    I'll save everyone 6 minutes: THIS VIDEO JUST TELLS YOU TO FORMAT THE CARD.
    Why waste 6 minutes of our time giving us 5 seconds of information?

    • @1230986666
      @1230986666 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The real solution is to lock your SD card before you read it on your Macbook, because OS X creates .DS_Store and other metadata files, and the bright minds at Fuji didn't design a camera that can handle that. That will be my last Fujifilm camera.

      I didn't think people would watch these videos. they are too long and pointless but thank you for being kind. the xt1 is loved by all fuji enthusiasts. seriously, they say something is magical about that particular sensor. keep playing with it!!

    • @wkpad1
      @wkpad1 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@jimmycphoto I agree, XT1 paired with 35/1.4 is filmic and has orangish tint to the images that i love. I tried several newer fuji bodies and lenses but they were different and were focused more on sharpness.
      BTW, videos like these are very helpful, i searched several forums and read for hours to find a remedy but none of those suggestions helped

      @wkpad1 how interesting! how that hue is like that for you. yes people are obsessed with sharpness, and how fast it could be. it does sacrifice character it seems!

    Hi Jimmy, your video really helped me, especially by clearly walking through from 2:45 because it confirmed that you were having the same problem as me (even on my different Fuji). I have no idea what it meant to "just format the card", so the walkthru was great. Idk why some ppl are being rude/impatient in the comments. I think your vlogging style is fun and welcoming, which is what I like about TH-cam! Now that my memory card is okay, I can start filming my time lapse project. :D Thanks, have a nice day with your dogs.

    I have encountered once. This also happens if you change the picture orientation on the computer. The ones that you changed will display as "error" and others will still be fine to review on camera. I think it only happens to the pictures that you modified on the computer.

    • @jimmycphoto
      @jimmycphoto  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for pointing that out. I think I have messed with the orientation on the comp once or twice, so that makes sense.

    Great video. i have an old fuji finepix s8400 with a card error message. i followed all the tips in this video but nothing worked. Do you know of anything specific that I need to do for this model camera. Been searching the internet for days cant find anything helpful. I did buy a new card and it still gives me the error message.

    • @jimmycphoto
      @jimmycphoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      oof sorry.. this video is not good. I did not think people would watch it. hm so a new card wouldn't work, would formatting the cameras settings from scratch be a possible solution? we just have to narrow things down. I would detach the lens and work with that alone if it is that type of camera. and then check to see firmware on Google if your body and lens are up to date after resetting your body. stick with the new card for now. what brand, and class speed is the card?

    Thanks for the video....I was worried about that. It happened to me too on my XT-1. I now am in the habit of downloading my card files to my computer without making any adjustments/changes, then safely removing the card and putting the card back into my camera. I then work with the files which are now on my computer.

    I need your help lol...I was so pissed off... I'm trying to shoot a 4k video sunset in 4k on my xt3 like I always do with my sony a7rii....23.9 FPS all intra I've got 500 GB worth of SD cards 15 minutes into the film i get a pop up screen saying "storing"... then it says "write error"... first of all I never told it to store after 15 minutes, I was intending it to go to the full 30 minutes, and second of all I don't know what the hell the "write error" was ...two brand new Lexar Professional 1667x 256GB SDXC UHS-II/U3 V60 Memory Cards ...brand new Fuji xt3 .....did I miss a setting or something? . I was in movie mode I was in aperture priority and it just stops 15 minutes in to store.... very frustrating

    • @jimmycphoto

      yipes.. im so sorry. sometimes mune prematurely stops recording too. what kind of card do you use? is it the kind fuji recommends? are you using the original fuji battery? is your screen open to maximize airflow? sometimes the card fills up to the setting capacity. mine does this. not that the whole card fills up.. it just can only record a certain amount.. still havent figured this out yet. ive had similar issues. im sorry i dont quite know. i changed the recording quality and it seemed to have helped and use the real batter as well. but if im not careful, it will stop prematurely for other reasons.

    • @jimmycphoto
      @jimmycphoto  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      also, i dont record in 4k anymore because.. the person watching also has to have 4k capabilities.. try an hd setting to see if it works..

    • @1230986666
      @1230986666 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lock your SD card before you read it on your machine. The metadata files (.DS_Store for example) your computer writes on the card don't play well with Fuji cameras. The geniuses at Fuji apparently never considered people would use their cameras with a Mac.
