amazing content, many thanks again. I already asked, but please do a review of your "favorite" pro stock HG12, I love warrior coverts and HG12 looks like perfect alternative. Btw Covert QRE are smaller than every other gloves I trier, I have 15" and they are much shorter in fingers then all other 15" I have, even Bauer 14" are longer.
Great video. What is the length of your 15" 3d hand? I noticed that pro stock gloves seem to have minimal inside padding making the gloves fit very loose. Do pros prefer looser fitting gloves? There should be a way to add padding on the inside kinda like what you showed in the video
Middle finger to bottom of the palm is about 18.5 cm. Pro fit is totally personal preference so there isn't an answer for general pros. Some of my pro stocks have double thick back hand padding and others cut out the backhand padding.
I just bought the Tacks 9080 in a 14", seemed to feel better than 15's but my fingers are right at the edge, and when I grip with my right hand (I'm lefty) my middle finger really pushes through the tip. Is that a bad fit? Just getting back into hockey after years away, so I'm not sure what I should be wearing. My hand is about 7.5"
@@HockeyReviews I was thinking that, I was able to exchange them yesterday and the store had the 9080's in a 15. Feels much better. Great video, appreciate the help!
I just picked up pro stock 15 inch Bauer Hyperlite gloves and they feel like 14s. I'm super bummed out now because I have to pay the return shipping. Do you know if this is common?
It depends on what gloves you have used in the past when you are making that comparison. Bauer pro stock are 99% of the time 1-1 compared to their retail models.
I have 1X Pro, 1X Lite Pro, APX2 Pro and all fit the same as their retail options in terms of finger length. To me "fitting big" is finger length and not snuggness. Seems like you got a weird one off unfortunately if the finger length feels longer.
@@HockeyReviews its all good buddy. i think i just had the same issue as you said in the video. i got 7 1/4 palm to finger tip length so 14.5 and i ordered 14 inch. but my hand is thin on the top so gravity pulls them down a bit. might go 13 inch and hopefully it works out
Just think of it this way. It is generally 1/2 size down for CCM. So it depends where you fit into their retail gloves. STX is a crap shoot as every glove they released fits differently length wise. Bauer , True, and Warrior have been True to size with retail so far
@@HockeyReviews To clarify, the hands say CCM retail is a half size smaller than retail Bauer? I like the fit of my 14" FT390s (FT1), but my fingers go too far. So would going Bauer 14" fix my problem?

Generally speaking your fingers shouldn't be going past the padding blocks on the gloves.

@@HockeyReviews I compared them to my 1Xs. My prostock 1S also fit big when they're supposedly snug

@HockeyReviews yup the fingers on the Hyperlite are short, like a 14. My 1S feel wide for some weird reason, maybe it got stretched out
how to you feel about Eagle gloves? got any pointers or opinions?
In what sense? They are lagging behinds the bigger brands in terms of protection and design wise. But no one beats their custom options.

So we can say basically, when ordering pro stock go with 1 size down for ccm and stx and go with true to size for bauer?

@@HockeyReviews what was the length on you 14” hand from tip of middle finger to bottom of palm? I couldn’t find it.
@@-Nobody-1 7 1/2" or 19cm from tip to base of the print
@@HockeyReviews thanks!

bought eagles 14 inch. my hands are 7 1/4 inch in length. should have went 13s
Can you tell me why some NHL players gloves look SO tiny?
Example: Tyler Bertuzzi wears a 14” glove but the glove looks so small on him…
Negative cuffs and a you pull up jersey that exposes your arms. Both make gloves look smaller than they are.
so everything hockey equipment wise is complicated huh?! great 😅 lol
Your 3D hands are missing a few fingers eh? ;)
Did you miss the explanation for this?
