1 small change I normally do with the upper floor lockers is that I lock them and place horizontal shutters and metal bars instead of the metal window so if I get raided, they will have to break everything and I will still be able to access the locker without picking up the windows.
You should do a tour/overview of the base in the beginning of the video. It makes it easier to tell if we want to build it or not

FINALLY A BASE THAT I CAN ACTUALLY BUILD. all the other ones are super complicated, with wide gaps, bunkers and all the other stuff i dont need. this is the only simple one i can acutally manage. thanks

Some people might hate the simplicity of this base but for someone that's learning how to build bases for the first time this was an amazing base. Instead of the frames going up to shooting floor I replaced them with funnel walls it's perfect🤞🏽
Even for a simple base it's really mid if you ask me. Not bad but there are so many better basses

The way you did thr gatehouses with the drip boxes in the roof makes so much sense that I'm upset i didn't think of it. Nice work.
Very solid for a small team group, everything is functional and fits together nicely. The only thing I would suggest is perhaps simplifying the shooting floor and roof a bit to cut back on build cost.
As a solo who likes decent size bases this is perfect

Not bad base but no space for large battery unless you replace a locker and a large battery can only power 10 turrets but you put 12 therefor I would recommend to get rid of a gate house somehow to get rid of the 2 turrets that you can’t power unless you put a small battery extra resources. Overall 8.3/10 would recommend 👍
Been making this base for the past 2 wipes and never got fully raided by big teams yet absolutely amazing but I wish u showed us how to do the electrical stuff for turrets I had to just wing it but worked out great just added 2 wind turbines and put the battery’s at the airlock on roof to save space in the base
Built this exact base and it ended up getting offlined the first night. When i tried to disconnect the outer tc's to place main tc back i found out i used 1 wall instead of 2 halfwalls on the connecting wall to gate. Had to molly all 3 outer tcs out just to place main and then place outers back again.
It's a pretty good build IMO.
This was my most enjoyable build I've ever completed thank you! Unfortunately I got offlined the first night but the little time I had it I absolutely loved it.. thanks again

This is BY FAR the best duo I’ve EVER SEEN, can get it built within three or four some days, very efficient, very nice, and it just looks super cool.
3 or 4 days on a 2x I can have it built a couple hours after wipe

@@m.t9393I’m a bit of a noobie to rust but do blueprints reset on vanilla wipes? I could understand farming for everything needed for the base but while getting blueprints for everything else? Seems a bit much. Cheers.

Watch out! If you are going to let the base on the first two stages, they could bring down your upper wall and enter your base only with pickaxes and some satchels. Try closing it up first with a square hatch frame and put it to at least be safe. Really good base as it stands and on the develop.

Idea: add wall frame towers above the gatehouses to put wind turbines on, should line up perfectly with the outwards facing roofs, could even do a M2 Box with bed and large box for a roof spawn and put the turbine on top
I changed it a bit instead of door frames for peek downs i changed them to walls worked great 🤘🤘Love the video mate 🤜🤛
Not my first pick of the draft but I’ll use it next monthly wipe after the duo volcano design-I’m a solo with 20k hours and find it better to have more room for stuff I always overfill

I'm testing this build as a duo on xbox. Building it as we are speaking. Going to stress test it too. Will hopefully return to update with results. Doing a monthly server.

@has2give so it actually worked very well and stored a ton of loot. Was an expensive and confusing offline taid for the ones that did offline us. Made for easy compounding too. We actually ended up being a 4 man living out of this base but was primarily a 2 man operation. Preaty cheap to build and easy to upkeep. 7/10 would build and use again

best base ever! I had to do some ajustments with the shooting floor for peak downs but I mean it still works same with the roof. Best base I have seen yet. I am a 8k pvper and it takes alot for the entire base to metal but yk its just a overall base thats great!

@@BuilderRust .... just got raided, first by my allies then my enemys...my allies did it but gave back most of the loot becasue they did not know that it was my new "BEST BASE DESIGN EVER BASE" but the enemys I killed 1v3ed then my allies helped out... wasted so much boom for nothing since I got my loot from my allies + I killed them when they came to raid and got I think 24 rockets and 3 c4. Sorry for the yapping!
Maybe im stupid but for the starter base (before the honeycomb + 2nd floor) where is the entrance to the base meant to be or is it meant to be the roof?
The roof. I build a little 2x1 for a starter until I have enough to build straight to the 2nd floor part of the video

can someone explain me why to give the chests/lockers behind the windows like when you take it with hammer the window will be damaged what if i use garage doors ?? is it better ?

ive built this a few times too cheap of a offline raid to tc people dont bother going through doors they go straight to tc

Only problem I have with this build as a obsessive turret placer as my self you didnt include any battery spots designed for it and it kind of gets to me but I was thinking maybe an extra layer specially for that other wise great build I’m building it right now on my monthly !

I have a question, I'm new to Rust and don't know much about it, but why do you put chests behind a reinforced glass window? Can they be opened or is it decoration?
When you go offline, you can place to glass window so its harder for the raider to reach it :)!
If you have tool cupboard you can just pick up the window with a hammer

The gate is wider than a wall and fills the gap better. Otherwise no.

They did for me too. I figured out once you actually create the shooting floor (specifically the double door frames touching each other) it doesn’t decay. Build the shooting floor & you’re good

So I stress tested this build in a high pop and everyone just kept breaking jump up I recommend (if possible) upgrade the jump up as fast as possible.
Do the frames need to break at around 8:30 in the video when you place the roof on the foundation? I only managed to have that happen for one of the outer TCs.

how to be able to place main tc back when raiders break it as they will overlap so raiders can’t seal but u can’t replace main tc until u disconnect all 3 tcs

How are you powering those turrets? Hopes and dreams? 😝😂 Nice build brotha. I like this base design but I always find myself adding at least 1 to 2 more floors for mixing tables and electric furnaces etc. If the foot print is big enough sometimes one floor is enough for both.

What was the point of placing the foundation and the roof and destroying the ceiling frames at the external TC? What does it do?
it disconnects the externals from the base. It’s in case you get raided.

It's probably about time someone made an exhaustive video talking about the repetitive base design problem in Rust. These days, just about every base is one slight variation of another, with thousands of video tutorials on making just about the design you would expect.
I do understand that it's mostly because this design works in defending yourself against potential raiders, but that is precisely the point that needs to be made in a video explaining the problem.
We need variations that cannot be distinguished from each other. We need more creative freedom or the ability to customize to a much more finer detail. The lack of creative options we have is what leads to copied bases spotting every map, and while you roam, you suffer from constant deja vu.

@@Techaton it survived an offline + online raid in a trio server....Yep I've changed wooden walls to Stone walls...+ I added another layer of high external stone walls.

It makes it so that you can place main tc back if raided,basically griefing protection so that only you can place a new tc

This is a very good base but 1 thing I recommend is making the wide gaps miorw usable in some spots. Where you added the walls in front of the wide gaps it made looking straight through impossible. Good base tho!
