I love the resourcefulness of their van. They can go and do everything a $150,000 van can do. The reuse, tie it down, save that piece, and pride of putting it all together is what makes this van priceless. Awesome job.
They are the coolest couple. Love their personalities and vibe. It’s been the realest van life build I’ve ever seen. All the others are like rich people wanting to do something trendy and building these expensive ass homes on wheels. This is the kind of van life I would want.

I love your interior design, it's just kind of mixed together and straight from the heart. Some people pay 10 times much as you did, but don't even get close to that warm and lovely feeling you made your van.
Thanks so much for putting this together and doing such an amazing job. You shared our story in a way that inspires us to keep on doing it. Anyone can do it if they set their mind to it and aren't afraid to get dirty! You two are great.
What can one say, you are a very grounded couple who obviously love your space and how it works for you. I have to compliment your budget skills and how you love and live together. Looks like you had a lot of fun on the journey. Kind regards to all three of you. Paul from London
I always just fast forward to random places in these tiny house/van videos (for random ideas for whenever I move in the future; wether to a house, apt or van/container house) so haven't seen the entirity of this yet...but that sliding table at 4:22 is straight awesome.
Heather and Curtis, you two are adorable! I'm so glad you are living your dream! Thank you for showing us your van build. I pray you will keep safe and continue to do well with your creative businesses, doing what you love. Blessings all the way from Dallas, TX. If in Dallas area, let me know, you may stay in my driveway, Diane
I love the position of the lagoon table. Looks like it can pivot over the bed for nighttime movie watching. And the rest of the layout is cozy and is like a happy collage.
They were so clever with the blue bathroom door! & what they used for their van overall! What also amazes me is how there is the front windshield and then the set of windows on the back doors but on the sides of the van there aren't windows, but looking from the interior, it doesn't feel that way. They have a nice home style set up & although there aren't windows on the side, it's not missing
Travels of Heather and Curtis it’s a great idea.. the only other designs I’ve seen are operated by a foot pump or gravity fed.. your system could probably be made up with a small inexpensive fish pond pump.. thanks!
OMG !! i've seen about a million van builds, and this one is probably my favourite - and that was even before i saw the "tarot readings available" sign !!! 😍
Tarot readings, Chrystal balls, horoscopes and other such things are not of Jahova God and therefore they are evil spirits which can bring you serious harm. It is not just a fun game either. You or a loved one or your home can become possessed. If this happens, it's not easy to get a Priest there to rid you of the demon. It's just that they are told to be sure that's what is going on in your home. You should pray, "In God's name, I command you to leave." I know you don't realize that even if you don't take the tarot cards, etc. seriously, it is a very dangerous game. The tarot card readers who have a business bribing people out of their money are lying leaches out to steal everything they can from people. They tell them they need to give them their money so it can be buried, but then they keep the money. Please pray and read Gods word. He will guide and protect you. Realize though that all of us will have hardships and obstacles throughout our live, but he can help more than you can imagine. He said not to have any idols or other gods that he is the only one. May God be with you. Blessings 🙏🏼
Travels of Heather and Curtis lol my family’s cat is also not a fan of my Pomeranians but the Poms love him. Plus I got him a cat tower so he owes me for life and must put up with the puff balls. 😛🥂
The dark bathroom door is a nice touch! I love how it looks more like a display wall than a door! Great commonalities - they are lucky to have found each other.
Aw your van is gorgeous, love the cat and you can put him on a leash, we used to have a Siamese that we used to take everywhere on a leash at least you know they are safe, you’ve done very well considering you’ve done it on second hand stuff it still looks great, love the back windows so stay safe and god bless you all xx
Thanks! Cutting the holes to put it in was one of the most stressful things we did, and love that they look good. Also we love our cat and if she wasn't with us we'd be sad. ☹
@@TheSub2rainen ha! She's really in charge. We spend a good amount of time making sure things are how she likes them. But she never gets enough food for her liking 😁
I bought my 24-foot bus for $1,950 and I am in the process of doing my conversion. 20 bucks here 35 bucks here and as I go I'm slowly getting it done. I think they did a pretty nice job.
Heather needs to check into making St Park pins or something ... her art work seems to fit into that nitch .... love it ... our van is done with memories too .. .
The best thing is, and I'm not saying this to downgrade our own skills, but anyone can do this! We didn't have the space or the proper tools but look what we did! See you all on the road!
I have 2 bengal cats that was 2 and 3 years old when I got them. Took 2 years before the male cat started to warm up so much that he came to sleep on my lap one day :) Before that he would barely let me touch him, the female one is still now 6 years later on the bearly letting me touch her lol. But the male one I have learned to walk on a leach and he was 4 years old when I started, on trip no 5 he started to accept it. Normally they walk freely outside but I was thinking it could come in handy one day if I move to more urban location.

That’s exactly how I would have built my van except made the bathroom a wet bath so I could have a shower. I am sure you could still do that. You can buy a shower pan and plumb it to drain and buy a faucet for the sink that has a long sprayer on it (or just get a plastic sprayer that slips over the sink faucet) and make a cut out and stretch it through the whole and have a hook that it slips into to hold it, put up a couple of shower curtains all the way around the bathroom and there ya go. Set the toilet out when you shower and you have plenty of space. All you would have to do for the drain is run a pipe and connect it somehow to the kitchen gray water jug. *I couldn’t do without a shower in the van* It doesn’t have to be fancy, just needs to serve it’s purpose. As I said, *I absolutely love your ideas and it being so homie* I have been looking for a camper but I really think I want a short bus to build out. I can’t do a van because I have 3 and an 1/8th dog, or I totally would. Enjoy Be Safe 💚

I'm fortunate that a budget isn't an issue. I've debated between hiring someone to do the build and doing it myself as one big art project. The problem I kept facing with professional builds is that they are too perfect looking. Not that it's a bad thing but not right for me apparently. It wasn't until I saw this that I came to this conclusion. Yours looks like an old lived-in home full of history. That's what's lacking from a perfect new build (for me). Love this! I'm building out my used 2019 PM 136 wb low roof. I'm short and can stand in the back- part of the reason I wanted a low roof. Got a newer one because I wanted it to last a long time and I'm not mechanically inclined. I'm also trying to incorporate recyled items to keep the cost down, and just because I like repurposing things. I'm taking my time, because I can, (about 6 years or so to retirement, when I can travel much more) and I'm trying to figure out my needs/wants... I have 2 older cats, 15 and 14. The older one might be ok riding but the 14yr old not so much. I love the idea of a cat traveling, but not fond of having to have a litter box.
Terrific job! I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you that! Fantastic value. I’ve seen $150,000 vans with less bathroom! Have you weighed it full? May be a good idea just to know.
"We have a Shur-flo water pump and HE lives..." I was not aware that my Shur-Flo is male gender. Wait... what if its a female? 🤣 What is the difference between 'Van Life' and 'Digital Nomad Life'? Aren't they the same thing? I'm curious to know. Very nice build, and the most creative thing is that you did it on a very tight budget. Wonderful! The build is cozy and homelike. Your cat seems so contented and relaxed, and thank you for letting him go outdoors, they need that. The vintage windows outside are lovely and very functional, letting air in but keeping rain out. The best thing you did overall, is fix up that older van. So nice to see it back in use and cared for, instead of being wasted in an abandoned lot. You put your money where it counts: Good van, great solar and inverter system, batteries, and even the Lagun table leg which improves functionality a lot and removes cursing on a daily basis for cheaper things that don't work. Many people make pretty decor and are missing the key items that enable easy living such as functional systems of power and water. I also admire your guts in finding mobile work and making this lifestyle work. Hard work to do all this and keep it going. Its hard financially, emotionally, and physically. Well done! The savings, travel, and getting to know yourself better are huge benefits in this lifestyle. fyi - You both have a way of ending every sentence like a question on a high note. This is difficult to listen to. It is not a question being asked but a statement being made. Correct verbal punctuation will enhance your videos.
Travels of Heather and Curtis ...yeah and also every day u would need to wash ur self I think its much expensive to daily use ur gas to go to the gym unless u live there at their parking lot...outside shower is not always comfortable if this is a full time living I think In order to call it home it shld contain the essentials like the normal home
You have a 3/4 bed which was very popular many years ago and perfect for going tiny. They still sell 3/4 beds✅ Great job recycling and keeping memories💜
the privacy could be so much more private if you only switched the door hinge to the other side. Im glad that you are open with going in the vans. So many people are like "yea we have a toilet but we NEEEEEVER use it for number 2s..." yea right... its natural and EVERYONE has to take a dump, hopefully every day.
I love the resourcefulness of their van. They can go and do everything a $150,000 van can do. The reuse, tie it down, save that piece, and pride of putting it all together is what makes this van priceless. Awesome job.

Excellent build, beautiful and livable
Thanks so much! Glad you liked it, have a great day!
This is so inspiring! I love this!
If we can do it you can too!
The porta potty tank can be dumped into any toilet . The force of the contents into the toilet causes a flushing action .
They are so cute
Thank you! You can't tell how dorky we are in the video, so we seem way cooler. Lol
Travels of Heather and Curtis ahaha that’s okay it’s cool to be dorky, cuz it means ur smart and passionate 😁
Finally a van with a bathroom!!
Wow, stunning! I love the hidden Millennium Falcon painting. Lovely van conversion and so function too. Thanks for sharing :-)
😁Glad you liked the painting. It's one of mine. I can always do more. They did such a great job on the tour.
@@growingwildheather Wonderful!!! They really did :-)
Oh man, now I’m rewatching!
I must have seen it subliminally because I started to think that my van's interior is going to be like the Millennium Falcon.
I love it! Of course, that means you have space for smuggling and wookies lol!
You have a 3/4 bed which was very popular many years ago and perfect for going tiny. They still sell 3/4 beds✅ Great job recycling and keeping memories💜
Thank you. It keeps us close😜
Awesome ... Keep Truckin !
as an artist I retired at 21. everything after has been the life of an artist, that is 3 times 25. good luck kids
Cute couple. Yay for them.
Thank you. It was a lot of work and a lot of learning, but it came together somehow. Lol. Have a good one, all the best.
I love the lantern.
This van is super nice🤩
the privacy could be so much more private if you only switched the door hinge to the other side. Im glad that you are open with going in the vans. So many people are like "yea we have a toilet but we NEEEEEVER use it for number 2s..." yea right... its natural and EVERYONE has to take a dump, hopefully every day.
Great van build!
Cute couple and nice van!
Nice person, great comment! 😋
One of those magnetic door screens would be good across your big side door.
We improvised with some dollar store bug netting that works so far, maybe next summer we'll upgrade!
Nice couple-- glad it's working well for them.
Thank you! Hope you have a good day!
Lovely van and great ideas and couple.
Inspiring for my own build!
Glad we could help we watched a lot of Exploring Alternatives when we did our build and it helped generate ideas!
