For Monogatari, based on MAL numbers of members only (so number of people having this anime in their watchlist), the first "season" has 1.4 million members, most "seasons" has more than 400k members and the second to last "season" has 200k members still, in terms of numbers if we compare to some shows this season, Tower of God S2 has 186k members on MAL, Alya 252k and Oshi no Ko 304k and for continuing series, Detective Conan has 354k, Slime 322k, My Hero Academia S7 285k, Spice and Wolf remake 187k.
for monogatari, the problem with a 10 seasons anime is that people need to watch all previous seasons to keep up with the new one, so it's normal if the show isn't hyped up. this monster season still at peak tho
In my opinion, Monogatari is on the same level as Monster or Legend of Galactic Heroes, people who started watching anime a long time ago and are veterans now respect these shows and put them in a god tier, but you can't deny that these shows are hard to understand for the average consumer. Newcomers would probably watch something hot that is currently airing, or something that is easy to understand but still considered a great show, like FMAB or Death Note.
I think the monogatari thing is mostly people who don't like/understand will just stop watching it midway and have "no rights" to judge it without finishing it and the rest who like it will just keep complimenting the show
the first episode of pseudo harem i was cringing at the protag but then later on when he starts making jokes and puns i would use aswell i stated to relaed tot him a bit, allso guess this video was recorded before mr beast went up in flames, and sadly my personal favorite series due to it being a shorter serries isn't included here, The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies its like a wholesome version of gushing over magical girls it allso has some pretty good animation
I saw a funny video the other day of a guy doing a tierlist of other people's tierlists of the tiers, and so I gotta say this videos tierlist goes in C tier because it doesn't have isekai shikkaku on it lol.
For monogatari for me it's like reading those awards winning novels. YES the "novel" is really good among people who love to read that kind of book but if u give normies to read it, they'll freaking hate it. Not because the story is bad, but it just too complex for ordinary people to read or even understand it as it use a lot of high vocabulary words. Also Monogatari, it helps me a lot to improve my reading comprehension skills ngl lol. Everything especially the subtitle is really fast and not even making any sense sometimes if u missed a sec. Kinda like reading those Grisha trilogy novel
In my opinion Dragon Ball is number one but since it is a new anime then JJK is number one only because Yuji and Gojo are such strong characters that they will destroy all the weak characters shown in this video and Dragon Ball is anime number 1 because Goku and Vegeta will cover everything from other animes mercilessly

Monogatari was still very popular among anime community. But the show already reached the 10th season so the viewership won't be as high.
