Hey man this story was amazing. I am so sorry I can’t even begin to understand. I don’t know how this video doesn’t have millions of views. I know your dad is proud this was amazing.
Hey man, today is my very first Fathers Day as a Father. Seeing your video was pretty heavy because I can only hope that when my time comes my son's memories of me will have a similar impact on him. This is such an amazing Fathers Day tribute. For me this is exactly how I will want my kids to deal with my passing when that time inevitably comes.
As someone who lost his Dad about 6 years ago, this hits hard. You worded this so wonderfully, you're really great at sharing your stories and experiences. Thanks for sharing with all of us ❤
stumbled across this channel an hour ago and now i'm weeping. i want to show this to the people who say that video games are just worthless time wasters for kids. i wish you and your dad all the best. you did good, fox. 💕
I'm just sitting here, crying.... what an amazing video... you have a beautiful soul. I pray your dad has more time than he was given. You are an amazing creator and editor. You have inspired me. I recently started a channel and doing video game essays, my next one will also be more personal.
I just watched your Cyberpunk video and really liked the storytelling in the way you put your thoughts into the table, so i saw this on the ending screen end was like, "why not?"... I was listening in a such depressive moment of my life, my father is being so though to me in every way, while having to many trouble in my job, a health issue, trying to explain to my ex-girlfriend why we can't be together anymore beacause i need to focus on getting healthier, you know, just having a bad time in everything possible, and hearing your voice talking about your memories, and how your father will be forever with you made me cry so hard... i'm still crying right now. This video was necessary for me. Thank you. I really hope you keep up with this, and look forward to see more of this. You are doing great. You dad was a wonderful man, he will never die, we all know he left a part of him in your heart that will never fade away.
I just wanted to say how you touched my heart. My father had a nintendo64 too and I started to play games first with it at the age of 6. Star Fox has a big place in my heart too and I'm super glad that I stumbled upon your channel. I started crying when you mentioned Fox's father leading him, unlocking a memory I had from years ago. I hope you are doing well, and I'm sure that your father is really proud of you. I wish you and your father the best 💕
i stumbled upon your videos only a couple of days ago and man i have to say that youre hitting different. Your videos may be short, but impactful. Much love and thanks for creating.
Even tho i cannot share the same feeling about your dad i understand the emotions behind it and it shows so much interesting feelings such as how your father asked you to hand the controller to him to show you a new path, just like in a way the father of fox did, your dad sounds like a good person and i bet he thinks the same of you. thank you not only for sharing this beautifull history but also for editing this great video and adapting it in a entertaining format. Im really enjoying watching your content.
Hey. I just found your channel through your "how you play games is how you do everything." video, and then I watched this one. I'm so sorry to hear about your / your dad's situation. This was a lovely video in his honour, and I'm sure it would bring a smile to his face and a warmth to his heart. I lost my own dad several weeks ago. He was originally diagnosed with oesophageal cancer a few years ago, but it returned and spread, and he was diagnosed with terminal cancer near the end of last year. Your circumstances will be different, but I sort of know what it's like to be in that situation. It's tough, but keep going as much as you're able. Some days you may feel like crap and you just need to take things slowly; other days you may feel fine. Go easy on yourself - don't expect too much of yourself. I wish the best for you, your dad, and your loved ones. I hope you get to cherish whatever time you have together. Take care.
Ugh. It’s crazy. Star Fox 64 (more than maybe any other game I’ve played) is me and my father’s game. I’d watch him soar through both easy and hard paths. Until he gave me the reins and let my conquer the Lylat System. Idk if these experiences are the reason SF64 is one of my favorite games of all time but I’m certain it has an impact. Sending you love and strength, my friend.
You’re blessed to of had a father. Some of us never had a father or even a male role model as a child. It kills me to know I’ll never have that experience in this life and it breaks my heart but there’s no room for envy when we’re all given different paths to walk.
star fox 64 3D was my favorite game when i was a kid. the background music is so nostalgic. Also everything you said about the game was so relatable. i had to find the secrets and was mind blown when i discovered new planets.
I just went through something similar. I lost my dad. But, we played MoH Allied Assault a lot. I recently replayed it. Brought back some good memories.

made my cry mid-video when realized i was at this moment cooking what my dad used to cook
such a beautiful story! i’m so sorry about your father. i bet he was just the best :((

"I think it's safe to say most of you all have never heard of Star Fox 64"
Fancy way of telling me I'm old 💀

It’s funny, the original Starfox was similarly meaningful to me. And then of course, Star fox 64 some years later.
Wish you the best my boy
