    My first pocket knife was a multi blade Kbar purchased with lawn cutting cash. Carried every day, and every where including school (this was years ago) until I foolishly used the blade as a pry bar and broke it. I still have the knife in my “memories “ box. Thanks for the video.

      I've been doing the opposite - getting into Spyderco after buying quite a few CIVIVI, and I love them both. I recently picked up a few CJRBs as well, and while they are a little uneven in their designs, they make quality knives. One thing I really appreciate about CIVIVI is the wide use of hollow-ground blades and the general quality of their edge grinds. Edge grinds are an area where Spyderco has been a little inconsistent for me so far - nothing terrible, but I'd like to see some better symmetry to the grinds... not that that issue is exclusive to Spyderco. Geez, I talk too much...

I’ve held Benchmades and Some WE and even some Chris reeves but I still loved my original pm2 for so many reasons.I would love to make it out to a legitimate knife store and really try out the actions. Does anyone know of a substitute deep carry clip for the Dozier?

      For the ultimate deep carry, just remove the pocket clip entirely.

    Dear David, Would you say those are the 14 biggest knife companies? 14 best selling knife companies at KC? Or 14 most recognized brands in the USA? Surprised there was no Case... even though I don’t like slipjoints.

    • @yoryteperman429
      @yoryteperman429 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I heard Case lovers are like a cult - you are either "in" and then all you like is 'case' and not much else, or "out", and then you do not care for 'case' at all - because when it comes to performance, metallurgy, ergonomics, balance, overall design - ANY of the knives on that table in their cheapest simplest iteration would blow a 'case' knife out of water - in objective terms, in every regard... Of course, they cannot compete with an emotional connection one may have formed with a case knife gifted to him by grandpa, but this is a ... MARKETING video to promote and encourage purchasing habits (- oh horror!!)... It's like with numismatics - there are people who collect gold coins, then there are people who collect silver coins (which generally cost about a tenth of a gold one), and THEN, there are people who collect copper pennies ( - I admit, a somewhat uncharitable analogy, but I think a fairly correct one...)

      @@yoryteperman429 I’d agree... but buck is right there with em... they really have lagged behind in a lot of ways in the last few years with materials and quality.... but people are damn near ready to spill blood for em lmao

    You are totally right regarding the Spyderco Paramilitary 2. (Especially with also the Benchmade 940 in your drawer.)
    But
    (And you knew, that there is always a "but")
    But for a few months I have now the smaller Spyderco Paramilitary 3. And I must say that the Para 3 just easily blows away all other knives. I even just bought a second Para 3. Just because it has blue handles. And I am a cool blood german near Solingen. These people would NEVER(!!!) buy the same knife again just because of a beauty feature.
