There is only a tiny space between the metal cover and the carb opening, there’s no good angle to get all the fuel down the carb, some passes through. Manually priming the saw is faster and easier on man and machine, especially when priming the carb from bone dry. The CHOKE... is not necessary. You’re absolutely right. During the making of this video, I was going through some heavy duty chemo and barely had the strength to walk across the garage without needing a nap half way through. Resurrecting the saw was a cathartic effort to stave off the stir craziness and keep my mind focused. Video, audio, production quality and my voice were all sub par. The question is, did you glean any useful tidbits of information from the video despite the poor quality? If so, then it was worth the effort.
Your oil can is squirting into the air box not the carb....that black button is the CHOKE...try it....
