As professional travel journalists, it is customary and normal for cruise lines to provide complimentary cruise accommodations. Some cruise lines offer additional travel services such as air and/or ground transportation, hotels, etc. It is NOT typical for cruise lines to pay journalists for a review or video. This would be considered a "sponsored" review or video and would be disclosed up-front in the review or video. CruiseReport.com does not give the cruise line(s) any guarantee that a review will be 100% positive. The cruise line has no input as to the editing of a review or video. If we experience a problem or negative situation during a cruise (that we feel is significant or of any consequence), we will report it in our written review or video.

Third Celebrity in 2 years booked on Ascent during Christmas. Excited to cruise for the holiday.
Was worried you had stopped cruising. Glad to see you back!
We totally agree. We would rather be served food at a buffet than to partake of the utensils and serve ourselves. Ships are bigger, people couch and sneeze and don’t sanitize their hands. At our age we would rather stay healthy for the amount of monies we spend on our vacations. Great to see you back!
Glad to see you back. Other than "tips for travellers", there arent many of travel channels that appeal to my more mature sense of "adventure".
So glad to see you back. Blessings to you both!
One of the things we like sailing on HAL is that for the most part they serve the food to you in the buffet. Currently we're on the Regal Princess and everyone serves themselves which we don't care for. They've also banned door decorations.
Really? No more door decorations. Didn't see that one coming.
I'm glad you're back. My wife and I were worried about you guys!
Why not hand out clean tongs to each person as people enter the buffet which will be tossed in a bucket at the end?
missed you guys..........where you been?
Im always suspicious of reviews when TH-camrs are given the cruise for free. Can I trust their reviews are honest?
Like I said, not sure you can really trust ANY reviews. I would certainly not trust any review from someone that was on a 2 or 3 day media preview cruise because you just can't get the real experience. There is value to be gained from professional (journalist) reviews as well as those from paying guests. Any review that is 100% positive and glowing or sounds like an advertisement is always suspect. Likewise, any review that is 100% negative and nothing more than complaining, is even more suspect.
We will be on sun princess in November
I’m looking forward to your review
Welcome back. Happy New Year. We’ve had our first cruise on Oceania Vista last December loved it.
Best food at sea so far. Now we’re looking forward to our first Silver Sea sailing on the Silver Nova in May to Alaska would let you know what we think.
Warm regards to you both.
Rose
We have been trying to work out a sailing on Oceania. You will love Silversea. Hope we get to do Nova or Ray this summer.
@@CruiseReport Thank you for your reply. I’ll let you know what we think.
O limits to starters or entrees on Beyond MDRs. Some specialty have limits .
Which cruise line did not ask you you back after a negative review
There have been a couple. But NCL comes to mind as well as MSC.
@@CruiseReportI've sailed both. Frankly, from my own (yes anecdotal) experiences on both, they wouldn't have to NOT ask me back for me to not go back. Not my cup of tea. Many of us over 50, are looking for a mature, cultured and relaxing experience. That is why I appreciate you guys on cruise report. You are sailing with similar life experience and perspective.
You may honestly intend to be unbiased when given free cruises, but subconsciously, it has an effect. You have no control over this.
Possibly. However, it depends on how the reviewer perceives the term FREE. I personally feel like the time and effort I put into reviewing the ship, creating and editing the videos, and delivering content to a large audience is as valuable as the cost of the cruise. So, I don't see it as a FREE cruise.
@@CruiseReport In return for the time spent, you get well PAID by TH-cam. Not paying for the cruise makes you very sympathetic. It's human nature.
@@cruisecrazy7066 Actually, we are not monetized on TH-cam.
@@CruiseReport So....How do all the vloggers make money?
@@cruisecrazy7066 Most, if not all are monetized on TH-cam. Larger vloggers get sponsors to pay for advertising. There might be some huge vloggers that actually get paid by the cruise lines, but I suspect VERY few. Many are actually travel agents so their TH-cam channels drive consumers to their TA business.
