility with her and she could be good in pro play
I genuinely think the invis on W and her ult needs to last longer because they kinda just feel like nothing spells

What mode are you queueing up for to get these matches? My friend and I tried the other day and we had an hour long queue without finding a match.
I wish her Q had more range. Like maybe on par with her E range or more. It just feels stunted to use
This champion is definitely a conq or phase rush kinda champ. Go conq for a lengthy teamfights. Go phase rush for extra mobility.

yea ig she's more or a Battle Mage type, with Ult for a control mage lol. Building burst on her might not be the best idea ig
I tried burst and it felt decent enough with electrocute + ludens but I’m not sold completely on that play style yet 🤔. She gets blown up so fast in fights when she’s squishy!
Her ult isnt even controling its lasts so long ive seen people just walk out of it and when they reach the end it expired

Sorry, what I meant when I said "Control Mage Ult" was more in because she can limit your movement area, which can lead to her, controlling where she wants you or your team. She limits the play area. I think good Aurora players would be scary if they know when and where to place her ult. Imagine being trapped inside with a Zyra that can knock u up and u cant escape. Or anyone really with an AoE skill that night be easy to avoid without any area penalty lol.

If I can get a game versus one! I think those assassin matchups might surprisingly be better than long range mages since you can actually bully them 😅

she def isnt better in top lane tho and i also would argue this build youre going isnt the best personally i had way more fun with going double burn and bft as first item (also gives you good haste which is just kinda important for her) and also lich bane!!
I don't necessarily disagree but can you explain why you think shes better mid than top =o?
@@ErickDota her roam potential is crazy so it would be immensely wasted on top lane but she def is very flexible and could be good in certain top matchups

i think part of the reason why she feels underwhelming is she kind of does other champs things but not really excelling in them, like again why pick her over other mages
I personally think the reason she feels underwhelming mid is becoming her passive 3 hit is supposed to be her main dmg tool
Top lane makes more sense for her since she can outrange and kit most matchups there and also escape all in with her W
And if she needs more dmg they will buff her ratios
I honestly think riot underestimated her mid potential because compared to every single mage who is meta in mid lane her range is bad
And mages like her who are outranged mid just end up finding more success in other lanes
In her case top lane lets her proc passive more often and actually use her range advantage and side lane potential
If they overbuff her in mid then she will be better top anyways
I feel like this is another seraphine/ swain situation where the intended role isnt well thought of
I am praying so hard she doesn’t turn out like seraphine T-T

She’s definitely a jungler. Her main dmg is auto via her passive that scales with attack speed and do more damage the more attack speed you have. Something you didn’t seem to get in your video. Read the fine print. :-D It gets crazy quite fast when you stack some attack speed. She’s totally overpowered then. To me it seems like you are really dependent on using abilities on all the champs you play and don’t like to auto anything but minions. You miss out on most her dmg. Trolling. You only hit 3 times at most. You START doing a lot of dmg at 3 autos. Fruuuuuuuuuustrating to watch.
Her jungle clear is pretty good right now since her passive doesn’t have a damage cap versus monsters but she’s not designed to be a jungler so if she winds up being better there than in lane I guarantee you it’s going to get nerfed.
I’ve tried attack speed and on hit builds but they just didn’t feel good. Maybe top lane if you’re against a melee champ you can bully but, even then, I think non attack speed builds are just better. Spells are your main way to deal damage and apply your passive with autos just being woven in between them.

@@Grego-xz9pt Heavily Mobile and slippery? She has a 20 second cooldown small dash with 1 second of invisibility and a telegraphed cast animation, her ult has a 140 second cooldown, and her passive takes time to ramp up.
You build squishy/for burst and when Syndra stuns you once out of your range and you blow up it's GG. Lux roots you? GG. etc etc. Most mid lane matchups won't allow her to scale into the late game if the player is good.
I think her kit suits top lane much better than mid because she can actually abuse the melee laners and kite them the way her kit wants you to.
Also, im masters + and have peaked challenger multiple seasons ;)

She really feels like a mage take on modern Vayne gameplay, which sounds like a dream to me, but i hope they didnt went too hard on overbalancing it

I tried it and it felt decent and she’ll probably build it in her more bursty builds! Her long auto attack animation and travel time just makes it a little wonky ;-;

Phase rush sounds nice! I haven’t tried it yet but she’s already so good at kiting she’d be uncatchable with PR :D
What happens is that of all the possible gameplays you are the worst who played the champion, from her runes to her buil, without showing her potential, I think that first a little test in practice mode would help you.
