A belated Merry Christmas and Happy 2025 Melanie! I really appreciate all of the time you put into your content and feel like you have really grown as a candle/home fragrance reviewer. Your home fragrance videos are definitely my go-to resource for candle performance and whatnot. 😊 On a much more personal note, your channel as really helped me get through these last few years, first without my Mom and even more without my Dad since last year. I turned 40 in November, and I always thought I would have my parents around for a lot longer and it's taking a lot of inner strength and adjustment to navigate my new reality. I just want you to know that your channel has really helped get me through these last 7+ years. 😊🙏👐 On Christmas Eve, I burned Bath & Body Works The Perfect Christmas during the day, and switched to Kringle Holiday (red mercury glass) at night. I think it has a bayberry note even though it is not listed. On Christmas Day I burned Kringle Away in a Manger, Christmas Stroll (amazing), and NEST Holiday. I remember BBW Sweet Cranberry Pie, but to me, it smelled pretty much just like their Blueberry Pie. I think it came out for just one season in 2020 and BBW hasn't re-released it since. Unfortunately, mine got really sooty and the jar got overly hot and started to crack, even though the wicks were not too close to the glass, and I had to put it in a bag and toss it. I will definitely carry some evergreen tree scents into January, such as Kringle Snow Capped Fraser or Juniper & Laurel and Blue Spruce, but once we get into February, unless it's really cold and snowy, I start to incorporate more amber-y/perfume-y/floral scents into my rotation. Hoping I can find a BBW Marshmallow Fireside (in the White Barn core packaging). I want to pick up another Frosted Forest when I go check out the SAS today or tomorrow. Sorry for the long comment, there's always a lot I want to say! ☺
I am so sorry for your loss. It's amazing you have found strength through this. Losing parents at a young age is not easy. I really appreciated you letting me know a little more about you and I am so glad you are here! Thanks for all your weekly videos, you are so generous in sharing your current burns/melts/candle lamps, it always inspires me even though I can't do that since my house is smaller and I'm one person. I have been burning Vintage Pomander alongside Kringle pine scents like Christmas Stroll and Christmas, and the pomander scent is so complementary and adds a warmth. I wanted to report that you inspired me to put up a tree and decorate this year. I couldn't do it last year, the first Christmas without my husband and both of my parents, but I was ok this year and in fact, felt very positive and gemutlich. I have a white tree which is really beautiful and I love it, so happy memories. This is a big step. Wishing you and your family as well as Alf and Penny a very happy 2025, all good things your way.
Melanie, great video. I, too, just finished up a BBW Sweet Cranberry Pie today! The vessel was beautiful as it burned down which was a nice surprise. I think I have one more of this fragrance tucked away, hopefully I do because I really enjoyed it. So glad you had a peaceful and laid-back holiday with your Mom and family. Hi Melanie! Happy New Year! Just a suggestion and or recommendation of what to do after Christmas,I put out Winter decor next. It’s beautiful trees and deer and some Winter scentsy warmers. It makes me not dread taking down the Christmas decor because I know what’s coming next and it looks so clean and refreshing for a new start to the year. One way to maybe not feel so sad after Christmas 🤷♀️😉
Great idea! I keep snowmen out with the hope I will get more snow but never do. 😂 I also switch from gingerbread, eggnog, and spice to candy cane, sugary white gourmands, and red velvet cake.
@ Yes! I definitely switch my melting theme also to a more winter themed I love melting Palo and tree scents and certain bakery scents like hazelnut frosting, cinnamon roll scents and toasted marshmallow! It makes me excited for the winter season.
I love that idea! That makes so much sense! I just don't feel like I have any winter decor tho. Most winter decor would probably remind me of Christmas too haha! I do however like a nice reset. I want to focus a bit more on my year round decor this year. I mostly like my set up but there are things I have been wanting to change around so I should just put my energy into that. Christmas will be here soon enough already 🤣
Yes! There are actually a lot of people like you, but I think us "smack you in the face" candle people are just louder haha! Subtle candles can be enjoyable too!

Enjoyed a quiet, drama-free Christmas. 😊 (Oven has been broken; holiday meals & baked treats are delayed-maybe to next year.) Burns for Christmas week: Kringle Aurum & Evergreen, Tinsel Thyme, Ginger Snow Angel (2022 Returning Favorite), Reserve Orange, and Tea Time. (I ordered more Cypress & Cinnamon and Frosted Spice to continue enjoying for Winter home fragrance.) Also enjoying BBW Cinnamon Spiced Vanilla, White Pumpkin, & beloved Cozy Sunday Night. I’m researching other soy candles made in USA that aren’t overpriced & low performers. I’ll share if I find anything helpful. Wishing you a speedy recovery. excited to see your candle/home fragrance budget video! I don't have a set $$$ but I probably should... that would probably help weed out the random things we toss into our cart over the tried and true scents we love. My last candle purchase was last winter but that doesn't mean the scentsy and some vendor wax have stopped but I did a better job than the year prior. I love Mandarin moon - I hate that I didn't club that one. I never tried toasted apple butter - sounds yummy! Hope you feel 100% soon. Last christmas I was sick as a dog and I was miserable for about a whole week.

Love BBW Twisted Peppermint. I love the body spray too. I bought the candle last year but I switched to Country Candle Candy Cane Cashmere and Holiday Candy Cane this year. They are both so good.

She was lost, so my husband and I walked her home 😂. My husband says "you probably forgot to lock the door after getting a box of candles" psshh whatever...(he's probably not wrong) 😂
I’m so glad you had a great holiday, I plan on lighting both of my vintage pomanders on New Year’s Day and that champagne fragrance that just came out for Kringle in my bedroom. Starting the new year with some fresh burns, I’ve been burning through so many candles that have been half burned in my collection that are driving me crazy because I hate coming into the new year with already burned candles. That sort of one of my goals for this year.Caramel Sundays is having a restock on January 26, and there are some fragrances that sound amazing. I’ll be participating. You should definitely check them out.
Scentsy merry wonderland was almost headache inducing for me. It was way too sting for the first few hours. I still have a BBW cranberry pure candle so I wonder how strong it is now. I’ll have to try it soon. I’m also continuing my wax and candle low buy next year.
I'm with you! The calmer holidays are the best. My good friend prefers light candles, thinking most are too overwhelming. If I feel a candle is a dud, I let her know because she'll probably like it. I either take down Christmas on New Year's Day or Little Christmas (Jan 6). It depends on my mood, but it must be one of those days. Cinnamon Spiced Vanilla was Cinnamon Sugared Donut. I still always call it that. I hate change lol. Actually the hearth candles at $250 are financially worth it. If getting 4 seasons out of one, burning 1/4 a year, that's just a bit over $60 a season. A small one wick Nest which lasts only like a week is $50. Enjoy your weekend!
I was burning Sleigh Ride from Homeworx on Christmas Eve and day and the burn was good but it was sooooo light! Now I’m burning Crushed Candy Cane from BBW and it’s soo good!
My husband loves pecan pie too. I just don’t see the appeal. I agree, it looks gross. But my husband just gobbles them up. At least he knows by now to not offer me any 😂
Saying this in a kind way😊, I know that it is a lot of work, but it is so hard to go back and find a candle that you were speaking of that I am interested in later in the video. It would be nice to have the candles that you speak of labeled somewhere by name and brand so we could refer back and hopefully find what we’re looking for if you don’t wish to link the specific candles(which I understand to be a bit of trouble for you)
