Cincy played their tails off, and they deserve some respect for such focused play, and probably should have won this game. I don't want to take anything from them in that regard. First of all, mad props to the Bearcats. They gave my Dawgs all they wanted and then some. But let's put this in perspective: most years, UGA is vying for a playoff spot late into the season, usually hinging on the SECCG. This year, however, they were never a playoff caliber team. By all accounts, they had a down year compared to their usual standards. Now, on to Cincy: they had a program-historic undefeated season, capped with a conference championship. They blew out most teams on their schedule, with the exception of UCF. They started campaigning for a playoff spot, and they wanted to make a statement against UGA to bolster their argument. Even had they held on and beaten UGA 21-19, that wouldn't make them a playff-worthy team, seeing as how UGA wasn't a playoff-worthy opponent. After winning their conference, they couldn't even beat the fourth best team in the SEC. At BEST, Cincy would've finished FIFTH in the SEC. Is Cincy overrated? Absolutely not, but we can now lay the playoff talk to rest.
I would somewhat agree with you on your points as a bearcat fan but this isn't the first time that the selection committee has played us to the left-field so I'm going to have to honestly disagree with your points.

Great game by Cincinnati I mean that from a dawg fan. They had me sweating all game long no lie
While I am super happy GA won, I do think cincy proved themselves to at least contend with the best NCAA teams. Great game all around and I hope Cincinnati does better next season( maybe even making the playoffs), but of course GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DAWWWWWGGGGGGGSSSSS!
But all you heard was cinci should have been in the playoffs, but honestly maybe Georgia should have been
@@michaelmerck7576 Um before today the best team you beat was a 6-5 Auburn team. 😂 Like you have to be joking, right?

Cincy played their tails off, and they deserve some respect for such focused play, and probably should have won this game. I don't want to take anything from them in that regard. However, having said that, UGA played sub-par football for the majority of the game (even having players opt-out of even *wanting* to play), but still ended up with the win. I know this is controversial, but the hard truth is that this reveals Cincy (good as they are) still are not ready (yet). This so-so performance by UGA - but managing the win - proves it (I think).
If Cincy had they’re left tackle stay in the game and had better clock management that was an easy W for sure.
georgia was the home team playing at home, and got bailed out vs a northern team
@@mikewilliams9069 bailed out? Refs were on some BS against UGA bud
@@mikewilliams9069 i dont think the crowd played a roll, it was like a high school game in there
I watched this live on a flight to Cincinnati, everyone was watching it. It was the loudest I've ever seen a plane. When that field goal went through, the whole plane went silent, and everyone stowed away their devices and went to sleep or sat in disbelief. I will never forget it.
I think, without this win, we don’t get the players that stayed thier senior year, we don’t win one natty, and we definitely don’t Win back to back. Thanks for winning this game, guys! I was so happy for y’all!
definitely aged well
The kicker drilled the camera guy at the end. Stunning.
So we not gonna talk about both teams wearing colored uniforms? That was great!
fr white uniform are so boring
I'm easily confused. Both are red and black. It took me a couple minutes to tell the two teams apart.
@@tarico4436 nah its easy to tell. Georgia always wears silver pants
And let’s not forget, Georgia’s helmets are red, Cincinnati’s are black. That makes it easier to tell the two teams.

The ESPN commentators sounded so disappointed at the end of the game like they really wanted the Bearcats to win. Lol
I was really tired of hearing the blue blood comment
Lol they did. They kept saying the G5 can compete with the big boys that was the narrative of the game. The refs made it easy by keeping it close. Cincinnati was holding all game I mean all game and nothing was barely called lol..
Well, the didn’t ... Go Dawgs
Happy new year bulldawgs didnt sound that way to me lol
Nice matchup.
THERE IT IS, GOT ITTTTTTT, HAPPY NEW YEAR BULLDOGS.
I hope there a rematch for the national title, and Georgia does what they do best. Not deliver. GO BEARCATS!
Cincy choked against Bama and my Dawgs are National Champs.
@@Shawn6751 I wouldn’t have called Cincy losing a choke by them that was more or less the expected outcome 😂😂
After that performance, Cincinnati proved they belong in the top 10. Ridder and the defense were on their A-game. If Cincy goes undefeated, they deserve to be in the playoff discussion.
UGA winning the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl definitely makes sense!! 🍑
We got Ridder, so happy, Go Falcons!
I feel a rematch coming. Bet we won’t choke this year
this started quite a turn of events. Georgia not winning the SEC game in that stadium but winning the Natty. Desmond Ridder playing in the stadium he currently now calls home in the NFL. wild stuff.
And Georgia won the Peach Bowl in this same stadium 2 years later, funnily enough also on a last second kick.
Goooooooooooooo dawgs! I sure wish we had JT Daniel's or Newman to start the season, but still another great season.
Nothing personal but I would love to never have heard of Neumann, his opt out with less than 2 weeks before opener is his right and I respect that, however, it crippled the offense and cost the Dawgs the season
@@jwalk9890 hopefully it works out for him, but yeah it did suck for a few weeks. I honestly think the Dawgs could have beaten Florida or Alabama with Newman or Daniel's at QB.
Vontre, I agree with you on the beating of the Gators and Alabama. I am and always will be a Bulldog and this season seems wasted. We will be back in 21 and one day soon we will be at the top of the mountain, pissing on Alabama and Clemson, lol. Go Dawgs

nah he was about to put the ball to the ground but he didn’t have control of the ball and he let it go which caused a fumble
It wasn’t a fumble. It should have been an incomplete pass.

That kick... Total. Money,
First of all, mad props to the Bearcats.
I think we played kinda sloppy in the end zone but go dawgs
@@nicholsjonte Oh, no question there is a bias against G5 teams. I'm sure there have been some in the last 15 years or so that should've made the playoff. My only point is, THIS YEAR, neither Cincy nor UGA were playoff caliber teams.
Games like this prove that the playoffs need to be expanded to 8 teams. That being said cincy would have for sure claimed national title if they won this game and that’s soft af.
4th best?
From an ECU fan I can’t be mad that y’all ran a punt when you were up by 30 you Gotta do what you gotta do
