I have the D3 and with the current update it comes with : no go lines, eco and turbo mode. About the filter, I just bought the better filter of Amazon and it works really good.
The mapping and no go capabilities are perfect🌼 Had some issues with squeaky wheels but tech support is excellent and they followed up to make sure it is working properly.
I would like to see a head to head comparison with the D7 vs. the older Botvac Connected. Only 1 or 2 more options with the D7, but how about performance? You can save $150 with the older version. I have owned a D5 for 3.5 years and it has broken down 4 times and the 4th go around it was done for good, per what SquareTrade informed me on. SquareTrade is reimbursing me for the full retail price. Buying a Protection Plan is a must have!

The D5 received an update that added turbo/quiet and multiple floor mapping.
you should test the botvac connected airflow since the blower motor rpms spins a bit faster than all d series botvac

should tested my neato d7 since i upgraded the vacuum motor and modified the brush roll, i notice it blows more air than the original
is there a difference in updating procedure between the vacuums? is it all OTA?
Yes I believe they are are updated OTA

No, botvac connected have it as well. But D7 also have boundary settings on the map. Thats the difference.
