    I lost my home because of the interest rate hikes. My wife and I sold everything and we moved to Turkey to survive retirement. We don't speak Turkish but we study the language. We just need to survive 5 years until I receive my pension. By that time I will have received Turkish citizenship. We will not be rich but we will eat every day and have a roof over our heads. It sounds bizarre but we are economic refugees from Canada.

    Trudeau will be gone shortly, Canada is polarizing to conservative in a big way. I wouldn't buy anything in Canada at the moment way too overpriced. You'll probably see Pierre win and he'll bring back a lot of investment. Canada has a lot going for it in terms of natural resources and there are still some hard working men left, not a lot though. Canadian women will keep being single moms or cat ladies, so immigration is going to keep going. Real estate will correct but not crash, everyone is so dramatic saying Canadian real estate is going to crash, it's not going to crash, too much demand. The whole narrative you'll own nothing and be happy, a housing crash means an entry point for a lot of people living at home and saving, I bought my first house in 2009 at a sweet discount while living at home. For people to own nothing, it would be the opposite, prices have to keep going higher. I know a lot of big developers with deep pockets, they are going full steam ahead. I'm building another rental here right now too, I'm loving being able to get trades at a discount right now, and they show up! That said, I am getting residency in another country, likely Mexico or El Salvador because I'm 40, single, well off, and looking to start a family. Every single Canadian women age 25-35 I have dated is unfit for marriage, not traditional, many on psyche meds, promiscuous, domineering, many infertile, a lot of man haters, tons of obesity, most are woke and ultra liberal f-minist types, and just very combative and difficult to deal with. Gotta go elsewhere to get those traditional non-medicated women and live a traditional life.

    • @naturalhealingmexico
      @naturalhealingmexico 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Go to Salvador then, here in Mexico the left communist agenda it's getting to the same point as the current Canadian society.... Yes, we have full time feminist, abortion, transexual women seems to be replacing the natural woman in modern Mexican society, here too everything it's increasing in price, due to this arriving of immigrants, in fact we are facing the same dilema as Canadians, we don't want more "gringos" that come to live here and because of them everything it's expensive: food, rent, etc... just as Canadians don't want indians or Arabs...

    As a Canadian.... and if for no other reason than being realistic in understanding your 'freedoms' as a Canadian ?
    it is absolutely critical for you to begin viewing the currently distorted Canadian Real Estate valuations....
    as an absolutely massive "store" of future cpi inflation banked away in Canadian Big Bank Mortgage Portfolios as asset "chattel" valuations....
    that MUST be downloaded upon you in lower standards of living over time ..... as DEBT denominated slaves who are truly only "free" to be no more than good little consumers paying cradle to grave DEBT !
    It's really simple.....
    either that massive "store" of future cpi inflation in Bank "chattels" is servicied by you in maintenance of those valuations by working harder for less....
    or,
    the 'investor' ruling class accept LOSSES by your NON-participation in the majority by refusing to Pay(rents/car payments/Loans) and on and on into a correction/crash now highly likely regardless.

    Stephen Harper provided the Freedom for pensioners to leave vis a vis the TFSA. Take your CPP and OAS…if that’s all you have it’s tax free as you’re under the personal exemption. Take from your TFSA another thousand or more depending how good of invested you are. You can live very well in Latin America on a couple thousand a month. A couple would have 4 plus a month as a minimum. You’d live very well anywhere in Latin America. Retain Canadian tax residency and live wherever you want.

      Territorial Tax regimes all thru Latin America so you won’t pay on your Canadian income. Income is under personal exemption in Canada so…

But living without paying any taxes, having a lower cost of living and higher standard of living is hard to beat. And over the last few years, it's pretty clear the liberals have their priorities twisted and are focused on mass immigration and woke policies over basic needs of Canadians. This has consequently started to destroy the country. Malaysia followed sharia law to almost majority extent. In an accident if you are with a Malaysia Muslim in court, if the Malaysian Muslim says you committed blasphemy, you will either be give death or life sentence or atleast a long prison sentence… they also force people to adopt one of the or approved religions. Initially they will let immigrants in but in future your kids will fall in love with 90% Muslim kids in Malaysia and your kid may have to wear hijab or give up certain freedoms as well as fast for Ramadan and attend mosque every Friday. By choosing Malaysia you are deciding your child a future to be controlled by Islamic laws… please remove Malaysia form your list.
