Interesting design. I like how the tracks can get wider, the counterweight moves back automatically, the ram covers, and the HUD. Very useful features. Good job.
Needs to be put into production....Here in the states we do so many concepts of things, and foriegn countries do concepts - and make them happen. We just hold on to a concept for ever.
This is just a design exercise! Some of theese imaginative solutions will see the light, some others no, like cars, motorbikes, etc. You don´t remember excavators of 20 or 30 years ago? They were quite different, weren´t they?
First Doosan will have to fix there noise track problem. i guess the concept is cool. in the next few years will see a machine like this but more realistic made by a different manufacturer .
this is looking good, but in my honest opinion there are way too many moving parts that will eventually will wear and tear from the constant beating an excavator takes. Less moving parts means less maintenance lest cost. Maybe way in the future good concept though
Resembles the SFINX, but more polished presentation. How do you figure "more parts" when the link-belt is a composite rubber tread and the suspension & steering are integrated? Add modern hydraulics or high-density electric drive, and this is feasible. The point of a "concept", though, is to stretch the limit of design, see what the engineers think they can do, and take three or four of the dozens of crazy ideas all the way to the bank. I really do like the built-in outriggers, though...
@struchol the main concept of individual tracks is volvo's idea for their prototype! And removing the cab and controlling it by remote is definatly possible! Search youtube for "Huddig 1260 remote controlled" and you'll see a fully remotecontrolled machine.
Wow. New material- (Rubber). They use that on the minis. I wonder when they came up with this idea for the big machines? They could do it now, not wait for some time in the future....
@songthirtyone i agree with u m8,i was just saying, those machines work in some of the dirtiest conditions and for example those articulated legs of this excavator would suffer for sure.something more robust may be better,if they made a hovering excavator would be awesome;)
All this future stuff looks very good on the computer... I would like to see this machine at work with some mud and rocks. Dust will be a killer for these fancy plastic tools. If you can't fix it with a hammer it won't work in real life.
The expense this thing would rack up in production and repairs couldn't even be payed off by it's work, there is a reason excavators stay simple and cheap.
I know you joking but seriously recycling takes energy, printing takes energy and making energy takes energy so in my opinion the best way to save everything is to design everything to last as long as is phisicly possible. Who knows... maybe in future...
The sliding counterweight is not new technology-rubber tracks? Why? SUrprised their isn't a Latte machine and hair dying station in the cab. Lord help us. Plus it's a Doosan. Not a bad machine but they really don't like the cold.
such control is dangerous...if the machine is performing critical work and suddenly the operator got cornea failure, and the hydraulic system gone hay wire???how????
Isn't manmade things that last forever among the biggest environmental issues we got? And what about all the energy wasted shipping the parts to build a newer more efficient piece of equipment (the bigger ones are usually assembled on site) when you got just about all the materials you need in the old equipment right there already? It would be much more energy efficient to just download the new blueprints and print the new thing yourself using the materials you already got on site.
sites and mines are tough enviroments, this thing looks too soft and easily broken and it looks like it would take a ton of money to fix and and a lot of time which owners wouldn't like.
Great concepts, slick presentation. Looks like it would be not cost competitive .
Comfy seat but only the operator cares. He's not who signs for it.
like machines aren't expensive enough today!
cool but woudn't that articulated joint be prone to damage and wear? well i guess it has to be covered too so dirt wont get in the way

wahnsinn !! einfach genial! hoffendlich bleibt es nicht nur ein concept!
Great concept, would be pretty sweet to operate.
Not even close to being practical in the real world. Too much to go wrong.
projeto ambicioso.fantástico!
Nossa cara muito massa essa maquina .
É so projeto ou ja foi lançada?
bellissimo ma chissà quanto costa in più e la manutenzione
honestly the features of this machine look way more appealing that the volvo but that may just be volvos fault for going cheap on the animation budget
First Doosan will have to fix there noise track problem. i guess the concept is cool.

.
it looks doable and realistic, but im just wondering, how do they manage to get the power from the engine to the tracks?
this is looking good, but in my honest opinion there are way too many moving parts that will eventually will wear and tear from the constant beating an excavator takes. Less moving parts means less maintenance lest cost. Maybe way in the future good concept though
Anyone know what this was rendered in? ProE??Looks very cool machine

COK SAGLIKLI GELMEDI BANA ? YEDEK PARÇA VE ONARIMI ICIN BASLI BASINA YENI BI SEKTOR YENİ SİSTEM ? ALTYAPIYI KURMADAN BUNUN UZERINE YOĞUNLAŞILMAMALI ?
Welcome to the world of a $30,000 operators seat.
Thats some expensive ball bearings***repair cost must be astronomical...Looks like it should be able to do more... Very cool either way.

muito bom, sou operador e sonho em operar uma dessa.
Wow. New material- (Rubber). They use that on the minis. I wonder when they came up with this idea for the big machines? They could do it now, not wait for some time in the future....
with what program you have create this
you're quite welcome to it mate, i'll keep rattling around in me old hitachi's and cats!!!
@songthirtyone i agree with u m8,i was just saying, those machines work in some of the dirtiest conditions and for example those articulated legs of this excavator would suffer for sure.something more robust may be better,if they made a hovering excavator would be awesome;)
VERY COOL...PUT INTO PRODUCTION...Cant wait to see the real thing in action!!
Don't they know that both back and front wheels are better in the shape of back ones, in order to pass over big obstacles?
All this future stuff looks very good on the computer... I would like to see this machine at work with some mud and rocks. Dust will be a killer for these fancy plastic tools. If you can't fix it with a hammer it won't work in real life.
clever and practical
yup, my thoughts exactly, theres no stability for traction
pretty sweet, nice work
Do they want their excavator to win modelling competions ?
amazing, better to have a display here in cagayan de Oro City, Philippines
Do excavators really need the mobility that this suspension and seperated tracks provide? It seems like it would be unused capability.
It would be good in a mining environment
sweet idea but it wouldn't be nice to work on. The hybrid things a bad idea for changing those batts cost so much and would never be in stock.
DOOSAN....pure technology
looks like it could be in a minecraft mod lol
PAHAHAHA
That's the problem of many modern cars and trucks. If we have excavators or cranes like that, the future will be sad.
That's what they said about the 'newfangled' tanks when the Sherman was the golden child of WW2. Look how that turned out...
That i do agree, customers must have priority over the profit of corporations; obsolescence by design is good for no one in the long term.
ball and socket track system is problematic in heavy mining and mud ,how do they keep it from damage during this use?
We can design shit like this, but we can't design a space ship that doesn't require explosive fuel?
What? No cup holder?
@satricon this seems to be a lot more advanced
When driving on muddy ground, dirt will penetrate between caterpillars and wings. A very small distance between them. What do you think?
2018???
Extreme engineering......
The expense this thing would rack up in production and repairs couldn't even be payed off by it's work, there is a reason excavators stay simple and cheap.
that kind machine will spend most of time on service repairs
looks like copying volvos concept...am i right?
You don't fix it, you throw it in the recycler and print a new one :P
CUANDO ESTARA AL MERCADO YA EXISTE O AUN TODAVIA NO
no se si volvo se copio o esque, esta empresa se copio........pero la pregunta es quien saldra pirmero en el mecado=========??
It looks like something out of Metal Gear Solid
yes ..... lets take it out the bush and try it out foresty
Really cool animation, too bad most of the tech concepts would be absolutely useless in any real world use of this machine
its minecraft getting dug up :P
best korea company doosan infracore!
흑표의 파워팩을 제물로 바치고 초간지굴착기를 소환한다
I like the idea of scanning.
steady seat is a cool thing and prevent a problem i have during this years on my back
I know you joking but seriously recycling takes energy, printing takes energy and making energy takes energy so in my opinion the best way to save everything is to design everything to last as long as is phisicly possible. Who knows... maybe in future...
3:22 Starcraft Siege Tank, deploying into Siege Mode.
I need to craft that in minecraft.
what kimatsus and deeres dont get any love?
Good!!
doosan is the best
Yes, they are but they are also quite difficult to make.
Volvo heula ah sabelas taun yg lalu
who had the desin first
Just how necessary is the ability to change the damn color of the window?
Master Asia a lot
@satricon Only thing that looks similar to Volvo is the quad track design.
Siege Mode at 3:25 No upgrades at machine shop required.
Knockoff from Volvo.
richie thach it does not look like a Volvo type excavator
this is MOD for minecraft ?
Better than Volvo!
The sliding counterweight is not new technology-rubber tracks? Why? SUrprised their isn't a Latte machine and hair dying station in the cab. Lord help us. Plus it's a Doosan. Not a bad machine but they really don't like the cold.
Pfff, more moving parts and more sensors mean ... more problems in the field (field = dust and shocks)
LOL who needs a sliding door in a excavator
L
ma vaff
Demolition with this 😂 im fucking crying
wow just wow!
would be a cool machine with a harvesting head...
@satricon volvo's construction machines are made in korea :)
such control is dangerous...if the machine is performing critical work and suddenly the operator got cornea failure, and the hydraulic system gone hay wire???how????
Volvo is already doing this, the Volvo sphinx
Tai Shane how much is it gonna cost more than USA under the next 100 years
transparent screen, first thing to get broken and need thousands to replace with hours of downtime.
@ceincicial
LOL!
@jaxdodge lol agreed ...

The Modern technology Of Korea
You should try and make the equipment you already make better.
and it can shoot nukes right?^^
should last about 3 hours before ya have to call the fitter...
How much will be electric - crawler HV electric motors?, (regenerative) electric swing motor? electric hydraulic pump motor?
Isn't manmade things that last forever among the biggest environmental issues we got?

Still more wishful thinking. "change the color of the windows"?
sites and mines are tough enviroments, this thing looks too soft and easily broken and it looks like it would take a ton of money to fix and and a lot of time which owners wouldn't like.
@tomk8665442tk ha. thats what they said about jets in the 1940's, and the car, and alot of other things but we still use them WAY to much doen't we?
ill run it, you can have the old one ill take this shit
