Should I keep these kind of maple only in shade throughout day? I keep my on balcony and it receive direct sun for few hours each day, but leaves getting scorched and dry very easily, i feel that tree is suffering because im doing something wrong.
Unlike on the soil, the balcony is made of concrete and only dry wind comes, so I think there is not enough moisture in the air. Make a shade and spray the leaves with water

はじめから斜めに植える方法、とても参考になりました。
先日、モミジの苗木を曲げてみましたが、強く曲げた後少し傷がついたようで針金外してほっといたらそこがコブのようになりました。そのコブは徐々に太ってきております。幹肌に針金の後がついたわけではありませんが、傷つけずに曲げていくのも難しいですね。

今の時期針金かけたらいつぐらいまで置いとけば良いんでしょうか？
今年梅雨に針金かけた紅葉がもうくいこんでしまいました(*_*)
木の種類や樹齢なので変わってきますので、少し食い込んだぐらいがいいと思います。苗に限りますが… 苗で早いものは1週間もしないで癖はつきます。
