I can’t believe I’ve completed this full practice just now. It was so beautiful and very challenging. The physical challenge really helps to shut the outside world out and makes you focus inward, to your breath and your body. I’ve been practicing yoga by myself for 6 years now, and I love these videos that make me feel like I’m actually in a class with others. Thank you for this, namaste
I’ve listened to this teaching a few times and I’ve just worked through the first 40 minutes... what an amazing teacher. 20 years of practicing yoga and I’m still learning so much. How lucky we are to have the teachings of masters at the click of a button. 🙏💖🧘♀️
You dont think this is funny? I do. White folks with no culture need deeper meaning so the go to places we (immigrants) try to escape( or they do the 23and me hoping they are something other than white). Yoga is a practice made to deal with the terrible ordeal of hunger, poverty, and uncertainty, to accept one's fate and suffering. Thats what it was originally for. ... I mean once those people leave their circumstances yoga is out the window, and hurray Mcdonals and free welfare money are you kidding! way better. I know this may hurt your feelings but they wont tell you that its a business and doctoring of sorts. But hey as long as it works for you no harm there . I just hope they dont rip u off

Wow this practice is way different that the first time he taught me back in 2006! This makes my current practice look like playdoh! Thank you for such an insightful instruction.
I love this led class. I am trying to figure out Ashtanga and his advices really help to get the intentions of the poses correct. thanks so much for sharing this.

It was a good time for 14 days self isolation. A lot of things to know more inside activities. Keep working for cracking and weakining bones 🦴 for covid19. It is good to work for breathing inhale and exhale especially if you are a weak and collapse lung.
I'm into Ashtanga since little less than 3 years now and today I wanted to follow this beautiful lesson, which was amazing!!! I noticed all that extra "full vinyasas" he calls from time to time and I only saw this in Lino Miele's primary series video. Does anyone know why, what's the difference or if there is any motivation? Thank you and Namaste 🙏
Thank you for sharing this video it's really helpful and is a good step up if you're starting to get comfy with the routine! I find this version much more tiring than the shorter ones, I think because the teacher makes you use your brain and doesn't let you cruise at all, which is great. If anyone has a chance to answer this question: considering that the sequence and instruction are so demanding, what is the reasoning behind the short savasana? Is it recommended in the tradition or is this a one off? X
Hi John , in ur book or also in teachings of Pattabhi joice sir , why there is no counting of keeping your hands up and then down ..before samasthiti...for eg in rdhabaddha padmottanasan, utkatasan, veerbhadrasan etc and many more
Thank you! It helped me a lot with my practice. I would like to know what other words you say at the end of the closing mantra? And also in Padmasana you say some words as well. What is it? Namaste

Question: At 34:40 - why do they bind fingers & foot in Ardha Baddha Padmottanasana AFTER bending forward? Also, the transition between standing and sitting sequence differs from other teachers (one additional sun salutation here), and there are alot of other differences. What's the reason for that?
I do not understand why they are doing suryanamaskara A within the sitting sequence. It does not belong there. I'm saying this as someone who has been doing ashtanga for years with many teachers who follow Sri K Pattabhi Jois. That being said, I don't think this alteration is bad, it's just something different from the usual. Lovely, calm teacher, all in all. Namaste. 💚
53182 that is a vinyasa it is done between the postures in the primary sequence (floor sequence) to keep the body warm and aligned. It is traditional Ashtanga teaching and the same that P Jois would have taught.
@@ms53182 watch the Ashtanga yoga primary series led by Guruji on here. He does the vinyasa in between some of the seated postures as well. I've seen quite a few teachers do it.
Honestly, after 35 years of practice and 20 years of teaching I can tell you that not everyone is meant to do vigorous exercise if any kind for more than 45 minutes. For some, pushing beyond takes more energy than it gives. Focus more on your body, the fullness of the postures and deepening your experience of them.
