- Its been a tragic week in the monster community and for family and friends. We have lost what I considered my little brother. Mike Thompson was a guy you could always count on to be there for you through thick and thin. He was always there to make you laugh and make you cry from laughing so hard. He was a smart and endlessly talented human being. Everyone that had the privilege of knowing Mike will certainly never forget him.
We all Love you Mike and may you rest in eternal peace.
Thank you guys for all the support and love. Also I apologize for the misspelling of Michael at the end. You would think being my own name I'd get that right..
You have had an extremely long and tiresome week. We all just hope you can properly mourn your friend and take care of yourself.

Keep rocking Mikey. You do a helluva job in monster trucks and a great job with videos and giving us a behind the scenes look of what monster trucks are and how things go. I saw Steve Thompson a few years ago at a speedway show near me and he rocked the house. I am very sorry to hear what’s happened. I know it’s extremely hard. Keep your head up man. You’re a great dude and you do a great job with everything you’re doin’. Keep rocking!

I’m sorry about Mike Thompson I met him back in 2017 for a monster jam arena tour event he was so nice my deepest sympathies for you and the loss of your good friend I will be praying for his family, friends, and fans everyday

Yesterday, we did a show for Jimmy Creten in Muncie Indiana and just before intros, I talked to the announcer (Cameron Migues) and he was telling me about the time he bet Mike that he couldn't get the crowd to chant "Big Trucks". But Mike was able to get the entire crowd hyped up by chanting "Big Trucks" to get the show started, so at that show we kicked off that show with a Big Trucks chant for Mike. It was a very exciting moment for us at the show to be able to throw something in for Mike while also keeping the spirits up.

Losing Mike really hit home, as a fan of both you guys and of Team Scream, and also of Natural Disaster racing, who I just saw a couple weeks ago in Gaithersburg and can't imagine what they're going through. Glad to see you moving forward, still turning in good performances. Mike would be proud.

Didn't know him at all but seemed he made friends everyday. Was a good driver. I've been watchn Monster trucks all my life, and honestly besides the big names , I never payed attn. But you changed my outlook on that first time you responded to me. I was like holy sh$t , this famous driver talked to me. And then I learned of your dad and so on. I'm sorry for the loss of Mike to the monster truck community and his family. I live in Va so Since he was a maryland man , he's good with me. r.I.p. mike. My condolences goes out to his family and friends as well as you all. I didn't realize who he was until the end of the video and I seen that photo of you two. Then I was like, I seen him in your past vlogs. I know it has to be tough on anyone who knew him and his family. I didn't know him personally and I got this sad feeling when you mentioned of his passing and I've never met him. He may be gone, but I'm sure all who knew him will never forget him.

Currie Gaming Its the other way around. Turbulence was out years before the ol V8 bomber.

Mikey! Ya know I've actually got a ECX Axe (1/10th scale) RC Monster truck and since Mike drove Axe before i know i can drive it with pride at competitions i need to put a #neverforget sticker on the back of my Axe truck in rememberance of Mike.

There's no right or wrong way to deal with losing a loved one, everyone has to find their own path - not something you want to have get experienced in especially at a young age. The way I have come to deal over the years is to bring them up whenever a situation comes up they would be relevant in or to remember something funny or cool they did in those situations. Sorry you lost a friend, RIP.

I met mike years ago at the bash on the beach event when he was driving for jim, and I instantly knew that he was a natural and the future of the sport, he was nice, a great personality and I went out of my way to see him go to every event he drove at, regardless of the truck he drove, I was a big fan of his, and I still am.....mike was the same age as my daughter and it really hit home hearing about his death, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry
