Oh man. I ADORE Might & Magic 3, but I also had the misfortune of having a bugged copy. It was unbeatable, since one dungeon midway through had a glitch that would freeze the game and erase all of my data 💀
I believe the game is a buggy mess in general. I've had my save files corrupted before. Great game, but it feels like they didn't port the game that well because it chugs along at such a slow pace. And I think Jason is wrong about the visuals. 🙂 The game is very pretty and looks way better than the Ultima games.

dude if you played the trash port of dungeon master for 30 hours you're going to be fine with mm3. mm3 is fairly long, 70 hours seems stretching it. It's a really good game, one of the best early 90s western rpgs. wizardry 1-2-3 aren't that long but they won't be that fun to play, ive never played the snes versions. wizardry 5 is the longest and hardest of the ones available on snes. probably as long as 1-2-3 combined wizardry 6 is probably 20-25h at the most, if theres a translation. it's fine

Your Phantasy Star month inspired me to play 2 for the first time (which was a blast!) and replay 4 which was soooo much more fun having played more of the series (3 is still on the back burner). I always thought it was weird, because 3,4 and 5 make a sort of little story, and use the same engine, but 4 and 5 never made it to any consoles, and 3 was obviously taxing to the SNES. ...Anyway have fun playing a game that every button input has a 3-4 second input lag.
I don't think most channels merchandise well... But they do anyway. But yeah if I was in your shoes I wouldn't either but keep the door open too. If you get big, and you have the chops, it's just a matter of luck at this point, people will ask for it and even if it's dumb it would be throwing away money. But you can always use the money however you want. Donate it, buy channel stuff, throw pizza parties for your friends. Even if it's dumb.
