    Couldn't love my Base Model V1s any more than I do. I've put in 150 miles on one pair as a heavier guy (and have about 30 on another) and I just don't want to stop. They're so light and not overly cushy so I never feel clunky in them, even on my most tired legs. So excited for the V2!

    Did you guys do a review for the Artist as well? Purchased my first pair of the artist today - 90 dollars out the door (including shipping!) Thanks Atreyu for your efforts in trying to restore balance to the rediculous running shoe price boom of the last 3 years! When I hear someobdy say, for example, "This shoe is only 135 dollars so its a pretty fair price" WHAT!! Nothing fair about anything in hyper inflation. Dont use relativity to co-sign rediculous shoe prices! Atreyu, you guys are my heros!

    Well, 1st and foremost hands down I support the mission of this company and I have told them so. I hope they can give these big companies with their high prices something to think about! I am enjoying Base V1, and still running in it and yesterday I sent away for V2 even though I have no need for more running shoes by any means. As I said, I wish to support them. I recently acquired The Artist which I also like on my 1st impression run and will test it on my next half marathon in Simi Valley on 1/23/22. Thanks for this encouraging review. :-)

    I received the v2s today, replacing my v1s that have over 300 miles. I ran 5 miles including 2 miles at about 10k pace. The v2s seem to be more responsive than the v1s. I'll use them for easy runs, probably also for some long runs. I have the Artist for faster runs.

    The unstructured heel and forefoot, combined with a roomy, yet locked down midfoot, make the Atreyu shoes fit me more comfortably than anything else on the market. They're definitely good for runners who are between a normal and wide width. I have the V1 and The Artist, and they do everything I want. The outsole on the base model flares out wide enough to give me more stability that I was expecting, too, and it's helped my knee pain tremendously.

    I have V1 and only 25 miles in them so far. I enjoy the lightweight, minimalist ride....maybe a touch firmer than I prefer but that's my only minor complaint. I definitely plan to take them to 100 miles and beyond. I also snagged a second pair in a different color on discount for just $65. Hard to beat that!

    Michael is doing some amazing things with this company and looking foward to whats coming in the future. I would absolutely love if they had a stability version with a regular EVA posting. I would buy those in a heart beat.

    Took advantage of a canceled morning meeting and was able to take my OG Atreyu’s out for one last ride. With the new V2s arriving this afternoon, it’s time to say goodbye to a pair that treated me so well despite some serious abuse for over 300 miles these last few months. Last rites given by REM’s Monster album. It’s been real, later sk8tr! #AllThingsMustPass

    Atreyu (as far as I know) never claimed that their shoes are build to last, and even the subscription thing suggests that they are not, so i dont know why people even worry about it :) I would love to try them if I had the rotation to put it in in order to enjoy them longer...and if the shipping didnt cost more than the shoe :D

    I'm really enjoying my V1s. The cushion to weight ratio is almost perfect and the barely there feeling of the upper is excellent. If the V2s have any additional pop or cush then I'm stoked!

    Is shoe wear really linear? Will 200 mile wear and tear be double that of a 100 miles? I doubt it but would be interesting to find out.

    After shipping, duty, and exchange (to Canada) these cost in the exact same price range as the more "traditional" daily trainers (Ride, Ghost, Cumulus, Clifton etc.) Are they worth it if they're the same price as those other shoes that will last longer?

    • @Believeintherun

    • @danny3335
      @danny3335 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Same here...add in the shipping and tax, it would be around 130usd and for that price, there're plenty of option out there.

      I love them and I get them sent to Australia. Pretty different to a major brand shoe. They are also designed by a small crew of runners for runners. Atreyu to me is more than a Brooks shoe from a chain store. It’s supporting a good group with a unique product. And they are great to run in.

      Honestly, at first I was worried about the grip considering there’s no additional outsole rubber added to the foam. I had no issues cornering or keeping traction even in the worst conditions. I was pleasantly surprised. - Brandon

    Not sure I'll get any of the benefits of the Atreyu business model in Australia. Also, not sure I can get on board with non-durable shoes - worse for the environment.
