You could try a deck combining dark necrofear and the archfiend spellcard falling down, as well as jowls of dark demise (also fiend) and other brainwash cards to build a brainwash-fiend-control-deck
You're right, mask of darkness would fit in very well. Did not think about that option. Never associated it with its fiend type, only with its recycle function
Hey, quick question if you don't mind me asking. Which version of the errata'd Necrofear is used in general goat matches? I saw that both the version that specifies it being in a monster zone for its effect to proc, and the one that does not specify this existed during the same format at different times.
My guess is that the newest version would be applied. If I am correct that would be the dark beginning 2 erratum, which states that dark necrofear has to be destroyed in the monster zone. I have to admit I had to look that up 😅
@@TheRetroExpert Hey, thanks for the reply. I appreciate it. I ran into the issue of not being able to find this clarification anywhere regarding what people do in modern goat format matches. I imagine since it's not a heavily played card, and the situation where the errata would matter doesn't come up much, this discussion hasn't taken place often enough to find it anywhere. I think I'll definitely go with the DB2 erratum, but I can't help but want the card to have more potential utility by adhering to what it was at the beginning of the format :(
@@ChadKing69 The question wasn't about new modern Erratas, it was about the 2 erratas (Master Collection Volume 1 and Dark Beginning 2) that existed during the given format time period. Since DB2 came out in July 2005, this was relevant to me because I saw people use both April and August as a guideline for card releases/text changes, of which the DB2 errata falls in the middle of the given months. There was no confusion on what goat format is 😄
@@gleeperz i have check the 4 errata in dark begining 2 realease in July 22, 2005, and the end of goat format is SJC Indianapolis - August 2005. ill be the first happy to play with the first errata i would have been stronger... but it dont work.
Yes, giant germ necrofear was one of my favorite combos
Love your decks btw!!!

Kuriboh is absolutely underrated in goat. I often face an opponent who pulls out a piercing monster out of nowhere. 😂
I might have missed it but since you have 2 assailants and 3 judgments, why not a couple of mask of darkness?

-1 kuriboh, -1 newdoria, perhaps? or maybe drop one of the archfiend soldiers instead
@@TheRetroExpert Ah Ok verstehe. Danke dir 👍

@duck New erratas don’t apply to Goat bc Goat Format is a format set in time.
