Finally the Air4 coverage I waited for! I was pleasantly suprised on the Air4 Lite's mic quality, an upgrade over the Deluxe HS I'm currently rocking while the Air4 sounded too bassy and a bit garbled. I think you should follow up your sound test of the Air4 with a device that supports AptX Lossless, if you could secure one in the future.
are you sure the 4 lite is better than hs deluxe for CALLS ? they seem identical in this test....but as you have both would you please confirm if indoor and outdoor what is better ?! any detailed input is appreciated !
Been waiting for this one. Love my semi in ear ear buds. Bought the Truefree T3 as a holdout pair to replace my failed SoundPeats TrueAir 2 (dead battery on left bud). From your review though, they may have to hold me out until the TrueAir 5s 😂
i will mostly use for team meeting or zoom and occasionally for music. from the mic test it seems that air3 hs and air 4 has better sound quality. might go for air 3hs for overall usage.

I bought these just because my phone has aptx lossless and there are so few lossless earbuds and Bose still hasn't hasn't given the QC2'S the lossless they promised, which was 50% of the reason i got them. I haven't used a semi in earbud in years, it's a nice change
May I suggest the classical music eq in combination with the anc on? It won’t make them perfect but bring the treble and mids out pretty nice. I just got my hand on a pair of these the other day, I think they’re low key the best gaming buds atm. I grabbed them for my rog ally, the white matches the ally perfect, latency is super low and the semi-in ear design makes them incredibly comfortable for long wear

The Air 4 is probably like my Samsung Galaxy buds live which is also an open style earbud, so with the anc on it don't block to much noise (some) but does increase the sound and hugely increases the bass. For that reason The lives have become my favorite earbuds for the fact I can hear my surroundings and still and a party in my ears. Could these be a similar experience? Do the get loud enough with anc on?

Just got the air4, great review by the way. with anc on (which is a must) they are great. however, there is one thing that's bothering me. with anc on, in the right ear, i can hear what sounds like a low level wind noise. with anc on and nothing playing, i can hear this noise, but even when i'm listening to podcasts, i can still hear it. i've tried flipping the earbuds (in case it was an issue with my ear) and it's for sure just the right bud. have you noticed any sound like this with anc on?

The Air 3 have it? Because I had a pair of Air 3 deluxe HS and when i went jogging for over 30 minutes they would start dropping out. Two pairs in fact both same problem. I thought it must have been from sweaty ears.@@pickyaudio
Agree with this after having tried the Air 4 and returning them. I felt the extra bass, at least for me, wasn't enough to displace my Air3 HS, as the HS did everything else better. I also found the Air4 had quite a bit of hiss and random circuitry related noises with noise cancelling on. I also experienced some random bluetooth disconnects. One thing they did do better is feel a little more comfy in my ear compared to the HS.

Hm interesting! I have the air 3 deluxe hs which have the best sound quality I ever experienced on earbuds but I thought the air 4 would have noise cancellation but apparently they don’t have it…. For me personally, I'm not very interested in active noise cancellation. The technology itself has altered the expressive qualities of some music, so I opted for the Air4 Lite. However, if I were to choose again, I might go for the Air3. Upon closer examination of the headphone drivers, the Air3 boasts a larger size. I don't doubt the Air4 Lite's analytical capabilities, but do you really enjoy headphones that emphasize only analytical prowess? It's not the sound profile I prefer; the sound tends to be relatively sharp, and without EQ intervention, it can be quite unbearable. Not to mention the bass, where it's challenging to appreciate the impact, and the midrange is overly pronounced. Overall, it lacks that warm feeling and is prone to auditory fatigue. Additionally, the headphones have some inherent background noise. Perhaps not something you'll hear frequently, but it does exist. If not intervened by EQ adjustments, the Air4 Lite is essentially unusable for me, at least that's how it appears. I've tried it with two Android phones and an iPhone. The best experience was on the LG G7, but keep in mind that I had already enabled the bass boost and made adjustments within the app. Additionally, I made similar adjustments to the phone's built-in EQ and finally fine-tuned the EQ in Spotify to achieve a relatively better result. On the iPhone, the performance was mediocre. The issue is not with clarity but primarily lies in the weak bass, overall dry sound, and piercing midrange.
How would you compare Air 4 base with NO ANC vs Air 3 base. Air 3 sound ideal for me but battery does not last one session for me, so using ANC all the time is not an option.

Engine 4 not even close. I know they cost more, but man the sound quality is insane. And if you eq the bass and treble on the eq, I mean seriously I used to like h1 but these make h1 sound bad after listening to them back to back

Personally I could give two shits about anc or transparency mode, my focus when I want my earbuds is sound quality, battery life, multi point connection and comfort. Now the stock eartips sucked for me and I bought an expensive brand on amazon which was worth it but every ear is different. In terms of sound quality and battery life thoo. Those buds are second to none. Sure airpods 2 pro sound better someone might argue, havent heard airpods 2 pro so cant say that for certain but its hard to imagine for me a bud sounding much better than these, and even if other buds can for 5 hours not good enough for me. Engine 4 have 12.5 hours of battery life. And 43 with the case

No-one is actually noting that the Air 4s have 13mm membrane compared 10 14.2mm of Air 3? The sound quality should be distinctively worse in bass area!?
The Air3 mic comparison didn't seem honest here. In fact, in your previous videos you showed them clearly with higher volume. And when we forget the volume and look only at the noise reduction, it's clear the Air3 does the same good noise reduction. So it seems the low volume is placed there on purpose to make the Air3 look bad. Not honest. It has disappointed me.
Sorry bro but I dissagree with you about codecs and affecting sound quality because every single type of codec has its own resolution and sound color ..of corse its not big difference but you can hear that especially on higher volume

That wouldn't be necessary. I only detect a small change in sound detail between SBC and LDAC. Sound signature is still exactly the same

I have tested the buds live ANC and they did block out some noise. They're a solid semi in ear bud!

Now the stock eartips sucked for me and I bought an expensive brand on amazon which was worth it but every ear is different. In terms of sound quality and battery life thoo. Those buds are second to none. Sure airpods 2 pro sound better someone might argue, havent heard airpods 2 pro so cant say that for certain but its hard to imagine for me a bud sounding much better than these, and even if other buds can for 5 hours not good enough for me. Engine 4 have 12.5 hours of battery life. And 43 with the case
hi i have air3 and it lacks clarity specially upper end. Ordered air4 and apperently it was a mistake and only good option is air3 deluxe hs

Cannot agree more regarding the anc mode on air 4. Without anc mode they sound very bad.
The air 3 deluxe hs seems quite adequate in terms of overall sound quality and bass. On the other hand, I want to switch to a higher model, but air 4 does not support ldac, instead there is snapdragon aptx, but I do not know if this will replace hs 3, I am also a bass liked.air4 lite also has ldac support, but the bass is probably the worst among these 3 models.Which one do you think I should buy among the air3 delux hs air4 air 4 lite? Hey mate what do you think of the JBL Tune Flex compared to most (inc this video) Bit scared of the tips going into the canal which is what drew me to the JBL Tune Flex and this vid… I’ve got an apple iPhone but can’t afford the AirPods and their ridiculous prices! No-one is actually noting that the Air 4s have 13mm membrane compared 10 14.2mm of Air 3? The sound quality should be distinctively worse in bass area!?

The Air3 mic comparison didn't seem honest here. In fact, in your previous videos you showed them clearly with higher volume. And when we forget the volume and look only at the noise reduction, it's clear the Air3 does the same good noise reduction. So it seems the low volume is placed there on purpose to make the Air3 look bad. Not honest. It has disappointed me.

Sorry bro but I dissagree with you about codecs and affecting sound quality because every single type of codec has its own resolution and sound color ..of corse its not big difference but you can hear that especially on higher volume
