- 莊太量教授現為香港中文大學新亞書副院長，劉佐德全球經濟及金融研究所常務所長及環球經濟與金融跨學科主修課程聯席主任，2013-2016年兼任南京大學思源講座教授。莊教授1991年獲香港中文大學經濟學學士，1995年獲美國羅徹斯特大學 (University of Rochester) 經濟學博士，其專業研究範疇為計量財務學。莊教授為全球首百分之五經濟學家 (RePEc) ， 傑出作品量為全球首百分之一，2000-2005年於全球理論計量經濟學排名37。莊教授著有《人生煉金術》一書及1000餘篇論文發表於國際學術期刊以及中港報章。莊教授熱心服務社會，經常接受電子傳媒及報章訪問，及定期為國內及香港特區政府培訓官員，並出任多項公職，曾任世界銀行及聯合國世界綠色組織項目顧問，香港特別行政區政府中央政策組非全職顧問，標凖工時委員會委員，交通諮詢委員會委員，土地及建設諮詢委員會委員，紀律人員薪俸及服務條件常務委員會，電訊(競爭條文)上訴委員會成員， 中小企業發展支援基金及發展品牌、升級轉型及拓展內銷市場的專項基金評審委員會委員及康樂園國際學校校董，現為香港特別行政區政府扶貧委員會及關愛基金專責小組委員，中小型企業委員會委員，會計及財務匯報覆核審裁處委員團委員，房委會資金管理附屬小組委員會，香港總商會經濟政策委員會委員，九龍總商會名譽顧問,嶺南大學商學院諮詢委員會成員，香港賽馬會會員及馬主，香港地方志(專業服務篇）主編及多份國際期刊的編輯委員。莊教授2022年獲香港特別行政區政府頒授榮譽勳章(MH), 以表揚其對社會和在推動香港貿易和工業發展的貢獻。莊教授經常和大眾在他的TH-cam頻道“莊教授經濟人生”分享他對全球經濟和個人發展的看法。
莊教授, 謝謝分享 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 認同你的說法, 科技的而且確能為社會帶來進步, 但從投資價值上, 很多時都因為一時的熱潮而雞犬皆升, 熱潮退卻或市場冷靜後, 股價就會大跌, 回歸現實, 最終只剩下幾個強者還留在市場, 2000年科網股熱潮如是, 現在AI熱潮如是, 只有 Winner takes all

I think coding should not be sth for primary school students, but i always believe that AI cannot solve everything. AI learning is based on knowledge that human created. We learn not only for the purpose of finding a job. If everything can be done by AI, we dont even need to learn English, AI can translate immediately.

面向將來, 相信不用太精於要know how的Coding, Programming 的工作 可能轉變成 精於將 user requirements 好精準的說給AI, 利用AI 轉化成程式的工作。要精準的描述user requirement都可算是AI不能取代的技能, 現實係很多 User 都未必清楚瞭解自己遇到的問題是什麼, 需要解決的問題是什麼, 想要的結果是什麼。當然如果對基本coding 的運作有瞭解, 在 應用AI 方面一定有幫助。

Thx Donald , for your question in that video, i have already updated my reply, and I will also state here. The facts that you state should should be from official govt sources and should be correct. Some stocks in China are good as you said. For example, the major 4 state own banks, they make big profts every year, and give out dividends, but the stock prices also keep dropping over past decade. So there should be infomation asymmetry problem where general public may not be able to understand what is going on behind.

Arguments are too weak and conclusions are drawn too hastily. A lot of technologies are accessible to the public, with free/open sourced resources easily found online, and companies still manage to make money from them. The simple argument from "AI will be more and more accessible to the public" to "hence AI must be free and cannot generate profits" ignores so many factors that affect the profitability of a technology. I hope you should be more careful in your reasoning next time.
I am not sayig AI must be free to the public, I am saying AI will be upgraded from time to time, and the old version is difficult to be sold for profit in the long term. I am not saying AI companies cannot make profit, I am saying that our society does not have enough resources to feed the whole AI industry, especially when AI make more people unemployed. So it will be a game of the winner takes all. The value of AI comes from the fact that it serves human being. AI itself has no value if there is no human being, or when it makes everybody unemployed.
