    I really love the continued idea to "move" worforce needs from NW to OW, first for bricks, now for veneers. I'll make sure to implement it, NW is tight for sure!

    Re: Manipulating Working Conditions: I never even thought about klicking on these tabs! This is great information. I have a touch of ADD and I struggle with the complexity of this game. I constantly over- or underproduce. Manipulating the Working Conditions will make it easier for me. Till now, I always looked for the production builings to turn them on or off. And since they are not all in the same place, I spend a lot of time to look for them and change the settings. It made it difficult for me to concentrate on the game. This universal setting will really help me.

      @@rockmcdwayne1710yeah but you’re gonna spend too much money and time just to get a specific specialist. It’s actually not that hard to produce everything on new world. Only if your population is over 100k, I would recommend transporting goods between sessions. With the new dlcs, you can electrify them in the new world as well btw.

    The only route where i find wait to load can be a good thing is when it comes to oil tankers. If u are using 1 NW island to supply 2 or more OW/Cape islands u can run into the situation where 2 or more tankers are getting to close to eachother when they are gonna pick up oil so not all of them get a full load and islands could simply run out becouse the tanker just before picked up all of it. Your only gonna have tankers on that route so having a tanker sitting and waiting a short time isent that big of a deal for them. It´s also a good way to make sure that u never run out of oil by having a more constant influx of oil rather then 1 massive load.

    • @hakansaribal5093
      @hakansaribal5093 ปีที่แล้ว

      For that problem, you should increase the storage capacity at the oil harbors on both sides. There’s a chance of that they reach out the harbors at the time is something you cannot run away. It’s the basic rule when it comes to trade routes and it’s same with every good.

    • @Shiftry87
      @Shiftry87 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hakansaribal5093 That will help for sure but u can still run into the same problem just that it needs more tankers on the route to be an issue. In general its not an issue becouse of the amount of oil most NW islands can produce. I guess its more of an estetic thing seing 2 or more tankers in a convoy and only the first having a full load. With any other trade route u dont wanna use Wait to load becouse in theory that ship could be taking up a loading spot for hours causing problems for other ships trying to load/unload there cargo. U could ofc plop down 15+ piers and dont have any issues but i dont like the look of them so i generally avoid them untill i really need a few. When it comes to Oil routes the wait to load is not as bad becouse only oil tankers are gonna be using the dock and its a simple way to avoid the convoy problem mentioned above. It also helps with the problem where if several tankers wanna drop off oil at the same time but only the first 2 will empty there cargo and the other 3+ will just empty a few ton. Either way works fine really it just looks so dumb having a convoy train for the tankers especially when 1 button can help solve that. It also gives u the added effect that if a few oil tankers start to form a line during there pick up point u know u need to increase the production output or u have to many tankers on that route.

  • @omerbkcgl
    @omerbkcgl 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I agree on not to use "wait to unload" especially on a trade route with a lot of ships or islands with small number of docks. if you hit a bottleneck on island where your palace is placed; you face a lot of disruptions on your workforce, tourists, production on your every island you have departments

    About Working Conditions which solution is best :
    1 - Like you said, reduce things you over-produce to keep a balance (and gain a bit of happiness in the process) ?
    2 - Keep overproducing and passive trade that extra goods (assuming AI buy those goods you're overproducing) ?

    • @Dienaris
      @Dienaris 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TakaTH-cam I completely get your point, no comments on this, but in this case that's exactly the problem. If you want to show the basic gameplay on low scale - you don't need to move the Wood Veneers production to OW at all. One Cigar Factory produce cigars for decent amount of Obreros and Investors. But if you reach the point when one Cigar Factory is not enough, you, with high probability, already use the TUs on other productions chains, so I don't see the reason why it can't be used here.
      However, you do a great job with this series, I just want to make it a little better :))) No offense

    • @TakaYouTube
      @TakaYouTube  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Okay let me explain why I showed it the way I did... I'm explaining how production chains work at a base level and then also giving tips that are easy for a brand new player to understand. Telling a new player that they need to go and sit at a Trader and spend who knows how much money to try and find a single item is not what I consider good advice early on... I want players to understand how production chains work without any extra layers on top of it such as trade union setups. I am going to do an entire video dedicated to different items and some setups that you can use to bypass certain production chains or alternate inputs later on. What's the point in trying to explain how production chains work and easy alternatives, such as just building the wood veneers in the old world, when I can just make a 20 minute video saying don't do any of this and ignore the production chain and just get all of these specialists. There's more to the game than specialists and I'm trying to reinforce that. Too many people rely on specialists and don't try to do anything without them... I really would like to break that a little bit and not make that a habit of people from the very beginning.

    isn't 1 vineyard with tractor enough for 1 cellar?
    the tractor gives a total of 300% production and an extra product every third cycle, which is equal to 4 products per minute unless you have something else boosting production

    • @TakaYouTube

      Two vineyards with a tractor... It takes eight standard vineyards to supply one champagne cellar. A vineyard with a tractor shed is the equivalent of four vineyards.. so two.

Big dumb, and taking a long time to unfudge all I packed 🤣

    i've got a question, probably stupid, about the cigar/wood stuff lane. Since wood stuff is needed to make cigar, if the lane is stuck (because can't unload the cigar and came back without the wood stuff) how does it matter? in theory, that's mean the cigar production will stop, but you are already full (you can't unload) so it should mater? There is probably something I overlooked because I'm a newbie but can't found out what

    • @hakansaribal5093
      @hakansaribal5093 ปีที่แล้ว

      You’re right. Using the same slot for multiple items always cause problems like that. Instead, you should use them seperately. Check the route timing and demand on each side, determine the amount you need to meet the demand. Its like, if you’re demand is 2t per mins and transferring time is about 20 mins, one slot should be enough for that good. One slot for wood veneers and 2 for cigars you can use one ship for this two goods. Bye the time the ship capacity reached the limit, you can add another ship to the trade route.

    Hi ! Thanks for these videos.
    How can you merge différents trade routes in groups and how can you display the stocks of each product on the map when you mouse over product in the configuration of the routes. It is so useful but I didn’t found how.
    Thanks for your help Taka !

    • @TakaYouTube
      @TakaYouTube  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When you create a trade route there is a little drop-down menu that where you can do things like rename the route or delete the route and there is an option called add to group. You just added to a new group or to an existing group and then name the group what you want.
      As far as seeing the stocks of goods when you mouse over an island, that's just in the base game and you don't enable anything for that. You set up a trade route and then mouse over their particular good that you're wanting to see the stock for and it will show up overall the islands that has it.

    I'll admit...I hate being wasteful....and thus never use the Disgard cargo...I either have them wait to unload....or go sell the goods. Discarding seems soo wasteful. We need to re-cycle and use responsibly? :)

    • @TakaYouTube
      @TakaYouTube  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you don't like using discard cargo, then have a few cargo ships picking up goods, set a minimum stock equal to we're slightly higher than the consumption rate multiplied by the trade route travel time between that harbor and a neutral trader that you want to sell stuff to, and sell all that excess. This keeps your storage from filling up. There's absolutely no reason to have a maxed out storage of goods.. they don't do anything for you sitting there.

      for a cargo deliveries on same type of goods on one go(like you collect coffee beans on one end and coffees on other); if you want to use cargo slot both ways but avoid using discard option, I suggest leave one cargo slot empty for your returning cargo(specificly the one on the right end) but give it a deliver order of same good, this way that slot works like a temprorary space to fill but to be emptied on first chance because ships always deliver the goods from left slot to right, ofc if island capacity is full you may have the same problem but if you have constant consumption on both end; this way balances your deliveries for very long time

      Nope, it’s only preferable when you force certain production chains too much and your happiness level causing riots more frequently.
      For example, I need too many bricks production early game and hit 50% ended up with -20 happiness point. To lover that, I can increase the population or lower the working conditions on some other production level from the same tier. Actually, increasing population also helps lower the unhappiness.
