    "Do you know the rules of the road?"
    bruh do you? , the truck has the right of way the car has to stop before turning

      It depends on the country. In Germany for example the green car would be in the right because the truck isn’t driving on a priority road on which he would have priority.

      @@VeloAufNull How does that work? The green car clearly has to stop as they are coming out of a road to turn left or right, the lorry is presumably travelling along a road straight. Why would the lorry have to give way to the stationary vehicle when it is going straight? Not from US but it would be the Lorrys right of way in my country too. That rule would also impede the flow of traffic if a car had to stop everytime someone was waiting in that side road.

      @@ashdabash3 no matter the country, the only sensible thing is for the car already on the road(this case, truck) to keep going and the car that wants to turn into the street to wait for an opening(the car)

    How did you manage to stretch out a 15 second problem to 1:50 is beyond me.
    Anyway, we know the correct answer but taking into account the truck driver may not concentrate I'd rather let him pass then to have the whole loaded truck t bone me

      Cars turning into another street must yield to traffic already present in that lane. Truck goes first.

      @@danielgarofolo6294 I've never heard of that rule. In which country is that correct?
      Anyway in my country, the rule at an unmarked intersection is "priority to the right".
      The red truck has a car coming from the right. The red truck must give way.

      Considering he could fit the answer into his 10 seconds intro, ofc he would extend the video this much.

    • @alpitu21
      @alpitu21 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What? No that's not how it works at all? If you're turning into a lane where someone is already driving, they must give priority to the person on the lane. Unless they have either a stop sign or a traffic light.

      @@TomH2681 The US. Priority is to go right at an uncontrolled 4 way intersection, unless it’s not a situation judged by time of arrival. Right is first when everyone goes straight, but turns always yield to the person going straight.

  •  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    Guess the answer depends solely on the country you're driving.

    Here in Colombia, when a road ends it yields the right of way, meaning that the red truck would’ve gone first. Also, it’s a little more logical isn’t it? It’s going in a straight line with no signs of warning of slowing down, so it’s logical that a car coming from a 90 degree angle to an intersection wishing not to be made into a hammerhead should yield the right of way.

    Red truck should have the right away since he is continuing straight thus not cutting off traffic oppose to green car

    Different countries, different rules.
    This rule is prevalent in Europe, with the french having it apply to roundabouts also 🤯 (yield to entering traffic).
    Funnily enough, Australia also gives priority to the right, despite driving on the left side of the road. Although only in uncontrolled 4 way intersections. It's super weird.
    If it's a T-junction, the road "coming to an end" would have to give way.

    is the truck's road a priority road?

  • @simonmeadows7961
    @simonmeadows7961 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    They're both driving on the wrong side of the road, so both are driving dangerously. Given it's a t-junction, there should be give way markings on the road and probably a give way sign too. If they're not visible or missing, act as though they are there. The green car should not pull out until they can see it is safe to do so. If they just pull out in front of an oncoming HGV, bad things will happen, particularly how close to the junction they are shown. The HGV probably wouldn't have time to brake if they were doing anything above 10mph.

    I don't agree with the Video Maker..... There are some priority rules even though there are no signs..... If there are no signs, even then both should stop..... 2nd Rule is left turning Vechicles should always yeild to the oncoming traffic.... Which mean straight going truck should continue rather than car which is going to cause an obstacle to Truck's way.....Yes there is another rule of priority..... The vehicle on left should give the way to vehicle on right if both arrive at the same time.
