A lot of people treat this subject as a taboo. I saw it in my own family. My parents didn't want to ask their parents how much money they had, where they had it invested, and all that. And my grandparents, even in their 80s, never planned for the day they died, and they didn't want to talk about it. Everyone thought that bringing up the subject felt like the children wanted their parents to die so they could get the money, or something. When the parents did pass away, their children had it tougher than it needed to be, even though they got along well and worked together. Luckily, my parents learned the lesson, they are very open about it, and they make plans in advance. I think anyone with some capital should at least leave some instructions in case they die, even young people. You never know. Your loved ones don't need another headache while they're mourning you.
My father has 5 properties all paid for that he has verbally stated he would like to divide evenly amongst the three of us upon his death. He has not created a will or estate planning. I have offered estate attorneys #’s and expressed the importance of having one….still nothing. I am not looking forward to probate and hammering out the details with my siblings and their wives. 😣😞☹️
I'm the one guy booing in the background after Charlie Munger stood by his comments about forced mandatory covid 19 vaccinations. I think if Charlie stands by that he should have mandatory gastric bypass surgery forced on him. At least I made Warren and Becky laugh.
Buffet on estate planning: I gave half my wealth away to charity AFTER MY WIFE LEFT ME for NOT giving to charity and she sadly died (of cancer) before he did it. And the charity he chose??? "The Gates foundation" Yah Buffet is a wonderful example of a human being, if greed and exploitation is your adorable qualities.. The guy is the premium example of someone who has excellent business (ruthless number skills) but has zero ability to connect to humanity on any level... I believe his children only recently started actually talking to him again after 2 decades of no communication. So they are probably just waiting for the guy to croak so they can get out from under that family cloud and pursue their own interests
His children went no contact for that long? That's really surprising then, given how well many talk of Warren Buffett, the ones who work for him or ones who go to charity lunches or who meet him over the years
I agree with you, he’s a phony and a hypocrite. He advocates for higher taxes but with his estate planning, instead of letting his estate get taxed at his death, he donates to the GF as you pointed out and to foundations run by his children. That’s giving his money to his children, again, without paying tax. His children then get to collect enormous salaries while working at the foundations and controlling the family money. I wouldn’t care normally if someone did that except that Warren is an enormous hypocrite by hiding what he is doing to avoid taxes and then preaching that he’s not giving money to the kids.
What kind of value does Warren Buffett think he have? His investment goal is not helping a factory or a company to grow and help lowly worker bees to have better life with secured job. Warren Buffett only wants stocks he invest will generate a lot of interest and push stocks he pick to higher and he then makes a quick buck. Many small time investors worship and idolize Buffett and follow closely to his moves but oftentimes not quick enough. Many generally buy high after Buffett and sell low when Buffett pulls out. The result is warren takes a windfalls the company or factory and the small time investors lose all to Buffett. That is the value of Buffett? George Soros does the same thing. They may give millions in charity that actually came out of many stupid small timers or the downfall of some factories and companies. Countries outside of the US should prevent this kind of investors. In the 80s many Thai businessmen committed suicides because of foreign big wig investors. Do these big men in stock market really care about simple ordinary honest working folks?
👍👍👍👍.I've been quite unsure about investing in this current market and at the same time I feel it's the best time to get started on the market. i was at a seminar and the host spoke about making over $972,000 within 3 Months with a capital of $200,000. i need to know how to go about it. I need guidance on what investments to make.
this dude was trying to win an Oscar lmao

WARREN SHUT HIM DOWN...LOL

Is this man asking a question, or giving a speech?
Warren is so wonderful! It's so true what he is saying, excellent advice!

A rare serious error of judgement by Munger.

@@AverageAngel soo which children are these ones going to lunches?
@@ronburgandy1475 no children are going to the charity lunches just the famous bidders
His wife had no right to order him to do what she wanted with his money, and neither do you
