Hey everyone! I know this is pretty different than the usual content, but I'm trying to branch out to discussing other animated series I enjoy while there isn't much Milo or Phineas news! If you would like more videos like this, please leave a like, share, and comment with what you want to see!
Actually she says "Maybe you're better off without me". It may seem like a stupid correction, but there's a big difference. What you said is just Sasha realizing she was a jerk all this time, but the actual line is her not only making that realization, but also seeing that Anne is an amazing person and she's just, and always has been, a burden to her. True family acts like the Plantars, not her.
No one was expecting that ending. I had to watch it three times. The reactions from youtubers were insane. One kept on repeating why this song? I think the show gave Disney a needed boost to compete with Cartoon Network.
Yes!! Absolutely love amphibia & it’s season finale. I think one the finale’s strongest points was the focus between Sasha and Anne. Even tho there isn’t much screen time on Sasha, we can very clearly see the unhealthy power dynamic between the two. I’m excited to see where the show goes with their friendship, if Sasha will get a redemption arc or if Anne just lets go of their unhealthy friendship. It’s been while since I tuned in on this channel (simply because I havent finished S2 of MML yet due to a mysterious evil scientist repeatedly showing up... LOL), but great content as always, and excited to see more uploads! Side note: I really like your animated character!
Based on how Anne demonstrates friendship to Sprig you can see foreshadowing for the unequal power balance in the friendship between Anne and Sasha, as early as episode 1B Best Fronds or the episode where she takes Polly for a girls day out against Polly’s protests because she assumes she knows Polly better than Polly herself does. The lack of respect Anne sometimes shows for Hop Pop can also be traced back to Sasha’s influence as she’d ride roughshod over Anne’s ideas or misgivings if she didn’t like them.
Two brand new Amphibia videos from at least two separate channels in the same week, after months of no one talking about this show at all? Awesome, about time! Please do more on it, I love this show and it needs more love and attention :) That being said, I wholeheartedly agree with your points. This show has some of the best writing I've seen in recent years and they set up the finale amazingly well in my opinion. It certainly brought tears to my eyes, something I haven't experienced from a cartoon show in a while.
i LOVE anne’s character growth! i honestly kinda hated her in the first few episodes, she was kind of a jerk, but throughout season 1 she slowly got better until it felt totally natural for her to protect everyone selflessly

The barrier issue was just for the local region not the whole continent. When the opening zooms out you see Anne in the middle of a valley with two mountains ranges
While I didn't enjoy Amphibia as much as I do Milo Murphy's Law or DuckTales, I am still captivated by the show. Does Anne ever get to go home? & what about her other friend? What is the relation between Amphia and Earth? So many questions.
There is one other big thing that, in my opinion, made Amphibia's finale really good in my opinion. However, in order to give this opinion, I need to give some context: I'd been watching the show every day for Season 1 when it was airing. I was following the story very closely and I enjoyed most of the episodes. However, I'd come to realize that a lot of the episodes were filler and some could be skipped. One of the episodes I inadvertantly skipped due to thinking it wouldn't be interesting was "Hop Popular." I knew that Hop Pop would lose the election because Status Quo is God, but then, Sasha reveals that Hop Pop running for mayor has caused uprisings (this is actually foreshadowed a bit in "Hop Popular" as well, but the reveal by Sasha has a lot more impact). The point that I'm trying to get at is that Amphibia did something that I didn't know any show could do these days: SUBVERT THE EXPECTATION OF FILLER! It caused me to re-evaluate the show and, as you said, recontextualize past episodes to think more in depth about them.
Joe Lopez Avatar: The Last Airbender did something kind of similar. Season (or Book) one has the most filler episodes, as the kids visit various places around the world before finally getting to the North Pole (their season one goal). Most of these episodes could be skipped without missing too much. However, in the Season/Book three special, all of these characters from Seasons/Books one and two reappear and play a pretty important role, and you end up having to go back and rewatch a lot of the previous seasons to understand who those characters are.
what if the Phineas and Ferb movie lead into Milo Murphys Law season 3 by having it take place in spring break so there still on break and it will lead into a way for the people in Milo in space to get to earth for a season 3

I am surprised yet excited at the same time when I suddenly witnessed what Amphibia did became, seeing as it started out as a decent slice of life antics centric show but also hinted twists and turns for the season finale itself
Yes; this episode is indeed magnificent. But I wouldn't consider it perfect. This is probably the ONLY actual issue I have with the show and that would be that the diaologue Anne delivered during the final fight wasn't as impactful or really substantial as Sasha's. This exchange encapsulates "perfectly" what I mean: "What are you doing Anne? You were never like this back home" "Do you ever stop talking?!".
Hi I have an idea of a theory. Everyone always thinks that doofenshmirts is candace and phineas` dad but he is obviously not. Evidence: Doof is not phineases dad In season 2, episode 35, what do it do, we were shown that doof was dating Linda. Doof would've had to have had candace and phineas after this based on the timing in which Linda became lindana. But after doof finished the story, he said that he never saw her again. Therefore doof is not phineas or candaces father. Also candace was not born until 1992. That is after Linda and doofenahmirtz never saw each other again in 1982.

Up until then, most of the episodes seemed like fillers with bits of character development added in. It was mostly just "conflict - character decides to do stupid/wrong thing - other character advises not to - character does it anyway - consequences - saving the situation - apology" over and over again. The finale was what convinced me that this show was going to get intense.
Alternative dimension? Because there IS a Mr PANS (Alright! Gravity falls reference done!) so Gravity falls is in the same world the same earth just a different PLACE on earth so yeah, I guess this would wrap it up!!
That map of the mountains surrounding the "island" isn't of the island, it's just the valley. If you look at the zoom out from the opening you'll see the mountains surrounding where Ann is in Amphibia.
Oh they sure did create a perfect season finale, only your a season early. Although maybe I am a season early and season 3 has the true perfect season finale.
The Disney Junior universe is full of great shows, like Doc McStuffins, and Minnie’s Bow Toons, and Mickey Mouse Funhouse, maybe? Hoping MMF gets renewed.
worth noting that sasha's toxicity had clearly rubbed off on anne, shown with how she treated sprig in "best fronds" at the beginning of the season. great foreshadowing and character depth.
