Tamara, Happy Birthday to you and thank you for sharing such a beautiful day in your life. I'd like to share a moment of my life with you. I live in Michigan. FYI there is a Northern part to Michigan that we call "The Upper Peninsula." It is very rural with only a few cities far and few between. I, like you, have an affinity for the rural areas. Although I do not live in that Upper Peninsula, indeed I live very near the Southern border with Ohio, my Grand Father bought a parcel of "swamp" North of Marquette about 2km from Lake Superior in a very isolated place, way way back, so I have spent a lot of time there. The area looks a lot like your drone shots, and there are roads, 2 tracks and trails that look like the ones you were motorvating down with your side by side. I am 72 this year and have a Son a little older than you, and he does not share the love I have for the outdoors so I am becoming stuck indoors more and more. These days many young people do not care to go anywhere except "downtown" in their area. I have no interest in videos of city life. But, yours are Beautiful young lady! I believe you are pure and wholesome, and that's really saying something these days. It seems like everywhere you go you see young people with their noses literally stuck to the screen of their phone. And if they have a conversation with someone they usually have to refer to their phone to show something that someone else captured. When you said you love your country, I can understand your feelings exactly. Being outdoors oriented, having hunted trapped and fished since my very early life, I can't even fathom living in a city and spending all of my time there. Ditto looking at my phone to see what someone else has captured. Don't take this wrong, you have a special talent to show your world which I identify with. Just to give you a glimpse of how old I am, in 1975 my father asked me to go with him 1,400 km north of Detroit, Michigan, into Ontario Canada to help build a fishing lodge. I had the time, so I did it. If you would, please google up a town in Ontario called LongLac, and then pan due East about 40km to a lake named Pagwachuan. In 1975 I, my brother and best friend built a fishing Lodge on the East end of Pagwachuan Lake where it narrows befor the next little lake. At that time there was only a dirt road that ran off the Trans Canadian Highway the 8 km or so south to the lake. Basically it was only an access to the lake. We had all of the materials to build the Lodge delivered to a bare spot on the ground at the lake near the end of the access road. There was only a foot path thru the bush around the lake to our little spot, so every stitch of material had to be transported by water about 400 meters across a tiny bay in a 3-1/2 meter aluminum boat. The ''Bush" was unforgiving with trees that were easily 30 meters tall to their first limbs. We had to clear the area where we built the Lodge and it was uphill from the lake about 100 meters. It took us 9 days to build the "deck" that the rest of the building was built on.(an "A" frame) That night we pitched our tent on the deck and spent the first night on a level spot since we got there. By the 12th or 13th day reinforcements showed up and we got the rest of the building done by day 18. It was the most wilderness experience I have ever had. Anyway, I know you have the same kind of wilderness, so I relate. HBD and Thnx again. ben/ michigan
