I'm glad at how fun this game is to watch and to play, but it's still amazing at how this game was thought to be a massive meme and yet it's just a genuinely fun game, indentured workers for life
This episode started with a pet chicken starving to death and got progressively more dark from there.

Out of everything else in this game that is extremely questionable, capturing people is the part where the game is like "Hey, that's kinda messed up"💀😂

And its name is ... VVixen (Yes: That is supposed to be a W) and that is the german word for ... well the 5 finger shuffle.

As a heads up at 12:31 unless it works different than the gamepass version I play, when you want to craft the saddle for it cotton will have to research and initiate the build if you do not catch/hatch one of your own. Bro and I playing together and any we passed through the palbox like that did not unlock the tech, but did not prevent us from picking up or working on tech the other started.
Digging this game so far. Interesting how the butcher knife + human situation strikes so many as "omg why" when if it was GTA no one'd bat an eye to cap randos and prostitutes for cash.

4 weeks later, and Cotton got his DIBS. I actually forgotten about it, I had to look at most of these videos again to find it.
Pro tip. The Boar is really good at breaking up mining nodes when you ride him and you don't have to spend durability on a mining pick with him.
I recently learned that you can teach pal moves to the humans. Just feed them the pal skill fruits.

Josh, what the actual heck- not only did you catch a high level Pal in the first episode with a 5% catch rate. You caught a human being and an even stronger Pal with a microscopic catch rate- what is your luck??

I'm fairly certain that the reason that the reason that crafting isn't just a button toggle and instead you have to sit there and hold the button the entire time is to incentivize you to catch pals to do the work for you. Some of the later builds and crafts take so very long without a pal with advanced handicrafts.

If you catch merchants and release them to the base you can still buy and sell merchandise with them.😅

As of now, through a glitch, it is possible to catch Syndicate Leaders, though it may get patched soon, so if you want some of your own, you gotta catch ‘em quick before the devs fix the bug!
Also it is an excellent Strat because they have absurdly high HP

I mean...One advantage of capturing humans is to capture merchants to buy and sell stuff at your own base so...
Not spoilery or essential, but after a pal goes up at least a few levels, you can go to its status and click the edit next to its species name to give it a nickname

LMFAO I just capture the first npc by accident by wanting to use her as a shield against a lvl 17 Pal I throw the thing and I got killed while the capture animation was playing. When I revive a msg appear saying "capturing humans Is cruelty" and I was like... WTF!?😂😂😂 That caught me so...

Pal sounds really funny in my country because it sounds like Pau, which is stick but it is also a way to say Dick, so it gets really funny hearing stuff like small Pal, Pal fluid, Smell like Pal, etc.
Haha. I'm just thinking "Paolumu" for some reason reading that (I know it's "pao" instead). I can imagine you'd be giggling through half of everyone's videos, though. I honestly wish they'd have come up with a name aside from something so generic like "Pal".

I wonder if catching the humans was a game bug. Like for some reason to make the AI work well, they got programed like a pal. They then put a low catch chance to hope people can't get them.
No, it definitely was not, lol. They knew what they were doing. They implemented an entire morality and legality system around catching other humans. There's absolutely no way that was an accident.

It's kind of like Minecraft, where you kind of have your own personal store. You still have to do all the same things you would before you captured them, though. Mainly, paying for the stuff. I'm not sure if there's a discount system involved at all, though.

I feel like, in this game particularly, capturing humans should not be considered that much worse than everything else you can do in this game with the friendly, fluffy, cute animals who only want to love you. Like, at least you're capturing people who themselves are trying to enslave the cute animals. And it's not like you yourself are not also enslaving and abusing the cute lovable creatures. This whole game, in general, is extremely *questionable* with its morality.
I mean, all of it is questionable, but I think it's highly inconsistent more than anything. I was also wondering why the police basically immediately spawn in sometimes when you're capturing the criminals, lol. Like, you'd think we'd be doing them a favor given the lawlessness of this world. 😂
