I absolutely love the top unit that you are wearing. Well done! Really cute on you! My husband and I have a trailer. And we have had one for years now, but before that we did regular camping in a tent, etc. The kids loved it. They grew up doing one week a year camping as a family at Bear Lake in Utah. It is absolutely beautiful there. They call it the Caribbean of the Rockies because the water is blue blue blue! Now we have a much nicer trailer and enjoy taking it out and doing exactly what you said. It’s a getaway and a time to commune with nature. It’s quiet and a little bit like playing house. We love it. We have two other couples that we go with. The guys golf during the day and we knit during the day. Can you believe it? It’s the perfect scenario! And then we play games and eat good food and, just hang out. We still do Bear Lake and now our kids are being their kids. It has bonded our family. My guilty pleasure is that I have never once missed an episode of Survivor or Amazing Race. I watch them faithfully!

Thank you for watching Margaret! Bear Lake sounds amazing… will have to add it to my “dream” itinerary- lol. Fun that you have friends to share in the enjoyment of RV/ camper life . I always have to make a compromise… golf or knitting…I love both!!! Happy crafting and Survivor/ Amazing race watching❤️

I love to watch channels of van life.
Your pink sweater is beautiful and the yarn will soften up when you soak it. I used the same wool for my Coorie In poncho. It’s beautiful yarn and so reasonably priced even with the shipping. I have a cabinet of it.

I’m so blown away! I’m knitting Edie from Isabell Kraemer and I tried it on 20 minutes ago. The yoke depth is off because my row gauge is off and I’m having to figure out how to balance yoke depth and circumference on a circular yoke for the first time. I literally thought to myself, “I need to research how to do make these adjustments because I’m obviously clueless!” I sat down to rip back a few rows of the yoke and clicked on a new-to-me podcast. First I’m impressed that you’re even reviewing the comments and sharing links from your previous podcast (I don’t think I’ve seen other podcasters do this!) but the content that you’ve shared in the first 10 minutes is exactly what I need! Blown away! Needless to say, I subscribed! Thank you :)

Hey Linda! If you are still a member of TKGA, the most recent online magazine (Spring and Summer) has a fabulous article and pattern using a Fleegle heel. Several people I know have a high arch and swear by this heel and fit. It is easy to knit with no picking up of stitches or holes. I will say that I have not watched your last episode so if you stated you wanted a heel and gusset sock, I was not aware of that so then disregard this note.
Hope to finally meet you while your in my home town for Flock and Fiber!!!

Thank you for sharing 🙏. The castonitis may be a virus. It has certainly reached me in Denmark as well 🤣.
Am a fan of Holst Supersoft. Goes really well with one strand each of Supersoft and Titicaca, the fine alpaca. The Supersoft will be soft after wash when the `spinning oil` is washed out. That is what makes the yarn a little hard to the feel when you knit with it.

Hi Linda, I just found your podcast and really enjoyed watching, I’ve subscribed. I also like to support Canadian podcasts, I live in Calgary and spend a few months of winter in Vancouver. I was not aware of the knitting store in Mission , thx for the video, it looks great. Black Sheep yarn in Port Moody is an excellent knitting store and worth a trip. I take the bus and train from Vancouver so easy. I love all your knits, well done! I know, the holst super soft is not that soft, I’ve only knit with it once, it is relatively inexpensive. I just started the Bonfire tee by Samantha Guerin, I purchased the same yarn as the pattern and bought it at Wet Coast yarn in Vancouver. She has some really great yarns. Looking forward to your next podcast.

I've had my camping days but still enjoy living that fantasy. My deviation is more hands on. Oh my gosh Linda! I can’t believe you chatted about your Rv obsession! About 7 years ago I became obsessed with the idea as well and even started buying things for it ie : the heating Buddy, water containers, propane lights etc. I made an entire little book filled with ideas for mine and never did it… wa waaaa😢I watched all his shows/ interviews with the people that had converted to this way
    of living.
I think the reason I never carried through with it as much as I was obsessed is because I do not like driving to places I don’t know. I love exploring but I hate the driving. I totally get the excitement of it though I still think it could be amazing to do and could love to create my own little traveling home!

Your Kevat is gorgeous!! Good lessons on changing up fibers!! Isn't yoke depth the same as armhole depth? That is usually on a schematic. I loved seeing the footage of your yarn crawl! Sadly, I am going to miss Flock this year. It is too close to a big cruise I am doing in late August. Maybe next year. Will you be moving out of Canada? I think at one point you were looking at Scotland, right? My husband works at a golf course as well for the free golf, but he is on the maintenance crew. Good Morning Sue- very kind of you to say and so glad you are enjoying my crafting shenanigans❤️. I have bought a few yarns from Hobbii now and so far I am liking the cheaper options…. Easier to add to the stash!!🤗

A You Tube channel I adore is Destination Adventure with Dustin Porter. Older videos are of many places but the last few years he’s explored B.C. We know our province is beautiful, but Dustin captures it like no other with amazing cinematography and commentary. A good episode for overview, he posted about 4 months ago is called Unseen BC.

This episode hit home on several levels. I'm working on the Midocean Tee and I had not seen a chart where it covers the repeats and off to the sides shows a yo and whatnot and I had the darkest time trying to figure out what I was suppose to do. When the light bulb finally went off, it made sense. But there were moments that I questioned so many things. We're in the process of moving (but not having to show our current place) but living out of boxes because things take longer than expected especially when living abroad. Have a great few weeks.

Now I need a Doodle sweater in my life! For the Halu...the last garment I knit with Holst Supersoft I soaked it in water and a bit of dishsoap to help rinse out the spinning oil. Then I soaked it as usual with some wool wash. It turned out nice and soft ❤

I knit the Halu a couple years ago and never wore it! It was so fun to knit and it’s beautiful, but it’s very cropped and no positive ease. After seeing yours I want to make a soft drapey one!
Also, I am just finishing up a reluctant homeschooler cardigan. I ordered the luscious bouclé from Sweet Skein o’Mine.

hi Linda, I've done the Halu twice and the first time, I forgot the Purl in between the pattern as well. I didn't do the bobbles (because I'm lazy)...LOL. I also didn't do the complete chart, because I didn't want the lace to low. I love the pink colour. Supersoft does get softer after soaking, but not that soft. It also seems to shrink in length. So when you do the hem, you should add an inch or two. Have fun! Rosie

Thank you so much for mentioning my podcast and for sharing all this inspiration🙏 I really enjoyed it. I did make the Kevät a couple of years ago and I almost forgot about it, I guess I have to go and dig it out from my closet 😁 The Halu you have on your needles is stunning and I have to agree with Kelly and Noelle, the super soft will get much softer and bloom once you have washed it 🌸
I guess my guilty pleasure is listening to romantic audiobooks. In Denmark a lot of people are so much into crime book, I really don’t like those.
Thank you for now, I look forward to next time 😊

Linda - I love your videos and gorgeous knitting and it's great to see you back here after a short hiatus (or so it seems). Having said all of that, don't hate me but your background music is so dour!!! When I was playing your video, my husband heard the music and asked it this was one of those dog "relaxation" videos we put on for our puppy when we have to leave him alone in our apartment!! You are such a creative, high-energy person, and it would be lovely to hear some upbeat fun music on your upcoming videos. Just my two cents - and perhaps many others enjoy the music but for me, not so much!!!

Laughing at your 'Cheap RV Living' obsession, I am currently obsessed with TH-cam True Crime, TH-cam stories about grizzly bears ( live near Glacier Park) I am obsessed with animal videos and also Mr. Beast videos. I am good at diving into rabbit holes. The Watts murder case rabbit hole was a couple of weeks long. Of course, I knit while in those rabbit holes. 🙂🙃

I’m watching this episode in my 38 ft. Fifth wheel travel trailer parked in a RV park by Lake Whitney,TX. It is my favorite place to be wherever we park it! 😁. We’ve camped all over the country since I retired 10 yrs. ago. Even Canada and Alaska!!
I’ve camped since I was in my 20s (73 now) and camped alone many many times over the years. Always felt safer camping than in a hotel. 🏕🏔🏕
